Lots of delicious dishes! My favourites were the fried chicken, the pork belly bao buns & the pork ribs!
Satay Bros is a must when in Montreal! While you wait for your table, they have a bar next door complete with ample seating & a ping pong table for your entertainment. Our wait felt super short, & we didn't even finish our drinks. All of the food is delish, & we loved the bao buns, fried chicken & mee goreng.
Always a delight, & packed even on a Monday! Great drinks, service, food & vibes! My favourites are the pork bao buns, the chicken skewers & either the papaya salad or the spicy steak salad!!!
Always a great time to be had at Satay Brothers. Food & service are excellent! Everything is yummy. Papaya salad, spicy beef salad, ribs & fried chicken are insane. Only complaint is that it's a little loud.
Had a fantastic visit here, even if we sat at the very back table. The vibe is awesome, the service is friendly & the food is humbly delicious! Each dish packed a lot of flavour & the chicken satay we had was awesome - so juicy & that peanut sauce was bomb!
This place is always packed, even on a Tuesday night, but worth it! They don't take reservations in advance, unless it's for a group of 6 or more. The food is really good - we ordered papaya salad, karaage steam baos, chowmein, jasmine tea, chicken & shrimp skewers. Service was prompt. For dessert we had the mixed kueh platter (not too sweet but delicious). Everything was great. The atmosphere is lovely, but the restaurant felt pretty warm (we came on a summer evening in the middle of a heat wave though). I'd highly recommend this place - if you can get in.
May 2024: Pisco sour was great, Char Kuay Teow noodles had plenty of sausage but not much seafood, was sweet. Papaya salad was nice & crunchy. March 2024: Gorgeous decor, inviting atmosphere, friendly efficient staff. My Pandan cocktail was delicious, the tamarind one just tasted like sugar. Had the group menu. Beef cubes, pork Bao buns, ribs, chicken skewers, fried rice were delicious. Mixed noodles & vegetables (rapini?) were okay. Fried chicken was pretty disappointing. Plenty of food overall though, very full by the end.
Delicious food! I recommend the bao & fried chicken. Good service too but very busy on weekends so be prepared to wait or make a reservation. Fun, loud party vibe.
The food here is simply incredible. Cooked to perfection, heavenly tasty, perfectly greasy. Also the vibes are immaculate, the decor is so nicely curated, & the service is so friendly & just- I love this place. The papaya salad with pork was sooo tasty & refreshing, the pork buns were wow, the satay chicken was one of the best I've ever had. They do not take reservations, be aware that you may have to wait a good hour & a half on a weekend at peak time, but they have a bar where you can wait if you want.
We need more places like this in Montreal. The music, the people, the food transported you for the night. Only ick was the wait for our table, but they made up for it with everything else. Make sure to order the papaya salad & fried chicken.
I'm asian so I expect a lot from Asian food in terms of flavor. atmosphere wise it is a really hopping place to hang out. BUT for Southeast Asian food-- the flavors are only salty but not very nuanced & the portions are tiny. my friend got a chicken leg as a starter & for $5 they gave something that looked like one measly chicken wing. I got laksa & the soup was coconutey & fine. the shrimp was the best part-- lightly cooked great texture. but not enough noodles. three slurps & I am done the bowl. & way too many bean sprouts. papaya salad was the tastiest at the table. the vegetarian options don't even bother. gado gado had no flavor. tofu Bao is also flavorless. too expensive for what it was.
Satay Brothers is a unique restaurant with soul & passion, providing an amazing menu with unique flavours through their wonderful service. This is the first restaurant in North America that I've seen have regulars - people from the neighborhood that come to this place for fine food & comfort. The Singaporean spired menu packs a delicious medley of flavours with ingredients not seen in North American cuisine. Prices are a bargain for what you're getting - freshly made pork baos & chicken skewers & whatever else they have on the menu - everything I tasted was delicious. The restaurant is clean, the music is great, the staff are wonderful & friendly, it's a true neighbourhood gem & a great place to eat or have a drink
The food was delicious. The dense & spicy chicken soup is perfect for a cold winter day. The ribs was well marinated. The sandwich looked like a normal sandwich but was surprisingly tasty! The only issue was that we were sat in a very ill lit corner of the restaurant. It was very difficult to see the menu or even the food. The picture were taken using nightmode, it was a very very dim corner. They certainly need more lights there.
A friend of mine who is a chef in Toronto recommended me to this place, & it did not disappoint. Food tasted amazing. The chicken skewers were so flavourful & tender, that peanut sauce was killer! Service & ambiance were phenomenal, & I truly enjoyed my experience here. A definite go-to in Montreal.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend the fried chicken, laksa, & rendang. The mee goreng was just ok - not much meat & a little too salty. Skewers were a bit overpriced & underwhelming.
Our last night in Montreal & we were blown away by such a cool place with 100% delicious foods! Such a treat - we were sad to have found them at a late stage & wish we could take them back to England with us!
We had the chicken satay, green papaya & pork & chicken laksa & chefs fried rice - so, so good!
The staff were also so lovely & friendly!
We arrived for supper at around 6 & they were very busy.
Some of the best service in the city. Frank is one of the best waiters I’ve had at a resto in a long time. Food was great, don’t skip on the fried chicken steam buns or the papaya salad. We did a group menu, the quality & amount of food you get for 50$ a person is very worth it. Drinks were also great, moscow mule & spicy marg both 10/10. The music is good, the crowd is cool, the service was impeccable. We will be back for sure!
