Une de nos meilleurs expériences au Canada, & même ailleurs. La nourriture est somptueuse, digne d'un étoilé, mais l'ambiance reste conviviale (plats à partager) avec une serveuse professionnelle mais amusante. Nous avons passé une magnifique fête d'anniversaire grâce à Le Cadet.

Overall, cadet was pretty good & the service was really nice. However, don't be surprised at the size & price of the plates. 6 pieces of gnocchi in a bit of sauce for 24$. Portions are pretty small, we had to order one more dish to the already 2 we ate + the focaccia to be sustained Dessert was bomb tho ! Recommandation are the foccacia & the bread pudding for sure. The gnocchi & the beef tartare were pretty disappointing. They do have good cocktails.

Une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle au restaurant Cadet. Nous avons commencé par le cocktail soap dedans, une petite touche sour couplé au gin. Suivis des pétoncles qui étaient succulentes, fondantes en bouche, & les calmars avec brocolis, absolument délicieux. Pour le dessert, la pavlova recommandée par Alexandre, le barman, accompagnée d'un vin mousseux Cerdon aux notes de fruits rouges, était une merveilleuse découverte. On a pris aussi deux vins blanc superbes - Guancibianca & Minérale +. Nous étions au comptoir, ce qui a rendu l'échange avec le personnel encore plus agréable. Le service était professionnel & chaleureux, avec des conseils avisés sur notre voyage au Québec. Une soirée inoubliable, nous recommandons vivement !

Excellente formule de proposer une carte de plats à partager. Le conseil est de prendre deux plats par personne, ensuite de quoi chacun picore dans les plats choisis. Les préparations sont savoureuses. Le service efficace comme il faut, sans être particulièrement chaleureux. Nous avons trouvé que l'ambiance de la salle manquait de chaleur, un côté grande cantine, nous étions entourés de tables de 10 à 20 personnes, c'est une bonne nouvelle pour les affaires du restaurant, mais bon, pour nous, on se sentait un peu perdus au milieu de tout ça.

I love love love this place. Everything is so well designed, well cooked, & well served. I would say this is the best restaurant I have tried in Montreal during our stay. I really recommend the sea bass & calamari.

Overall we really liked the food! The focaccia & calamari were super good to eat together. Ranking from favorite to least favorite: Focaccia = Calamari > Scallop > Veal cheek > Oyster mushroom

Based on reviews, we were excited to dine at Le Cadet. But - the experience did not live up to expectation at all. Service was neither attentive nor very present. Had to ask a few times to order a second drink. Food was very average - not at all the quality or innovation that was hyped. Calamari dish was drowning in luke warm chili oil & was on the cooler side of room temperature. Beef tartare had the taste & texture of aged beef, though not mentioned as such on the menu, & the service didn't seem to know how it was prepared when we asked. Cod croquettes were ok but a dish that could be found anywhere. Gnocci was ordered without ham (due to allergies) but came served with ham anyway. Broccoli & contre filet were tasty. The spicy sauce that accompanied the foccacia was overpowering for such delicate bread. The menu is served tapas-style, & it was recommended that we order 3 dishes per person. We ordered 2 per person, which was absolutely enough, & in hindsight was probably a few dishes too many. Atmosphere was a bit boring.

We absolutely love this restaurant; every dish is excellently prepared. The fried oven fish is particularly outstanding-it's rare to find something so delicious. The crispy skin & the assortment of vegetables underneath create a rich & enjoyable texture. We also loved the flavor & preparation of the squid. The only downside is that the portions are a bit small. The service is also very good.

We had a superb meal at Cadet. 2 adults & a child had 5 plates plus the focaccia & we were stuffed. I think the steak plate counts as two. Each dish was unique & meticulously prepared. The beans (green beans) was an excellent salad like dish with many flavors & textures. It took me a minute to figure out unwrapping the leeks instead of cutting them & they were a good texture in a nice sauce. Our two favorite dishes were the ratte potatoes (great sauce) & the beets. The server recommended a very nice cocktail for my wife & I hade an excellent glass of wine.

Hats off for the top-notch service, on top of the delicious food. Up to par with Michelin establishments. Not the typical place to bring children, but they were super accommodating! Waiters suggested kid-friendly items on the menu (which were indeed a success). Must try the fried sea bass, beef tartare, mushrooms, pavolva & bread pudding - all flawless. Cocktails are also amazing & the rosé sancerre was a hit.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié le service assis au bar la barmaid était de bonne compagnie ! Je n'ai pas trouvé la carte de vin très attrayante, ça tourne beaucoup autour des vins jeunes & vif alors que j'aime le corps & la terre lorsque je mange dans un type tapas qui offre un menu 75% végétarien, la viande qui était offerte étaient de grande qualité & délicieusement apprêté.

What a great experience - The vibe is very cool, good house music in the background, not too loud so conversation is easy. Our server was friendly, timely, & the wait staff are well coordinated. We started off with 2 house cocktails (gin / mezcal ) which were delicious, shared 3 plates, 2 glasses of wine & a dessert. The salmon & broccoli dishes were amazing, as was the bread pudding. The table next to us was raving about their plates too. Perfect amount of food to share for 2. Reasonably priced (under $200 with good tip) for food quality, presentation, service & location. We loved it - definitely go back to try other dishes on the menu.

We went here for a night out this past Saturday & it was fantastic. The ambiance, the staff, service, food & drink were superb! We had 5 dishes & they were excellent. We had the razor clams(to die for), the brocolli, the leek, the veal cheeks & the fried sea bass. Cannot wait to return, it was topnotch.

Plats délicieux dans une ambiance décontractée. Les vins recommandés étaient délicieux & se mariaient à merveilles avec les plats. Soyez au minimum 4 puisque vous voudrez goûter à chaque item du menu! Le service était impeccable, attentionné & rapide. Une excellente soirée, nous y retournerons assurément.

Très déçu, nous avions vraiment hâte d'essayer ce restaurant. Lors de la réservation nous avons mentionné mon allergie à l'ail mais ils ne semblent pas en avoir tenu compte... les seules options qui m'ont étaient proposées so t des options crus ( genre ceviche/ tartare) après plusieurs discussions & le fait que j'étais vraiment surprise qu'il n'y est pas d'autre option ( après tout il y a un chef) j'ai finalement réussi à avoir une petite guédille d'homard qui était bonne au goût mais très peu garnis (3 petits morceaux d'homard). Très déçu de notre visite ils auraient dû simplement nous dire qu'ils ne géraient pas les allergie alimentaire.
