Oysters were fresh & tasty. Burger was good. One of the steaks was not as ordered they had to take it back to the kitchen & it had a lot of fat however the taste is good. The mashed potatoes were very good. The Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent choice. Tables should be better organized for lager groups. They had a small square table & a round table which was not comfortable.
The food is fantastic. I had the filet mignon & Parmesan fries. It was delicious!!! The drinks were amazing. The owner Des knows what he's doing! Great hospitality, love it can't wait to go back!

Amazing food & hospitality. Great ambiance, good quality ingredients, & good energy from the hosts. If you're visiting Montréal, you have to pass by this place.
Malheureusement, ma récente expérience au restaurant Sel Noir a été décevante. La nourriture était correcte, sans plus, mais le service était extrêmement lent & n'était pas au point. Il est important de noter que ce n'était en aucun cas la faute du serveur, qui a fait de son mieux malgré l'inconvénient. Il était tout seul à gérer toute la salle : il faisait le passe, le busboy, le serveur & même le barman. Le serveur était très bon & il a même su nous offrir un dessert pour compenser. Dans un établissement aussi cher, on s'attend à un service de haute qualité. Il est inacceptable de la part du gérant ou du propriétaire de ne pas trouver une solution à ce problème évident. Malheureusement, je ne retournerai plus au Sel Noir.

The service was a little slow, but we had a great time & had drinks while we waited. The spicy margarita was a mouth full of flavor, highly recommend. Also this was probably the best lobster we've ever had, & the waygu strip was phenomenal.
My experience at Sel Noir was beyond expectations! Food was excellent & flavourful! The staff is attentive & what can I say about the drinks? Absolutely divine!! I can't recommend it enough! An amazing steakhouse in Montreal! Cosy & nice atmosphere!! 5 ⭐️
Un menu & repas a couper le souffle simplement! & la nouvelle terrasse maintenant ouverte... l'endroit parfait pour le meilleur steak a montreal. Seul bemol, vous allez vouloir revenir plus d'une fois ahahah
Had an amazing time at the bar . Staff was super nice I had the octopus & it was amazing , the rib eye was also very well cooked & seasoned ! Would recommend
Food was ok but not special. Filet mignon & carrots were good. Service was bad, slow & non attentive dessert never came... super long delays...... server was more busy doing shots at diffrent tables ... staff should be more focused... needs a bit of refining & training overall.
