The best baos I've had!! Service is fast & the food is so good. I had the soup with bok Choi & my friends the one with coconut milk. We also had baos & fried chicken. Everything 10/10
I will definitively go back for baos

I have an incredible experience! The staff were nice & welcoming & even went out of their way to explain certain menu items, the overall decor is inviting & full of colour, & the food (the reason why we were there) was the star of the show: the fried chicken & pulled pork sandwiches were out of the world, & the fried rice du jour was oh so delicious! Definitely a must do again in my next visit to Montréal!

11/10 experience. Hands down the best meal I've had in a while. Everything was so flavourful & the service was excellent. MUST HAVE the papaya salad, pork belly bao buns, & coconut mango black rice dessert. The chicken skewers & shrimp fried rice were great as well.

too much fried food while Singaporean food offers more varieties than fried

I got recommended by a friend I made on the train to Montreal. Wow! The food was amazing! We ordered the fried curry rice, beef/chicken satay skewers, mussel curry, & fried chicken.

The fried curry rice with the spicy sauce & mild salt. It's great & savory because I love to eat spicy food. I do not recommend to put a lot of sauce in the fried rice if you cannot handle spicy, but you should try out a bit because it's more flavourable with a bit of spicy & sour.

The skewers were delicious! The beef (juicy) & the chicken were marinated well & not too dry, not too salty & balance taste with the peanut & creamy sauce.

For the fried chicken, it has balance of sweet & salty. Its sweetness isn't thick & you can still feel a bit of crispness in the skin.

The best dish that we had is the mussels curry! We got recommended by a server & decided to try out. The first bite combined the rice & the curry soup, it's delightful & aromatic. The soup wasn't too creamy & salty. You can see there's a bit of oily in the soup. Also, there are bell peppers pieces inside the mussels but you do not taste them at all due to the overwhelming of curry taste.

The restaurant is louder than the other restaurants I've been but the conversation is still audible. I especially love to currency collection wall that they have. Such a diverse community!

I usually don't write this long review but I am impressed by the taste of the food. Will definitely recommend to try it out!

I had dinner at Satay Brothers on a Friday evening. The restaurant has a nice, vibrant vibe, it's definitely lively & noisy, which fits the weekend energy, but it also felt a bit too crowded.
I ordered the shrimp fried rice. The portion was on the smaller side, & although the price was reasonable, the dish itself was quite spicy. It only came with three shrimps. The rice was well-cooked & had a nice crunch to it, while the shrimp were tender. The flavors & spices were okay, but nothing impressive, I've definitely had better versions elsewhere.
Overall, my experience was okay. The place feels a bit overrated to me. The service, however, was good. Would I come back? Probably not.

Satay Brothers is a colorful restaurant serving Singaporean dishes, located near the popular Atwater Market. I visited on a Saturday evening, & the place was packed. There was a short line at the door, & we waited about 20-25 minutes before being seated at the bar, which worked out just fine.

The staff were very friendly & welcoming. The host at the entrance, whose parents run the restaurant, was especially warm, & both the bartenders & servers were attentive despite the weekend rush. That said, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, I recommend putting in your order quickly since service can feel a little stretched when it's busy.

I ordered the Char Kway Teow ($20 CAD), a stir-fried noodle dish with shrimp, clams, & Chinese sausage. The flavors were good & matched the menu description, but my only disappointment was that the portion size felt quite small for the price.

The atmosphere is what really stands out: bright decorations, colorful energy, a mix of people enjoying both food & drinks, & hip-hop music adding to the vibe. It's definitely a spot for more than just eating-it feels like a place to hang out & soak in the energy.

Overall, Satay Brothers is a fun, vibrant place to enjoy Singaporean dishes in Montreal. If you want to avoid the wait, try going on a weekday, but if you don't mind the crowd, the weekend buzz is part of the experience.

Eaten here 4 times, tonight had papaya salad, satay chicken & shrimp squewers, fried rice, pork buns, coconut beef, spicy veg, & salmon. Everything delicious, well presented, great service. No complaints at Satay.

Edit -- I went again & ordered the skewers & the caramelized coconut milk dessert (with mango, sticky rice & some seeds) -- portion size was small for skewers but they were pretty good especially the dessert.

We ordered 3 items in the Lunch menu -- all underwhelming & tiny portions. The egg fried rice was the worst I ever had :(
