The staff were super friendly & the ambiance was perfect. Best Persian cuisine in Montreal. It offers variety of starters & main dishes & Kebabs were really fresh & juicy. I highly recommend this place.
My wife has celiac (Gluten allergy) & the waiter took care of it carefully. Even he was alert to mention that rice could be contaminated due to having bread (Tahdig underneath rice cooking pot). Just perfect. Delicious & generous food. Im traditional style dishes (Metal trays). Amazing Mastokhiar.
Very tasty & fresh kabobs, served in nice dishes in a cozy atmosphere. Would definitely go back for more, in future. Also quite a few gluten free options if you talk to the waiting staff. Update: returned after a year during our re-visit of Montreal & super happy again with the quality of the food, ambiance & service.
Behesht Restaurant in Montreal is an absolute gem & a true paradise for Persian cuisine lovers! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The culinary journey here is nothing short of extraordinary - every dish is crafted with impeccable skill & bursting with authentic flavors. The kebabs are grilled to perfection, tender & juicy, while the fragrant rice dishes, infused with saffron & other delightful spices, are simply divine. The rich, savory stews are an absolute must-try, & the appetizers & desserts will leave you speechless. The service is top-notch, with attentive & friendly staff who go above & beyond to ensure an unforgettable dining experience. Behesht Restaurant truly lives up to its name - it's a little piece of heaven in Montreal. Whether you're a connoisseur of Persian food or a first-timer, this place will exceed your expectations. Highly recommend!
Average food in not a great neighborhood. The area & parking lot was very dirty. Inside decorations were very nice. Service was good. Appetizer (lash bademjan) was good but the main dishes (combination of kabas) were very disappointing making us to regret driving all the way here.
food was undeniably delicious, I couldn't help but feel let down by the service. The flavors of the dishes transported me to another world, but unfortunately, the service fell short of the standards set by other fine dining establishments in the area. It's a shame to see such exquisite cuisine overshadowed by subpar service. Hopefully, the restaurant can address this issue, as it has the potential to truly shine with a more attentive approach to customer service."
We came to this restaurant as everytime we visit Montreal we like to have some Persian food. We saw this restaurant had 4.5 stars so we immediately decided to come to Behesht. The spot itself is very cozy, small but cozy. The inside is designed very nicely giving you a taste of what Iranian restaurants are like. My dish (bakhtiari $50) Others ($20-30) The kabob was pretty tasty however there were a few critiques. The rice had a bit of a smell to it, I'm not sure why.. if it's cheap rice or maybe the way they made it? One of the beef kabobs were completely burnt on the back as well. The chicken was juicy & tender but lacked salt as I had to put salt on my whole dish. The salad & most-mousier (yogurt) was delicious. The service was also OK. Tea was complimentary but they brought the tea with our food dishes still on the table so we tried to stack our plates & make room for the tea. They also forgot to bring our drinks & we had to remind them. One more thing: the bathrooms are very dirty! If the owner or staff sees this I hope it gives them a sign to clean their bathroom.... For these reasons I can only give this place a 3/5
I called today to place an order for pick up ( baby in the car) & asked for 2 koobideh plates ( pretty straightforward) the gentlemen that answered asked me to give him the name of the dish as stated on their menu. I was driving & couldn't open the menu to look for the names that they gave topical Persian dishes for something as simple as "koobideh" I drove from Laval in traffic ( 50 min ) to there & due to the lack of help & service over the phone decided to go to an other restaurant & pick up instead. He basically told me to go there to order & to wait for my food. Over all I will never be stepping foot there, there are over 10 places in the same area that offer great food & that aren't rude to people on the phone. He wasn't nice at all, not helpful at all & cut me off while I was trying to be friendly. I won't put 0 stars because it's irrelevant to the food but I am so disappointed. Never again.
The food was really tasty & unique & the quality was pretty good! The combos don't seem like the best deals, our side ordered 5 plates & the other side ordered a 5 person plate. They paid quite a bit more than us but only had a bit more food. They also only had one extra meat compared to us. That said, the food was excellent & I'm looking forward to coming back to try more dishes. Also the lentil soup was spectacular!
The best choice if you want to try iranian dishes. 👏👏👏wish they'll keep the quality as it is...
In my opinion, Bhesht is one of the best Persian restaurants in Montreal & you will have the best experience of the Persian dishes.
I recently dined here & while the ambiance & service were excellent, I found the food to be less impressive. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy, & the staff were attentive & friendly. However, the dishes lacked that "wow" factor I was hoping for. While not outstanding, it's still a decent option if you prioritize ambiance & service over extraordinary cuisine.
