It's definitely the best Persian restaurant in Montreal especially for Koobideh kebab. The staff are really nice too. April 2024 update: they have made the Koobideh kebab thinner & juicier which is even better now! see photoVoir plus
food was undeniably delicious, I couldn't help but feel let down by the service. The flavors of the dishes transported me to another world, but unfortunately, the service fell short of the standards set by other fine dining establishments in the area. It's a shame to see such exquisite cuisine overshadowed by subpar service. Another fantastic celebration at Behest. This is the best Iranian restaurant in Montreal. We just came back from a birthday dinner for my husband. The atmosphere is inviting & the presentation is great (plates are gorgeous) but the best part is the food. The beautifully seasoned, slowly cooked lamb shank is my favourite but everything is delicious at this place. My daughter is vegetarian & she loves all the options here. All meals start with a soup or salad & end with a cup of tea. The service was excellent & they didn't charge us for the cake cutting or the tea to end our meal. Small restaurant with nice decor. Waited about 20 minutes in line at a crammed entrance to get a table. I noticed some staff looking at us & others waiting, & there seemed to be this smugness attitude. When someone finally came for the table, they said it was about a 30-45 minute wait, but even then, they weren't sure. Another restaurant received my money with their respect & good service.Voir plus

J'avais déjà réservé une table pour sept personnes. Tout était en ordre au moment de l'arrivée. Notre serveur s'appelait Parsa, il était très poli & compétent. J'ai eu diverses commandes. Mais à mon avis, Kal Kebab, le Barg & le Kase Kebab étaient les meilleurs de tous. Après longtemps, un restaurant iranien de qualité a été trouvé au Québec. Merci à vousVoir plus

We came to this restaurant as everytime we visit Montreal we like to have some Persian food. We saw this restaurant had 4.5 stars so we immediately decided to come to Behesht. The spot itself is very cozy, small but cozy. The inside is designed very nicely giving you a taste of what Iranian restaurants are like. My dish (bakhtiari $50) Others ($20-30) The kabob was pretty tasty however there were a few critiques. The rice had a bit of a smell to it, I'm not sure why.. if it's cheap rice or maybe the way they made it? One of the beef kabobs were completely burnt on the back as well. The chicken was juicy & tender but lacked salt as I had to put salt on my whole dish. The salad & most-mousier (yogurt) was delicious. The service was also OK. Tea was complimentary but they brought the tea with our food dishes still on the table so we tried to stack our plates & make room for the tea. They also forgot to bring our drinks & we had to remind them. One more thing: the bathrooms are very dirty! If the owner or staff sees this I hope it gives them a sign to clean their bathroom.... For these reasons I can only give this place a 3/5Voir plus
I recommend this restaurant : 1) The service was good, fast, & appropriate 👌 2) The food quality was really good, I can say it was on top of what I expected. Came here for iftaar with some friends & was a good experience. Food tasted great & presented well too. My friends & I got into a long conversation, but never felt rushed by the staff. The restaurant was really beautiful too. Highly recommend it.Voir plus
I called today to place an order for pick up ( baby in the car) & asked for 2 koobideh plates ( pretty straightforward) the gentlemen that answered asked me to give him the name of the dish as stated on their menu. I was driving & couldn't open the menu to look for the names that they gave topical Persian dishes for something as simple as "koobideh" I drove from Laval in traffic ( 50 min ) to there & due to the lack of help & service over the phone decided to go to an other restaurant & pick up instead. He basically told me to go there to order & to wait for my food. Over all I will never be stepping foot there, there are over 10 places in the same area that offer great food & that aren't rude to people on the phone. He wasn't nice at all, not helpful at all & cut me off while I was trying to be friendly. I won't put 0 stars because it's irrelevant to the food but I am so disappointed. Never again.Voir plus

I have visited this restaurant couple of times since opening. I always have treated well. Yes might be very busy some days & we should wait until seated, however we never waited too long for the order. The food is good & tasty. Highly recommend it.Voir plus
