Le ramen Shoyu canard était délectable! Drinks très bons. Le service était impécable. Le seul hic est que nous nous attendions à une ambiance feutrée rougeâtre comme sur les photos de leur site, mais ce n'était vraiment pas le cas!Voir plus

I made reservations online- it was very easy & fast. I was worried about parking, but we found the place few minutes walk from the restaurant. According to internet restaurant opens at 5.pm, we were 5:01, but there were already 10-12 people. We got a good place next to the window 🙂 I had a spicy ramen with a duck breast, there were 4 level of hotness, I took the level#1, it was a mistake- I like hot & spicy foods. So for me it was 4 from 5. My husband had udon also with duck brest- fantastic, very delicious. For drink I had a cocktail with strawberry, passion fruit & lychee & Bayless ice-cream for dessert- unusual & tasty. Not very crowded on a early saturday night. The atmosphere was spot on, cosy & warm with music not too loud but enough to give it a nice vibe. The service was also excellent. Especially appreciated the consistent water refills. I had the roasted duck shoyu ramen. This is the first time ever that I drink all the ramen broth. It's so flavorful without being too salty. The place is so nicely decorated & feels fancy. We went for brunch & it was fairly busy but still the staff still checked on us every once in a while which was nice. The food was ok, but not consistent. Two of us ordered the same matcha pancake but recieved two different dishes. One was thick clumpy sauce & the other was so runny & didn't have much of matcha taste. However the amount of food was really good that we had to take the leftovers. The drinks were ok too but a bit over priced for the amount as most of it was ice.Voir plus

Dined in twice in a month. First time was great. Service was friendly. We ordered the Udon curry & Mushroom carbonara udon as well as the Chicken karaage. Karaage was crisp & not too oily. Both udon dishes were tasty & portions were generous. Drinks were creative & balanced. Would recommend all of the above. Second time around, food & service were both disappointing. Waitress was clearly unhappy to be working & it reflected in the service. Food was subpar. We ordered the Pork ramen which lacked flavor; the broth was not rich & the pork was fibrous. We also ordered the Dry-aged steak curry. The curry flavor was tasty but we had a difficult time understanding the cook on the beef. It was chewy & lacked flavor. We would not recommend wither dishes. If this was my first visit, I would not have came back. Overall, it seems to be a hit-or-miss spot depending on what you order & staffing. Truly enjoyed our experience at Shushuto Bar à Ramen + Tapas. Service? Kind & attentive! The drinks? Works of art & Tasty af! The food? Deeeelicious! We were three & shared 3 tapas (edamame, karaage chicken, salad). That salad, was out of this world, booming with flavours! We each took a main meal, & we left very happy & full! The service was really good along with the drinks & Tapas. I highly recommend trying the duck or charsiu baos. Although I was very disappointed in the dry aged beef ramen. it was tough, rubbery & tasteless- not worth the try. Overall it was a nice experience but was put off with the ramen.Voir plus

I had high expectations, the food is a little overpriced in my opinion. The taste was not the best. The Scallops with fish roe were not the freshest (fishy oudor, mostly overcooked, udon noodles were below average. Had better Japanese food in many other restaurants in montreal. The drinks were good. The service was very slow. There was a 20 min gap between the time we got our first dish & our last dish. They also messed up my friends' orders.The place & atmosphere were nice, though. The food does not match the decor.Voir plus

I wanted to share my recent experience at your restaurant, as I believe honest feedback is valuable for continuous improvement. My friends & I were excited to visit Shushuto after seeing enticing posts on social media. Despite a minor delay in setting up our table, we were seated promptly, & our order was taken at 1:15 pm for our party of six. While the initial hiccup with the drink order was gracefully corrected by a courteous waiter, our overall experience took an unexpected turn. The dishes were served with a considerable delay, with the first two plates arriving at 2:25 pm, accompanied by a mix-up in the order. Though the situation was resolved after double-checking the tablet, it did contribute to a longer wait time. Someone in our party ordered the scallops, & despite the dish looking appealing, there was a noticeable fishy smell. While we speculated it might be the Tobiko, the uncertainty was a bit unsettling. Furthermore, we noticed some inconsistencies in the temperature of the dishes, & the miso soup had a thick consistency with a noticeable fatty smell. Additionally, the noodles in the udon were overcooked. Our overall experience was also impacted by a considerable delay in receiving our dishes, especially when compared to a party of two that arrived later & received their meals & drinks within 25-30 minutes. At the end of our meal, another waitress, who seemed to have sensed our dissatisfaction, inquired about our experience. We shared our concerns with her, & while she made an effort to address the issues, the resolution only extended to two members of our party. She mentioned coming back to assist the remaining four, but unfortunately, she, like her colleague, seemed to have disappeared into the background. I share this feedback with the intention of providing constructive input, as I genuinely believe your restaurant has the potential for excellence. However, regrettably, my friends & I have decided not to return based on our recent experience. via LibroFood was great but I would say the service could be improved. The waiter took our first order & then never returned to our table. Runners just dropped off our food. We never got the chance to order another round of drinks or anyone checking on us if our meal was ok. The food was delicious & we would have ordered more but we did not get good service.

L'accueil est chaleureux par la propriétaire. L'ambiance est très conviviale. Le décor est très beau & moderne. Au début de la soirée, vers 6:30pm, la musique était agréable & le volume était correct. Au fur & à mesure que la soirée avançait, la musique était trop forte ce qui rendait l'ambiance bruyante. Nous sommes assis à une table ronde, juste à coté du bar. La musique était tellement forte que nous avons dû crier au lieu de parler.
La nourriture est à notre goût. Les drinks sont excellents.
Cependant, nous avons commandé 2 espressos & 2 morceaux de gâteau (mousse à la mangue & mousse Yuzu). Les espressos sont arrivés plus tard, à moitié froid. Quant aux 2 gâteaux, nous avons attendu au moins 20 min. Pourtant la serveuse se promenait & nous est revenue nous voir 2 fois pour dire que la personne qui s'occupait des desserts est très occupée.
Juste couper 2 morceaux de gâteau prenait beaucoup de temps Est-la serveuse a pu le faire par elle-même au lieu de revenir pour nous voir à deux reprises, pour nous demander de patienter?
La musique forte & cette partie de dessert gâchait l'humeur & l'ambiance de fête de nos 2 amis.
Parlant de pourboire, leur machine présentait des pourboires avec les choix dont le minimum de 18%. C'est sûr qu'il y a l'option autre. La serveuse n'était pas contente de voir que nous avons choisi l'option « Autre ».
Nous aurions pu donner ces commentaires à la propriétaire mais nous avons décidé de plus revenir.

via LibroThe food was bland, we didn't find these typical flavours we were looking for. The bao buns were dry, the ramen not as tasty as we'd hoped during ramen fest. Service was slow - we waited 45 min for our bill as our waiter was talking. The drinks were delicious, the prices were fair, the deco is beautiful but honestly... Afterlife techno songs during dinner time Not going again & won't recommend.
via LibroLes drinks étaient excellents, nous avons pris des tapas, certains comme les bao étaient meilleurs que le reste. La musique était bien. Le vrai problème était l'éclairage. On a un décor & une musique pour une ambiance bar, mais le restaurant était tellement éclairé qu'il n'y avait pas d'ambiance du tout. À moins que ce point change, nous n'y retournerons pas.

Great food & cocktails, but:
- Seating: we were offered a table next to a loud group when the place was mostly empty, we asked to move, waitress reluctantly accepted. She then came back 5min later asking us to move for another group, offering us a table again next to the group, we had to bargain for a quieter place when again, place was mostly empty
- Time: we ordered Edamame, which should arrive within 5 min as it's readily available. We waited 15min for the Edamame & drinks to arrive, time during which the waitress came to ask what our main food order would be. We were like, how about we get what we ordered first?
- Ambiance: great at the beginning, but then around 9pm, music volume was increased dramatically & it because almost a club playing EDM. Kept receiving notification on my watch about loud environment, we decide to leave early

The appetizers were amazing (vegetable tempura). the pork tonkotsu ramen was amazing however I had to keep removing at least 4 rope/cord/thread that i guess was from the pork, inside my mouth as i chewed unpleasantly. I could have asked for the food to be replaced at the first time i chewed it but didnt want to ruin my night out with my girls but i did give the comment to the waitress about it. The affogato baileys was good just prolly not for me as i found it too sweet for my taste. but hey, the hendrick's gin & tonic drink was refreshing! the service wasnt too bad too. & location wise, very nice. also, very cozy restaurant. =)Voir plus

via LibroAmazing food, great drinks & fantastic service. The only thing I would change is the choice of music, we were there on Tuesday evening & disco/techno was not really appropriate :) but that's my personal preference!
