Wow. What an absolutely amazing place. I have eaten every product of theirs & literally everything is amazing. Their croissants are gorgeous, as is their honey glazed tarte by the slice. All of the flavoured croissants (almond, cheese, & chocolate) are phenomenal. Their coffee is great
This seems to be a gem even for Montreal residents. Barely any that I spoke to have heard of it & yet it was my favourite bakery by far!
Cafe Mocha was great, the baked goods were incredible, all the croissants were light, fluffy, & fresh, will forever be a stop when visiting Montreal. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Cozy little bakery. The smell of butter once you enter is amazing. There is not much seating, & it gets filled up pretty quickly. We had a slice of kouing amann (butter cake), & I heard the angels sing. It was crispy on top but with a soft middle. Very fresh. I have to come back for the croissants &, of course, another slice of the kouing amann.
I split an almond croissant with my friend & it was the single best croissant I have ever had in my life. I don't even like almond croissants, & it was better than any other croissant I ever had. My friend offered me the last bite of his half, & I couldn't even be polite before letting it melt in my mouth. Combine that with the friendliest, most hard-working staff you've ever met & you will find yourself writing a 5 star review as quick as me.
The most deliciously buttery pastry bites in all of Montreal. Their kouign amann is simply the most delectable baked item I have ever tasted in my life. It is the epitome of sweet, caramelized buttery, flaky. Also had an almond croissant which was probably the best croissant I've had. Looked a bit flat & deflated but was just as sweet, buttery, flaky, & delicious as the kouign amann. Both smelt & tasted so good they was gone before I had the chance to take any photos. Truly a must visit bakery.
What a phenomenal pastry shop &, more specifically, pastry itself! One slice was more than enough for the two of us because it's so tremendously buttery, but it's delicious & I wish we could've brought one home with us to share! The almond croissants looked a little flat, but the plain ones looked & smelled good.
This is a place I used to go to regularly 14 years ago when I lived in Montreal. The lamination cannot be compared to those days. Kougin Amann itself is not laminated how it was & is more towards the Bretagne way now which is fine, as that is the classic. It's just lost its oumph & unique factor unfortunately. Same with the croissants, especially the cheese, lack of lamination & the cheese being laminated into the centre. The production line has changed & don't get me wrong it's still delicious, it's just not the same.
They don't only have the most authentic kouign amann dessert from Brittany, but also the MOST DELICIOUS cheese croissant! Everyone working there is so kind & friendly & you can also have your heavenly pastry inside in one of the two cozy corners. Enjoy!
A life-changing viennoiserie experience! The croissant had so many incredibly crisp, thin layers, that you could practically see through, which shattered with every intensely buttery bite. The namesake Kouign Amann was gorgeously buttery & caramelized. Even the apple turnover was remarkable! We went back the next day before heading home & couldn't have been happier! I might move to Montréal just to have access to this incredible bakery!
