Everything was delicious. My favorite was the almond croissant. Coffee was also good. Enjoyed watching the pastries being made. Feels like a neighborhood treasure. Judging by the foot traffic, has quite the following but not uncomfortably busy or crowded. Just steady.

Le Kouign-Amann, c'est quoi ? Où peut-on en acheter ? Comment faut-il le déguster ? & si on veut le faire soi-même ? Quelle est sa recette ? Une seule recette à la Pâtisserie Au kouign aman à Mont Royal ! Cette spécialité bretonne à pur délice, frais, chaud, goûteux. Le beurre est l'un des principaux ingrédients, en effet, Kouign-Amann, une fois traduit du breton, signifie « Gâteau au beurre »😋 Quand je suis rentrée à cette pâtisserie, j'ai compris d'où vient cette bonne odeur de gâteau breton chaud & caramélisé 😃 Ils ont aussi des variétés de viennoiseries comme les croissants à prix très abordables, les croissants aux amandes, des chaussons. L'accueil était très chaleureux, amical, on se sent bien chez nous ❤️ Fortement recommandé !

It would've been a shame if they didn't do their namesake justice...but they absolutely knocked it out of the park! Excellent Kouign Amann with a crispy sweet exterior & flaky buttery interior. Would've loved to also try their croissants but they sell out quick!

I just have to thank you. My second time at the place, I live in Halifax, & I was there in August & now in March. The breads are simply delicious, the croissants melt in your mouth. But what I have to be grateful for is that last Marco I went with my daughter & she took the risk of placing our order in French (her mother tongue is Portuguese, but she learned to read, write, & speak in English). It seemed to me to be one of the chefs who served us & he was super attentive, he realized that she was out of her comfort zone but he let her order & it was great. As a result, she was very proud of her & I just have to thank her & recommend the place. Congratulations.

This review is long overdue... I visited the bakery back in November while on holidays in Montreal. I tried everything they had & have been dreaming of it all since. The standards were set too high & now I can't enjoy a croissant anywhere else (writing to you from NYC) I would return to Montreal just for this bakery. Thank you for the unforgettable food experience

Un incontournable de Montréal ! Il faut essayer au moins une fois le kouign! Je pense que maintenant le croissant aux amandes est quelques peu différent que celui sur mes photos. Il n'y a pas d'option végane, mais j'aimerai voir & goûter un kouign végan! Maybe one day 🤞🏻 Selon mon chum, leur croissant est le meilleur au monde (ou de Montréal)

Must visit when in Montreal! Their kouign-amann is so buttery but not overly sweet. Their apple puff pastries, their pain au chocolat, their croissants (cheese croissants, almond croissants, plain croissants) are all amazing, classic textbook viennoiserie tradition. Their hot chocolate is not overly sweet, which goes very well with a slice of warm kouign-amann on a cold winter day. The place is near Mont-Royal station. It has this lovely vibe of old historic Montreal store in the inside, from the decor to the music they play. There are only two small tables (2-3 chairs per table), but the pastries get sold so steadily that, whenever I visit, the pastries are always warm & fresh of the oven. I've never able to take a picture because I forget everything except eating when I hold their pastries.
