Outstanding sushi with even better preparation! I love sushi & travel a bunch, this place is my favorite! Go see Wilson!!- he is very knowledgeable about their sushi, & usually has some off-menu choices - you should just keep saying Yes to whatever he recommends. Oh & he is an ace mixologist too, so while he is setting you up with some of the finest sushi in North America, he will keep you hydrated with some outstanding sushi & beverage pairings. They opened an extra space upstairs with an additional small cozy bar. If you can catch him up there & sit at the bar, you will have a most excellent sushi experience!
The food & the ambience did not make for the vile service we received. We went in for a light meal on Dec 17 at 6:15, our Asian lady server (Shana?) gave us insane attitude, I'm assuming because we ordered very little; rolling her eyes, side eyeing, & twitching her eyebrow at us when we finished our order & asked for the bill. We came in for less than 1 hour to kill time which is why we did not order much & we were not fussy; she interacted with us a total of 2 times, to take our order & give us the bill. I do not recommend bringing dates or guests here as this is truly embarrassing for this establishment.
Amazing Nigiris & Sashimi, if you are searching for a restaurant that offer sushis similar to what you can find in Japan: This is the place! I highly recommend the premium sashimi & the chief selection nigiris, if you are 4 this will be perfect for all of you. I went there 3 times in 1 week because I wanted to share this amazing restaurant with other people.
Refreshed my appreciation for sushi. I was served by Wilson, who was attentive & conversational, made it feel welcoming. The space is small, I'd recommend timing your visit off of busy hours. The small interior adds to the dining experience, as it allows you to focus on the food & atmosphere. The sushi quality was phenomenal. I paid for a premium experience, & I got one. The attention to flavours & the quality of the fish were superb. Sushi of this grade should be enjoyed fresh, not via a delivery app. The yuzu cocktail was perfect, a strong recommendation.

What a gem !a friend of mine recommended this restaurant & after getting a haircut downtown we decided to give it a go . We were not disappointed ! Food was excellent , as a matter of fact some of the best sushi we have ever had , service was fast & attentive & atmosphere cozy & hip at the same time . We will be back !
Most probably the best sushi in MTL. Was trying to find best place & was never satisfied even with most recommended places in the city . Today it was insight. Can compare the quality with most reputable places in the world like Zuma, Nobu ect. Amazing quality, amazing taste, service , highly recommended!
Average - Overpriced for the quality - Bad Service I had high expectations after seeing so many photos on Instagram, which should have actually hinted me that this place was likely not the omakase holy grail but rather more a flashy & pricey type of restaurant that leaves you disappointed. Definitely inferior quality than Jun I or Park. The presentations are nice, but the sushis were sometimes dry & not what you would expect from a top sushi place. The inside of the restaurant is also very tacky & of low quality finishing. I was having diner at the bar & the way the bar was made, we couldn't see the chefs make the sushi which defeats the purpose of bar seats at a sushi restaurant. The service was below expectations - I understand the 2 hour seating concept but the way the waiter was treating us just waiting for us to leave was disappointing. Also, the way the waiter stayed at 2 inches of me as I was paying to pressure me in giving me more tip was very unprofessional. Overall, you can tell the employees are inexperienced when compared to the employees at top sushi restaurants. I do not recommend
Hidden Fish is my all time favourite sushi restaurant in Montreal! I’ve tried so many places & none compare in the slightest. The sushi is ALWAYS fresh & the taste is unreal. I’ve never tried a bad roll of sushi, no matter what I get. The service is always amazing, & the atmosphere is just beautiful & peaceful. Overall, this will always be my favourite sushi in Montreal & I always recommend everyone to try it.

highly recommend the nigiri. we also ordered the salmon roll & a tuna tataki roll. the salmon was a bit on the sweeter side personally but still good. the lychee martini is also good
It was my first time at Hidden Fish & heard so much good reviews about it that I decided to treat my boyfriend for his birthday. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing the food was, it ruined a lot of sushi places for us & the service was impeccable. Wilson, our waiter, knew what he was talking about. He recommended us a saké that pairs well with what we ordered as sushi & let me tell you, he did not disappoint at all. He was well versed & great at explaining what the dish was. I highly recommend having him as your waiter, if ever you decide to go there. The staff was great! The experience overall was amazing.
We had an amazing dining experience at Hidden Fish. Our waiter (Mattew) was informative & very personable. He guided us through the menu & made several excellent suggestions. We would highly recommend Hidden Fish to any sushi lover.

J’adore allez chez hiddenfish. Leur poisson est de qualité superieur & fraicheur en plus d’un vrai chef Japonais. Si vous rechercher la fraîcheur du poisson! C’est la place !! Très bon menu!! Tous est bon! J’y recommande fortement!! Je suis aller 11 personnes la semaine passer & super bon service du serveur qui s’appelle william ( patient , courtois, attentionné, & nous explique bien le menu & tres sympathique! ) j’adore l’equipe du hiddenfish. La nourriture est d’une fraîcheur absolu !! Niveau de qualité incroyable!! Tres bon menu de saké! Je vous y recommande !!! Vous serez au paradis !!
Great experience at this restaurant. Staff is attentive & friendly, Food melts in the mouth & is very tasty. I would definitely come back & enjoy this place again & again. Highly recommended!
Top génial. Je n'avais pas encore essayé la formule du midi. Très bien aussi. Si vous aimez les très très bon sushi je recommande fortement. En ce moment c'est mon restaurant préféré à Montréal.
