10/10 evening that tastes like dinner with Nonna. Our waiter James made our night so incredibly special - I can't recommend this place enough; I'll be at Cortile every time I'm in town from now on.
Nous avons été manger hier soir au Il Cortile & nous avons passé une très belle soirée. Les serveurs étaient gentils, chaleureux & attentionnés. Un merci particulier à James pour son excellent service.
La nourriture était délicieuse du début à la fin, & surtout le tiramisu qui était excellent. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

I recommend making a reservation if you're planning to go, as it's very busy & you might not find a table. Philip who took care of me provided very kind & excellent service. I ordered the fish of the day, which was served with a starter & pasta on the side. Everything was absolutely delicious.
This place is amazing, celebrated my friend's birthday last night & we really enjoyed it so much. The service was probably what made our night, our server James really was the sweetest & most attentive! Great food & drinks too, & super cute for pictures. Will definitely go back!
One of the best spots in downtown Montreal! The food was delicious & reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming & kind. We visited a couple weeks ago to celebrate a friend's graduation & this place did not disappoint. We loved the terrace & the ambient lighting. When the staff found out my friend was graduating, they brought out a free drink! Our server, James, was the best. Highly recommend!

Wow. What an amazing night.
The food was absolutely delicious. The gnocchi are to die for, I crave it all the time. James was incredibly attentive an went the extra mile to make me & my friends have the most incredible night. Thank you so much for such a great evening!
Great service, always present to serve wine. Beautiful little terrasse, far from the city noises. Had a great date with my girl, even had limoncello shots on the house! The garlic spaghetinni wasn't quite my type, but the shrimp fettucinnis were delicious!
I had my wedding last year in that place. We couldn't ask for a better day. The food was amazing & the terrasse is just so beautiful. The owner was really kind & made the planning easy for us. Would recommend that place to anyone & I'll be heading to Il Cortile for our yearly anniversaries.

I had high expectations going to this restaurant but alas, left disappointed.
Positives: Nice courtyard, excellent service
Negatives: The only things Italian were the meal names & the music in the background. Weak welcome but very good service throughout.
Negatives: Very underwhelming food. Penne tasted store bought & the pesto on the tomatoes were flavourless. & the dessert menu? Key Lime pie? Blueberry cheesecake? Not exactly Italian staples!!
Given the very expensive meal, I wish I could have had a delicious meal & authentic experience. Hopefully the restaurant takes note & improves things.
Nous avons attendu constamment toute la soirée. Le serveur était peu présent, expéditif & ne souriait pas. La personne pour le pain & l'eau ne comprenait pas le français. Même pour payer, nous avons dû attendre le retour du serveur qui
nous a laissé avec sa machine de paiement qui ne fonctionnait pas.Très décevant côté service, malgré la qualité des plats.
