Sushi Momo est un restaurant spécialisé en sushi végétalien et cuisine japonaise et a été fondé en décembre 2014 par chef de sushi extraordinaire Christian Manuel Ventura Alatorre. Avec plus que 10 ans d'expérience, les créations de Christian sont à la fois délicieuses et exceptionnellement innovatrices. Christian voulait offrir aux végétaliens le plus d'options de sushis végétaliens de toute la ville de Montréal.
Sushi Momo est un spot vegan à Montréal réputé pour ses sushis créatifs et savoureux, présentés avec soin et une ambiance chaleureuse. Le menu très varié offre des sashimis, makis, arancini et plats chauds entièrement végan, et l'on y découvre des textures et des saveurs qui surprennent même les novices. Le service est généralement attentif et professionnel, et l'ambiance intime et tamisée en fait une adresse idéale pour une soirée ou une occasion spéciale; la réservation est fortement recommandée, surtout les soirs de fin de semaine. Des retours évoquent parfois des plats un peu lourds ou des temps d'attente, mais l'ensemble est largement perçu comme exceptionnel et mémorable. Le rapport qualité-prix et l'engagement envers la cuisine végétale sont positifs, faisant de cette destination l'une des meilleures sushis véganes et recommandée aussi bien aux végans qu'aux curieux.
Delicious, beautiful & creative vegan sushi. You will have to wait a while to get your food but it is worth it!!! Not all servers are knowledgeable about the saké so make sure to ask for the sommelier.
I am not a vegetarian at all, but as a carnivore these dishes were fantastic! We did the 4 flight special & would do it again & again. They make the best miso soup! The desserts were OK. Service was amazing. We are recommending this place to our friends!
I came in with high hopes which were only partially met by the food. I would advise against the omakase; in my experience, the chef's choice is of sushi that is not especially notable (think the avocado-cucumber-mango variety that is the typical vegetarian option in any sushi restaurant, save for the use of vegan cream cheese), & it feels like they choose their cheaper rolls for this (I noticed another table got the exact same rolls), making the price tag hard to justify. Definitely better to go à la carte; I was jealous of my friend's order of the Umami roll! The appetizers were also very good. The service & ambience were excellent.
I recently dined at this fantastic vegan sushi restaurant & was thoroughly impressed by the culinary delights on offer. The meal began with a comforting bowl of Miso Soup, rich in flavor & perfectly seasoned. The Soba Mango Salad was a refreshing blend of textures & flavors, combining the crispness of fresh vegetables with the sweetness of mango & the satisfying chew of soba noodles. The highlight of the meal was the Assorted Vegan Sushi, beautifully presented & delicious, showcasing an innovative approach to plant-based cuisine. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, making this restaurant a must-visit for any food lover.

One of our party is coeliac, so choose this for it's gluten free options. Half way thru the meal I realised it was vegan 😳 That aside, it was excellent. Staff were super good. Food was well balanced for tastes textures etc. If I had any beef (pun intended) it would be that there was to much food - but they gave us take out containers to take it with us 😁
I enjoyed all the food but I came with huge expectations given the 4.7 rating & I think that's a bit overrated. We had miso soup, gyozas, & 3 rolls: momo, queen of hearts...the sushi was good but not mind-blowing & the gyozas a bit salty. I'd recommend it though if you are vegan
Absolutely delicious food. Probably some of the best sushi I have ever tasted. I usually eat fish, & am a big fan of sushi, so I was not sure that a restaurant serving exclusively vegan sushi would be for me. Boy was I wrong. It seems like you can order anything & it will be delicious! The service is nice, i'd only say that it is a bit long to get your plate but they were also very busy both times I have gone. The atmosphere is cozy, it's not too loud. I'd highly recommend this place for a date or a celebration!
This restaurant was highly recommended to us by a friend in NJ so we tried it. We loved the food, the experience & the service. Everything we tried was delicious. The SOS was as spicy as promised. My 13 year old enjoyed everything she tried as well. Definitely recommend. I wouldn't miss it if you are vegetarian or vegan!
The restaurant looks nice inside. I do not know about the food since they did not have anything I wanted - did not realize it was vegetarian sushi. When i found out during ordering, I decided to leave. They wanted to charge me for the water.
The food was ok, not that good enough but average. There is a plate with salamon slices, it was 40 grams plus some vegetables & sauce for 15$. The sushi was good, & the staff were nice. Non alcoholic Beverages are so terrible, just kind of arom added to iced water. My main complaint is about those chairs in the bar, for god's sake, who is the architect who decided to put kids garden chairs into a bar. Im 174 cm tall. i found it really annoying to sit. I was really pressed & blocked between the table & those fixed chairs! When asked the server if there was any place to sit, she told us there were no tables. In the end, when we finished our meal, she told her there was an available.
Got lucky with a spot on the patio on a Friday night. Service was wonderful, staff were excited to present each item. Service was not quick but felt like a good pace to enjoy the different options. Everything was delicious, though many options feel like they are packing a lot of different flavours into a single roll. All in all we had a great time & would recommend this to anyone looking for good plant based options. We previously (2021) tried this restaurant as take-out & would recommend eating at the restaurant over take-out!
Simply Amazing! The food, service, ambience, everything is top notch. I would never have thought that vegan sushi could be this good. A unique combination of flavours & mock meats. Personal favourite was the Gyu Tempura Maki
