Crispy on the outside, fluffy & moist on the inside. It was slightly too oily (not buttery though) for my liking. But traditional butter cake that tasted delicious. Not my favorite but still a wonderfully well done pastry. Great experience to try.

I've never had Kouign Amann before, but I could easily kill an entire loaf or two of these. Incredibly buttery, salty, & sweet. You honestly cannot ask for a better pastry. Exquisite.

Awesome French bakery, everything is made fresh. Capacino coffee Is also available. It's a small place on a main shopping strip. Has a place to sit & enjoy your coffees & pastry. Must try when in Montreal. It's worth the visit. Come early in the morning. Also must stop by the church a couple of blocks up/ Down the street on the same side of the bakery if you believe in God. If not just keep walking.

Dropped by Kouing Amann Bakery yesterday afternoon & left with a box full of goodies. The smell inside is absolutely heavenly & makes it hard to choose just one thing. Everything looked beautiful in the display case, & the taste lived up to the visual presentation. It is clear they take pride in their work. The location is convenient & it is a wonderful place to sit for a few minutes with a coffee & a pastry. I am already planning my next visit to try the rest of the menu.

I don't get to enjoy bakeries often due to a pistachio allergy but when I visited Kouing Amann there was no pistachio on the menu so I had the privilege of ordering. My girlfriend & I sampled four of their pastries & all were excellent. The house signature pastry is beautifully layered with a textural contrast & flavor that left me speechless. This bakery is going to be a required stop on any future visit to Montreal.

Came very early to get the Kouign Amaan for birthday. Legitimately the best thing/pastry I have ever eaten. Prepare for mind to be blown.
Must visit location in Montreal.
Not too sweet, a tiny bit of saltiness for balance, crispy thin caramelised outside, extremely soft buttery inside (almost like a crispy cake complex croissant).

Not to mention server was super nice.
& then I got 2 more & I never usually get more of anything, so these are dangerous, good thing I don't live here.

My favourite bakery in Montreal. Quaint, authentic, friendly.

The apple compote filled pastry is superb along with an assortment of croissant flavours & Kings cake.

Only two to three tables & standing room if you are planning to eat inside.

Wonderful staff!
