The place is huge. It's gorgeous. The cocktails are amazing!!!! The service was excellent! The edamame was the best I ever had!!! That little spices mixture they put on top was yummy!! The karaage chicken excellent. My miso ramen... the noodle was perfectly cooked, but I don't feel like the broth had enough miso flavor. As for the matcha pancakes they would have been over the top if they werent a little burned on top... Minus does little things.. I would definitely go back though.Voir plus
Ramen goûteux, prix raisonnables, ambiance apaisante.Voir plus
Outstanding ramen & cocktails in Montreal! I'll definitely be returning on my next visit to the city.Voir plus
So we went to Shushu Haru. They are connected to Shushuto Ramen. Shushu Haru is a Vegan Sushi restaurant, with its own vegan kitchen. However, you sit inside & are served by the wait staff of Shushuto Ramen. The vegan sushi was unbelievable. Fresh & tasty. It's definitely worth the trip all the way from the West-Island. The non Vegan Ramen, other family members ate, day that it was really good. Great opportunity to be able to eat Vegan in a non vegan restaurant & not worry about cross contamination. Great Job, we will be coming back. 👍Voir plus
Tried the karaage which was very good. The ramens & matsumen were good. The vegan avocado sushi roll was tasty, while the vegan salmon was dissapointing because was just white rice noodle in the middle.
Nice, modern place. The food was really good. I loved mazemen PORC ABURI CHASHU & IKURA. It is a ramen without billion. It was delicious! I also tried their Japanese pancakes with matcha cream & it was nice but not super. The downside was that the coffee that was included with the brunch (aka pancakes) was never offered to me. The service was a bit rookie. But otherwise, it is a great place.Voir plus
"Absolutely phenomenal experience at this hidden gem of a restaurant! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting & cozy. The fusion of ramen & tapas is pure genius - each dish beautifully crafted with flavors that dance on your palate. The ramen was perfectly cooked with rich broth that left us craving for more, & the tapas were bursting with unique combinations that delighted our taste buds. The staff were incredibly friendly & attentive, adding to the overall delightful atmosphere. Without a doubt, this place deserves every bit of its five stars, & we can't wait to return for another unforgettable dining adventure!"Voir plus
I made reservations online- it was very easy & fast. I was worried about parking, but we found the place few minutes walk from the restaurant. According to internet restaurant opens at 5.pm, we were 5:01, but there were already 10-12 people. We got a good place next to the window 🙂 I had a spicy ramen with a duck breast, there were 4 level of hotness, I took the level#1, it was a mistake- I like hot & spicy foods. So for me it was 4 from 5. My husband had udon also with duck brest- fantastic, very delicious. For drink I had a cocktail with strawberry, passion fruit & lychee & Bayless ice-cream for dessert- unusual & tasty. Sum it up: very good place to start your Valentines evening... or any evening.
Not very crowded on a early saturday night. The atmosphere was spot on, cosy & warm with music not too loud but enough to give it a nice vibe. The service was also excellent. Especially appreciated the consistent water refills. I had the roasted duck shoyu ramen. This is the first time ever that I drink all the ramen broth. It's so flavorful without being too salty. Overall a 5 star dining experience!Voir plus
I visited Shushuto lastweek, & the food was awesome, best ramen & cocktail in townVoir plus
We were there for a birthday dinner. The cocktails were great. We had three kinds of appetizers. The taste & presentation were fantastic. As for the main course, we went for the Ramen which was perfect. We didn't try the fusion dishes, so we're definitely going back. As for the service, Santiago was a great server, he was courteous & patient & provided all the explanations we needed. Great experience 👌
We came as a familly, there was no juice for kids, which we understood but the yakitori were perfect for our daugther. Both adults got the pork miso ramen & we were quite desapointed by the size of the bowl & the quality of the noddle, that looked & taste like old frozen noodle... probably not you best choice !
The entrées we're exceptional scallops
But the ramen broth lacked flavou
Dined in twice in a month. First time was great. Service was friendly. We ordered the Udon curry & Mushroom carbonara udon as well as the Chicken karaage. Karaage was crisp & not too oily. Both udon dishes were tasty & portions were generous. Drinks were creative & balanced. Would recommend all of the above. Second time around, food & service were both disappointing. Waitress was clearly unhappy to be working & it reflected in the service. Food was subpar. We ordered the Pork ramen which lacked flavor; the broth was not rich & the pork was fibrous. We also ordered the Dry-aged steak curry. The curry flavor was tasty but we had a difficult time understanding the cook on the beef. It was chewy & lacked flavor. We would not recommend wither dishes. If this was my first visit, I would not have came back. Overall, it seems to be a hit-or-miss spot depending on what you order & staffing. Expect $20-30 per person without drinks.Voir plus
I live in South Texas, USA, & was brought to Shushuto by wonderful friends. I can't comment on location because I have no idea where we were. The ambience was nice casual, modern, asian. Everything I saw was clean & run very well. We walked in on a snowy Sunday night & there was no wait, & plenty of tables.. On a post, there were convenient hooks to hang your overcoat. My friends all speak French, Spanish & English. I speak English, Spanish & Portuguese & could understand some of the French menu, but not quite enough to make sense. The server was very gracious & kind to bring me an English menu. We started off with an appetizers of mixed skewers: shrimp, chicken, sweet potato & others. It was all very good. I ordered the pork tonkotsu ramen soup. This soup is quite filling, flavorful, & delicious! I highly recommend it! It has some spice, but brought me more to add at the table if I wanted it. The server kept our glasses full & ensured we had a wonderful meal. She is a true gem. I wish I could remember her name to recognize her in this review. The music was pleasant, but a tad loud. Thankfully it was not so loud as to make conversation difficult. Perhaps I'm just getting old. I really enjoyed Shushutos, &, if you enjoy Asian fusion, think you will too. I would certainly return if ever in Montreál again!Voir plus
Truly enjoyed our experience at Shushuto Bar à Ramen + Tapas. Service? Kind & attentive! The drinks? Works of art & Tasty af! The food? Deeeelicious! We were three & shared 3 tapas (edamame, karaage chicken, salad). That salad, was out of this world, booming with flavours! We each took a main meal, & we left very happy & full! Thank you for a great experience!Voir plus
The service was really good along with the drinks & Tapas. I highly recommend trying the duck or charsiu baos. Although I was very disappointed in the dry aged beef ramen. it was tough, rubbery & tasteless- not worth the try. Overall it was a nice experience but was put off with the ramen.
The entree "salmon tataki" & mocktails were excellent. However, the main dishes weren't amazing. I struggle to see where the value was. The "dry aged beef" was tough & dry. The black tiger prawns with Udon has 4 pieces. The other ingredients were very basic. Finally, the min 18% tip & "custom amount" that doesn't work is really unappreciated & unpleasant. Maybe I'd come try the brunch, but there's no point paying $24 Ramen, when there are better options at $15.Voir plus
Pretty good 👍 Tempura crispy Chasu in the ramen was one of the best ever tasted Creamy Udon was really nice, lots of umami flavors Tataki vinaigrette is really nice & goes well with the radishVoir plus
Loved it! Very delicious ramen & perfect service.
I discounted coming here for some reason based on the signage outside. On a cold night it was close by & decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The food is very high quality. I have been to Japan numerous times & it definitely hits the mark. The atmosphere is nice but with small crowds, can feel very sparse. The glassware & utensils are all high end (very appreciated). They did not spare expense building this place. My only hang up is that they don't actually have any mild ramen. The'mild' has a lot of spice. Unlike the authenticity of Japan. They have 4 levels & don't need to make this a spice competition. If they tone that down, it will attract a larger client base. The service was great. Very attentive & friendly but we had to ask for our water glasses to be filled each time. I'd give this place a solid 4/5 & they could easily hit 5/5 with some minor tweaks. I will be back either way.Voir plus
Shushuto Bar à Ramen + Tapas: Delightful Delivery Shushuto Bar gets a well-deserved five stars for their delivery. The food, particularly the scallops curry, was exceptional - fresh, well-seasoned, & packed with umami. Excellent packaging & service too. Highly recommended for a top-notch dining experience at home.
