Very sweet workers. Warm ambiance, feels a bit in between. Cozy. Willing to go again & try their savoury food. The creme brulee hojicha was delightful & a beautiful texture. Cashiers was very sweet & helpful. The owner/pastry chef was also nice. He went for a smoke & wished me a great evening. I love the simple beauty of genuine human encounters this felt like it.
Made it here 1 hour before closing. Glad we did. Fantastic! Service was great here. Pastry was amazing. Wifey & I got a raspberry danish which had clear jello glazed raspberries on a delightful pastry with pudding in the middle & sugar around the base. It was the perfect balance of sweetness & sour raspberry flavor. We also tried the Crème Brûlée Hojicha. It was fantastic. Blow torched at the counter. Perfectly not overwhelmingly sweet. Tea flavor cream was very nice. Last we tried the Tarte Matcha Framboise. Also very yummy. Green tea flavor was outstanding. Tarte crust was perfect. Coffee was very reasonably priced & perfectly paired with our desserts. We ordered a double expresso & Americana. Staff was friendly & hospitable. Baking staff was Japanese & masters at their craft! Would def come back again!
We just picked up about 5 desserts & ate them all in the hotel room. & omg! It was delicious!
Tastes are balanced out so well! Mousse cakes & flaky pastry are all so tasty🤤
Amazing croissants! We had the chocolate pecan, & a raspberry custard pastry… they were delicious!!!
Word of warning to Australians - get your coffee elsewhere but your pastries here ??
Went to see aura light show at Notre Dame Basilica Catheral & came upon this cute cafe. Ordered Chai latte, Kumo & peach pastry. They tasted perfect. The sweet & sour Kumo & lighter sweetness from peach pastry are perfect combination with the Chai latte. Altho we prefer Chai latte that are less sweet.
As a Bostonian who did a lot of traveling, I'd say this is the best pastry shop on the continent, dethroning my previous favorites from NYC.
If you are in the province of Quebec, it's worth a stop.
Great pastry selections & nice ambience located in heart of downtown Montreal. Few meters from notra dame basilica. Taste is good but little expensive for the portion size
Great little patisserie cafe! Delicious pastry & amazing service. Family Friendly: Yes! Parking: limited street Pet friendly: N/A Rose aux chocolats, coeur à la mure: 5 Stars - Absolutely amazing! Maybe because I had low expectations lol I was really worried there was going to be some floral taste even though they told me it was hazelnut & chocolate... its because of the shape LOL Tarte mont-blanc (châtaignes): 5 Stars - My all time favorite pastry is a Mont Blanc. I keep telling myself i'm going to try to make it at home but than i look at the list of ingredients & super happy i found this place so i could stuff my face :) Chocolate Blanc - passion fruit & pistachio: 3 Stars - I really wanted to like this but i guess i dont understand the craze for passion fruit LOL it was very tasty but compared to the other two this was on the bottom of the list.
I took this pastry by bus 30min - > metro 15min - > & walked 14k steps) Very tasty, baked goods
I've visited a lot of cafes & pastry shops in Montreal but hands down one of the best ones in terms of pastries & the service. 100% recommended!
We came for lunch & had the quiche & a savoury pastry with mushrooms & poached egg. It was so delightful we came back later in the day for some sweet treats! Would highly recommend.
This is the greatest breakfast I have ever eaten. A pair of pastry chefs, one from Japan, one from Brittany, have United to produce the most incredible fusion pastries in the world. I have traveled to both Japan & France, & would have never imagined that the two could be fused, yet Patisserie Bervig fused them masterfully. The individuals at the helm of this business put an immeasurable amount of love into their pastries. The level of craft with which these pastries are made cannot be put into words. If you are in Montréal, DO NOT skip out on this place!
We were a couple doors down at Pizza Bros & wanted to check it out. They have anything from premade sandwiches to pastries. The pastry we had (raspberry) was delicious!.
We stopped in Montreal for a quick bite as we drove to Toronto. We ended up at this delightful shop & bought two sandwiches & a couple of pastries. The beef banquet was fabulous. The Ham had great flavors & yummy roasted vegetables. We ate cream puff with light pastry & delicious custard. The chocolate & almond croissant is for dessert later. Enjoyed a picnic across from Notre Dame with lovely music & people.
Absolutely divine! Patisserie Berbig's pastries are a culinary masterpiece. Every bite is a journey to pastry perfection. My wife adored them! From the delicate flavors to the flawless presentation, it's a five-star experience through & through. Highly recommend indulging in their creations!
