Really enjoyed the food & the fine-dining ambiance. The restaurant is big & well laid out. However, the menu-especially the starters-is limited, & there's no paneer tikka. When we asked for spicy food, they just added a lot of black pepper, which made the dish extremely spicy, but not in the traditional Indian way

We had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Veranda . Our server, Mohit, truly made the experience stand out. He was friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations & making sure we were comfortable throughout the meal.

Mohit & Lina truly made our visit special! From the moment we sat down, they were welcoming, attentive, & genuinely kind, setting the tone for a great experience. Lina took amazing care of us throughout the meal, & despite saying she doesn't like sweets, she was easily the sweetest part of the night with her warmth & positive energy! Huge appreciation to Mohit as well for going above & beyond by bringing us extra garlic naan even as they were closing. That level of hospitality really means a lot. The butter chicken was excellent, the garlic naan was fresh & flavorful, & the mango lassis were perfect. Shoutout as well to Shubham & the rest of the team for creating such a welcoming atmosphere. This is a place run by people who truly care, & it shows. Looking forward to coming back again!

Un endroit magnifique, qui met en valeur cet édifice patrimoniale dans une ambiance exotique mais chic & de bon goût, un bel ajout au vieux Montréal. & une excellente cuisine, avec de nombreux choix végétariens & vegan. Nous étions ravis. On recommande les grandes tables avec les deux devants devant les fenêtres arrière. Très agréable à quatre ou en famille. Hâte de découvrir la terrasse cet été.

Verandah is a beautiful restaurant with an outstanding atmosphere & truly top-notch service. The staff is attentive, polite, & professional, & the ambience is elegant & relaxing-definitely one of the highlights of the experience.
The food is good overall, but it feels more blended & toned down compared to traditional Indian cuisine. The dishes lack the bold, authentic masala flavors one would normally expect from Indian food. If the restaurant advertised itself as Indo-Western or fusion cuisine, this approach would make more sense & set the right expectations.
That said, the quality, presentation, & consistency are still solid, which is why I'd rate the food 4 stars. For atmosphere & service, however, it's an easy 5 stars. A great place for a refined dining experience-especially if you enjoy milder, modern interpretations of Indian flavors.

They were booked fully. They made room for us on a holiday & we had some amazing food & drink. I highly recommend this place. Really tasty drink. & amazing food.

We visited this Indian restaurant last night & overall had a great experience. The food was delicious , we ordered dal makhni & some breads, which were excellent. The chicken dish was a bit on the spicier side for us, so we couldn't fully enjoy it, but that's more of a personal spice tolerance.
The service was warm, attentive, & genuinely appreciated.
Just a small suggestion for the owner: the downstairs washrooms could use a bit more attention. The garbage bin was full with napkins spilling onto the floor, & the floor was quite wet without a visible wet-floor sign, which could be a slipping hazard. Regular washroom checks would really help.
Being from the same industry, I understand how important these details are. That said, it was still a very positive experience.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star rating , we'll definitely be back & will happily spread the word to support the restaurant.

The food was very tasty. We sat outside on the patio which had a cute ambience. The Pani Puri/Dahi Puri was my favourite, I still think about it a couple months later. The staff was very friendly & made us feel so welcome.

Flavours were impeccable. Cocktails were delicious, especially Whispers of Veranda.
Traditional flavours, nothing innovative, but they were perfectly executed.
Our server, Durga Manivannan was polite, knowledgable & had excellent recommendations.

Visited this place for the first time & had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious-fresh, well-flavored, & served hot.
The ambience was clean, cozy, & welcoming, making it a comfortable place to dine. The staff was polite, attentive, & quick to respond, which made the experience even better.
Overall, a great spot for good food & a pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely recommend & visit again!

We had a wonderful dinner at this beautiful restaurant in the Old Port area. The food was authentic & full of flavour. Both the presentation & taste were amazing, & the ambience made the whole evening feel special.
Huge compliments to the chef, Abhijay, who clearly knows his food & puts a lot of care into every dish we tried. Everything felt really well done & memorable. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Montreal.
PS: We were so busy hogging the food that we totally forgot to take pictures of the food.
