Siamo Noi, which means “Simply Us,” is a project of the heart. It’s dancing in your kitchen on a quiet Sunday night, with nothing to worry about but your glass of wine and the wooden spoon caressing your pan, bringing to life the phrase “made with love.”
Siamo Noi is our heart in every plate. With many years in the industry, Chef Marco Bertoldini pays homage to classic Italian cuisine while infusing it with a contemporary twist, creating an experience that is both nostalgic and dreamy.
Specializing in handmade pasta, we have designed our menu with the finest ingredients from Italy and Europe, balanced with local products, to offer a decidedly Montreal experience.
Our passion is reflected in every detail of this project, from the imported Italian tiles and wines to our exceptional service. We honor the simplicity and beauty of Italian culture.
Reviewers describe Siamo Noi as an upscale Italian dining experience with beautiful decor and a lively, sometimes loud atmosphere. The menu is praised for authentic, fresh flavors, especially handmade pastas, seafood such as branzino and octopus, and standout starters like burrata and focaccia, with tiramisu prepared tableside earning frequent cheers. Service is widely regarded as attentive, professional, and warm, often complemented by knowledgeable staff, though a few visits note slower pacing or occasional miscommunications when the restaurant is busy. Prices are described as high, with portions sometimes smaller than expected, leading some guests to feel the value does not always match the price, while others deem the experience worth the premium for the quality and atmosphere. The lounge area and speakeasy entrance add to the sense of occasion, and the overall impression is of a culinary journey to Italy, ideal for special occasions or a vibrant night out, with many guests planning to return to explore more dishes and desserts.
Beau décore, menu diversifié, intéressant, carte breuvage excellente. Par contre tarifs élevés & il y a eu deux erreurs dans ma commande (cuisson viande & oubli item).
Had to leave a quick review after visiting recently but honestly, such a great experience. We came in about a week ago & everything was on point: the food, the drinks, the vibe.
But what really stood out was the service. Our server, Bazin, or I think he may have been the manager - absolutely crushed it. The place was busy, but he handled everything like a pro & made us feel completely taken care of the whole time. Super friendly, down to earth, & just genuinely great at what he does.
It's been a while since we've had service like that, he really made the night that much better for me & my friends.
Visiting family from Toronto, I was a guest of my wonderful cousins at this restaurant. I promise you that my review has nothing to do with the fact that my cousins know the owner, & are regulars there. The appetiser was great, the pasta dish I had (Genovese) was even better than I had experienced in Napoli & Genoa in past years. The real icing on the culinary cake was the Tiramisu assembled in front of you; delicious! Service impeccable, the atmosphere a little busy & loud on a Friday night, but the company made it all the more pleasant. Complimenti! splendido nell'intero.
Although the food was overall acceptable, the experience was honestly quite disappointing-especially for a place that presents itself as fine dining.
The tuna appetizer was excellent & definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The veal lasagna was still frozen at its core. Literally straight from the freezer to the plate, which is inexcusable at this level.
On a previous visit, I asked for half a pound of mixed cold cuts & was told they only serve mortadella… on pizza. That raises a serious question-what kind of Italian restaurant doesn't offer basic items like prosciutto, salami, sopressata, capicollo, pancetta ? & if you already have it in-house for pizza, why not sell it to-go? It just doesn't make sense.
As for the tiramisu, it came with a nice presentation, but the ladyfingers were as dry as the Sahara dessert most of the coffee ended up spilled across the serving tray instead of being absorbed where it should be.
To top it off, the ventilation is a real issue... it's a joke I left the restaurant smelling like I had just worked a shift at La Belle Province-not exactly the fine dining takeaway I was expecting.
Overall, acceptable food at times, but far from a fine dining experience.
As someone who has had the experience to visit multiple high end restaurants in Montreal, I would definitely recommend Siamo Noi not only the food is exceptional but the attention to detail enamoured me from the quality of the food to the romantic light
Perfect for a date night
If I can give a rating of 0 I would.
The worst restaurant I had ever been to.
We reserved for a party at 2 specifically at a TABLE. Once we arrived, the hostess tells us that there is no table available & we would have to sit at the bar… When I had asked what was the wait for OUR table, the hostess (who 1. had bad attitude, & 2. was attached to her phone) told us word-for-word;'well I don't know what time people will be done eating' ... #lmao what a response. We agreed to wait at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender asked if we wanted water (mind you, we were the only ones at the bar), never got our glasses of water. We finally get to our table, we waited 15 minutes, not one waiter or busboy served us water while there's an army of staff all around talking to one another. I mean even that hostess could have poured us water if she was not too busy on her phone. Listen, I've worked in restaurants, & at 9:50pm, there's no more rush.. Everyone around us were finishing up their meals & at dessert.. I'm looking around, practically breaking my neck for someone to notice that I'm looking for someone to at least say hello & pour us water. Finally around 10:15 some man comes, gives us water, not apologetic in any way shape or form. (Mind you, our reservations were at 9:30). Our menus were closed- ready to order. He did not even ask if we wanted drinks or anything. Seats were emptying up, I asked if we can sit a booth that just cleared up, he said he would get back to me. Never did. So at 10:30 my friend & I got up & left. Not one drink, not one waiter greeted us, not one bite of food. Ridiculous for a'higher-end restaurant'. Boycotting this restaurant as well as all the Fiorellino on Laurier since it's the same owner. All of this actually happened 2 months ago, & someone I knew just had a horrible experience as well just this week, so that reminded me to write this beautiful review about this disgusting experience. 0/10. Do better.
Worst service I ever experienced in Montreal. we waited over an hour & a half for our food, when we tried to explain the situation to the staff they were very dismissive. It is only when i got angry that the manager came & tried to be sorry saying he will do something about it which he never did. After all that we order dessert & waited 20minutes until we canceled it because we were done with them being unprofessional & impolite. After settling the bill i went to the manager politely to explain our situation & concern & he said' i said sorry what do you want me to do more' i dont know maybe your job??? Super impolite, unprofessional & would never recommend it. Food is amazing i am sorry for the chefs that the service is not up to the standard

We had an outstanding meal & amazing service from Tanya . We choose the tasting menu & it was beyond spectacular … timing temperature & taste on each dish was impressive . Thomas the chef checked on us a few times describing how the dish was prepared ! I cannot say enough about this experience … will be back & already told friends they need to try it ! Last point the tiramisu was the absolute best I have ever eaten .. rich flavours & freshly whipped cream . Well done simply well done .
Amazing experience! The food is absolutely wow. The fresh homemade pasta is delicious, the pizza is extra tasty, a real treat! The tiramisu is even made right in front of you, which makes the experience even more special. & the alcohol shots are huge, USA style! Honestly, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be coming back!
I had one of the worst service experiences on Friday, February 20. I made a reservation through OpenTable & even called the restaurant because I was having trouble finding the location. The host who answered was extremely rude & hung up on me twice.
When we arrived (only 15 minutes late), I politely mentioned that her tone on the phone was unprofessional. She then refused to seat us, saying the restaurant was full. Meanwhile, we could clearly see multiple empty tables. After pointing this out, she suddenly decided to give us a table.
The food was good - that's the only reason I'm even writing this review. The chefs clearly know what they're doing. Unfortunately, the front-of-house team completely ruined the experience. To make things worse, they canceled my OpenTable reservation so I wouldn't be able to leave a review.
Great kitchen, terrible hospitality. With service like this, it's hard to recommend this place.
Service, atmosphere & food were amazing! I made a last minute reservation for a group of 5 & requested to have a table in a specific area. The hostess was kind & guided us to our seats confirming they had seen my request. Our waitress (Jasmine) was excellent, provided us with information & recommendations. Her service was amazing & i recommend you book a table in her section for your next visit. Excited for my next visit there!
I'm writing this respectfully, but I'd like to share our disappointing experience at Siamo Noi for the Buona Notte evening- truly the worst service I've ever experienced in Montreal.
My fiancé & I arrived to join our group (who know the owners) & were refused entry despite the table having a reservation. The bouncer said'so what?' & only let us in after someone had to come downstairs at Limone to get us. This isn't even the bad part yet.
Inside, the service was extremely disrespectful. A bartender said'hah, nope' when I asked to order a drink, then walked away. She then dropped her phone, which I kindly returned to one of her colleagues - without a thank you.
We ordered 2 drinks from our table & waited a total 2.5 hours, they never arrived. After multiple follow-ups, the waiter was impatient, ignored us, avoided eye contact when he passed by us, & at one point was screaming at us saying he punched in the drinks. Our drinks never arrived - while every other table around us & people around were being served normally. We left without ever receiving anything. I am honestly traumatized by this evening.
