We had the Japanese-Style Grilled Duck Breast Yaki Udon, & it was absolutely delicious, rich, savory, & perfectly balanced. The duck was tender & flavorful, & the whole dish came together beautifully.
The Sakura cocktails were a lovely pairing refreshing, floral, & visually stunning.
The ambiance was cozy yet modern, with a relaxed atmosphere that made the experience feel special. The service was warm, attentive, & made us feel very welcomed.
Highly recommend this spot for a nice night out or a cozy ramen date.Voir plus

My husband & I celebrated our 39th Anniversary at Shushuto Bar & Ramen Plus Tapas.
Our Server Ben was exceptionally accommodating.The Food is Delicious & generous portion. We ordered the salad mango with grilled chicken,Japanese Steak Katsu for Appetizers ,followed with Sashimi Platter Salmon & avocado,& Japanese pancake Rose-Berries dessert & Affogato Baileys & cappuccino to end our dining experience.
It's the Best Japanese Restaurant we ever trie

5/5 stars! Shushuto Ramen is an absolute gem! I'm still shocked they don't have a location in Toronto - it's a travesty! The food, however, speaks for itself. The Carbonara cheese udon with Fried sirloin Steak is a game-changer, & the Miso Sesame Udon with duck breast is pure perfection. But the real pièce de résistance is saving the best for last: the Green Matcha Soufflé Pancake. It's the ideal ending to an already incredible meal.Voir plus

Let me start off by saying our server Ben, was fantastic. He really made the experience by knowing the menu & being attentive.
The drinks here are delicious & worth the price.
The food on the other hand, left room for improvement. I got the miso ramen with chicken & my partner got Oyster Bao & Inari sushi. The chicken in my ramen was cooked & seasoned perfectly, but the rest of the ramen dish could have used more flavour. My partner said her Bao bun was a bit dry & the oyster mushroom was a bit over powering in flavor.
Will we come back, maybe, but if we did it would probably only be for a drink & the wonderful service of Ben.Voir plus

Food was awesome but the service was very slow. They took like 15min just to bring a bottle of wine. They also mixed all the bills & it took some time to fix them all. I'd definitely come back (the duck ramen is just awesome), but service should be improved.Voir plus

They do have a nice vegan menu ; mushroom bao was pretty good ! The vegan ramen was a bit boring. No protein, it came with bamboo roots, mushrooms & aragula. The broth was good & spicy tho. It is a nice place & room !Voir plus

I think this restaurant is slightly overhyped on social media. We ordered the ramen & miso tsukemen (dipping noodles) & we found it really salty. The sushi & crudo was also underwhelming & didn't have much flavour.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. The ramen was some of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere & service was impeccable. We also asked to be seated at the bar after our meal in which they cleared a spot with no hesitation. The servers were so warm & helpful providing an amazing experience & offering recommendations while visiting Montreal. We will be adding this to our list of must visits while in the city.Voir plus

We had a great evening at Shushuto with friends. The food was amazing (we started with fried chicken, edamame & scallops, had a bunch of delicious cocktails & ramen). Don't know what was better the food or the service (thanks Charles!). Definitely a place you want to hit up for date night or a night out with friends. Drinks were perfect & so tasteful. I took a mocktail Sayonara Summer & my partner took the Tokyo sour. We do recommend both! Best karaage I tasted in mtl so far, so tender & juicy just miam. We also took the beef tapas which was as good as the karaage. It was a first trying the seasonal beef soup & I did enjoy it but next time I'll give a try to the cheese ramen. Will come back for sure. I ordered the TSUKEMEN AU MISO RICHE with the understanding that I would get to have a hot soup to drink. Instead, I was presented with a deconstructed ramen where I had to dip the noodles & steak into the broth. The broth was wayyy too salty to drink on its own, which I found to be disappointing. I would have loved to have been able to drink the soup on a cold winter evening. Apart from that, the service, sushi & drinks were divine. J'ai enfin pu tester ce restaurant qui me faisait tant envie par son décor, ses plats & ses cocktails. Le personnel a ete très poli & avenant mais a manqué de coordination & de se souvenirs de nos demandes. Le ramen était bon mais il n'est pas sorti de lot. J'y ai été avec mon conjoint dernièrement, nous sommes arrivé à l'ouverture, bon service à ce moment, serveuse courtoise & souriante. Par la suite, lors du repas également le service ce passait bien les plats était très bon (Sushi, ramen & gyoza), le resto a commencé a se remplir & l'ambiance était bien. Une fois notre repas terminé par contre, on dirait que nous sommes tombé dans l'oubli. Personne ne venait nous voir si vous voulions une autre consommation, un dessert, ni même l'addition. Il était difficile d'établir un contact visuel avec les autres serveur sur place occupé avec d'autre clients. Nous avons du aller voir notre serveuse directement pour lui dire que nous aimerions avoir l'addition. Elle s'est tout de même excuser poliment de nous avoir fait attendre. Sommes tout l'endroit est bien & la nourriture très bonne, mais j'ai enlever une petite étoile vu qu'il y a quand même eu quasiment 30 minutes entre le moment ou on a desservi notre table & que nous sommes aller chercher l'addition.Voir plus

I have tried their ramen many times & I frequently order the duck breast. A favourite! I recently tried the a avocado sushi as an appetizer which is like a melting in your mouth treat to start with. The fried checking is super tender inside & crispy but not fat...didn't really want to share that one! Next time I want to try the hot pot. It's a neighborhood place I truly love to revisit. My only concern is the loud music but it seems to be the thing in all resto these days. It's unfortunate as I feel it competes with my senses. Service is friendly!Voir plus
