At Bruce, we serve comforting, hearty dishes like haggis, Cullen skink, smoked haddock, black pudding, and a few boozy desserts.
Chef Scott Love leads the kitchen, bringing a background shaped in Scotland.
The drinks list is well thought out - Wine, Scotch, classic cocktails, and organic beer from Terre à Boire in Saint-Blaise.
The space is warm and familiar - dark wood, stained glass lights, and old family photos on the walls.
Drop in for a drink, something sweet, or a solid meal.

The food was excellent, the service was great, lovely food experience..a must
Everything was really good! Cute addition to Griffintown. Keep up it up Bruce Team!
The blood pudding & haggis-dishes that can traditionally be intimidating-were done to perfection & proved approachable for anyone.
Already been here 3 times! Great food & a very cool representation of modern Scottish concepts & ingredients.
Staff is welcoming & friendly too!
Really cozy spot, great atmosphere & good food! Service was a bit slow but everything else was great
Went here for Hogmanay (NYE). Excellent & friendly service from all the staff.
Crumpet was alright. The cauliflower purée had a lumpy oatmeal texture to it that wasn't great. Haggis was pretty good, well seasoned. Scallop was nice but I was expecting more than one. The chocolate mousse & pecans were great finish. The xeres added a bit of a cherry flavour to it.
The Glesga cuppa was overpowered by the IRN BRU & just tasted like Orange Crush. The Bruce Martinez was smooth & well balanced. Selkie's kick was nice as well.
Enjoyed the music (Class Actress was a welcome surprise). The generic Christmas lights had a weird effect on my photos though as they reflected off the plates. Also using a lion logo when Scotland is more strongly associated with the unicorn is an odd choice.
Great service, great staff everything was great
. However the food is extremely overpriced. The Sunday roast for 55$ is ridiculous. Mostly side dishes & 2 thin slices of roast. A lovely experience that was brought down by an absurd price. I understand that margins are low & that it's difficult, but this just felt like completely unfair portion for what is supposed to be a special menu. There is no restaurant I have ever gone to where I left hungry after spending 50$. Unfortunately will not be coming back
A lovely, cosy spot with amazing food. We shared the lamb & vegetables - delicious. We'll be back.
This was my first time trying Scottish food & I couldn't get enough of the Haggis & the Risotto. Amazing service, great ambiance, you can tell alot of love & care went into this restaurant. Can't wait to go again!
Délicieux, ambiance spot on! J'ai adoré ma soirée & j'y retournerai certainement.
Gros + sur les cocktails, surtout celui Scotch & pomme verte
Interesting to try Scottish food like haggis & potatoes rumpledethump. Food was tasty & good for cozy winter weather. Nice atmosphere too.
Was pleasantly surprised by the whole thing. An intimate cozy venue filled with a Scottish charm, & the food is worth it. I had the leg of Lamb dish & it was delicious, fell off the bone. I hesitantly tried some of the Haggis, & don't let the name get to you because it was nothing of what I expected, especially with it's presentation, & just blew my mind at how good it all was. A great spot for a date night.
Everything was delicious. Beer program on point. Bring your momma.
A wonderful resto to spend a cold Winter night in Montreal. Food was delightful & the service was attentive. Will be returning.
Incredible food, friendly service, & cozy ambiance. The portions are generous & delicious, even for vegetarians! They have really created a cool yet relaxed ambiance. Wine selection was lovely as well. Cant wait to be back
First time having Scottish food & I can say it will NOT be my last. On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere is incredibly cozy & feels intimate; as if you are immediately friend or family just by sitting there. Owners came to the table & were so sweet & welcoming. The wine selection is also amazing, including a lot of local options. I highly recommend this place - go by yourself, with friends or family. It'll be a great time, if not you can blame it on me!
Très belle expérience, délicieux & copieux donne envie de retourner ou d'aller en Ecosse! Ou encore mieux de retourner au Bruce.
