This Saturday we came for brunch with empty stomachs, thirsty throats & high hopes… SHUSHUTO is fast moving to the top of our family's favourite list! Absolutely loved the restaurant. It's beautiful, the drinks are exceptional & the food is unique & delicious. Their version of carbonara with the katsu steak was our favourite dish.
The service needs improvement. We were ignored at first & had to ask for someone to come see us so we could place an order. Also despite making a reservation ahead of time we were seated in the most undesirable area of the restaurant next to a high traffic section where workers were constantly getting cutlery. The restaurant wasn't busy at that time so we thought it was an interesting choice.

Drinks were perfect & so tasteful. I took a mocktail Sayonara Summer & my partner took the Tokyo sour. We do recommend both! Best karaage I tasted in mtl so far, so tender & juicy just miam. We also took the beef tapas which was as good as the karaage. It was a first trying the seasonal beef soup & I did enjoy it but next time I'll give a try to the cheese ramen. Will come back for sure. I ordered the TSUKEMEN AU MISO RICHE with the understanding that I would get to have a hot soup to drink. Instead, I was presented with a deconstructed ramen where I had to dip the noodles & steak into the broth. The broth was wayyy too salty to drink on its own, which I found to be disappointing. I would have loved to have been able to drink the soup on a cold winter evening. Apart from that, the service, sushi & drinks were divine. I live close to this place but noticed it was a chain, so never was overly interested. I dropped it for the 16$ lunch Ramen special & got the pork. The creamy flavour is there just watered down with chicken broth. Underwhelming. The pork itself was dry & the Ramen egg barely tasted of soy. Disappointing. Premium cocktails are to die for & skillfully crafted with high quality spirits & garnished nicely. desserts are not a big hit & not at the same level of the food & drinks. Service was slow to start but got better. Waitress seemed very junior. I recommend asking the clientele if they want drinks to start while deciding what to eat. Food was hit or miss. Good vegan sushi but cut a bit too large. Ramen was just okay - wrong noodles used. Pork was tender but better to season the brine. Boa buns were good. It took 45 minutes to get drinks & our appetizers. The drinks were great however, the appetizers were meh.The karage chicken was bland & the gyoza dumpling were nothing special. However, the mao buns were great! Our main dishes were ramen & the chicken was dry & bland. I do not think I will be coming back. First off, the AC is controlled by the building owners, & it's not cold just cool. So dress casually to make the whole experience more cooling 😊. Order the summer special X Singapore menu. The Singapore sling! At last I found you...... Taste wise not bad.... The alcohol is strong in this shop! We all like! The Slaw salad, i think it's a fusion off the lohei that singaporeans eat during chinese new year. If you are not used to raw veg, this can be mehhhh. But i find it refreshing, oh! Remember to mixed it up before you eat. Toss toss toss! The second course, i choose with broth & pork. The charsiew is like the Japanese ramen charsiew. Not the singaporean charsiew, so manage the expectations & think Japanese ramen style. Added the soft shell crab. It's nice! But i can barely finish half the ramen. The portion looks small but it's huge! You can ask for hot sauce, but it's still super mild spicy. Had the mango pudding..... Taste, close. Texture, too firm. There's coconut cream on top, maybe if they use coconut milk would be better. So..... Verdict, price point, super duper worth it! Food, i would say i will come back & try the non Singapore menu. Cool spot that gives good reason to go back. Realistically this place should be a 4 star overall but a very good value for your money especially if your drinking. The cocktails we're the main attraction considering for the money we felt it was very reasonable. The food here is amazing. I had the kastu curry with chicken & tried some of the dry age steak but personally I loved the chicken over the steak but this might just because I don't really care for steaks in general. Even with my preference I still think both were delicious. The drinks were amazing I had a bit of everything I forgot exactly what I ordered however I doubt you'll have issues getting something delicious. The atmosphere was amazing I came here for a birthday & I would recommend anyone to come here for birthday, dates or just as a place to whine down as it just super relaxing. Went here with three other friends. It averages to about 35$ per person for a dish+drink. I was disappointed in my japanese pancake. Instead of it being fluffy,airy,jiggly as its supposed to be, mine was DENSE (see picture) & felt undercooked. It tasted heavily of cooked eggs & not anything else. Couldn't taste the matcha flavour even with the sauce. The matcha sauce was hot & "cooked" the fruits on top of the pancakes,which I didn't like. The service was very professional & nice. Nous sommes allé souper à ce restaurant un jeudi soir & le service était inexistant, & une fois nos commandes passées, le temps d'attente était extrêmement long. La Nourriture n'était pas spectaculaire, pas très goûteux. Nous avons reçu les mauvais drinks, nous avons demandé si les pâtes carbonara pouvaient être commandées sans bacon, on nous répond oui absolument! Le serveur nous emmène le plat en nous spécifiant: sans bacon, le plat avait des morceaux de bacon... Bref, peut-être un coup de malchance. Je ne recommande pas.Voir plus

I made reservations online- it was very easy & fast. I was worried about parking, but we found the place few minutes walk from the restaurant. According to internet restaurant opens at 5.pm, we were 5:01, but there were already 10-12 people. We got a good place next to the window 🙂 I had a spicy ramen with a duck breast, there were 4 level of hotness, I took the level#1, it was a mistake- I like hot & spicy foods. So for me it was 4 from 5. My husband had udon also with duck brest- fantastic, very delicious. For drink I had a cocktail with strawberry, passion fruit & lychee & Bayless ice-cream for dessert- unusual & tasty.
