Estiatorio Milos offers an absolutely incredible Greek dining experience right in the heart of Montreal. The seafood is exceptionally fresh, flown in daily & prepared to absolute perfection. The atmosphere is highly elegant & the waitstaff is incredibly professional.
The food here is undeniably excellent, beautifully prepared, flavorful, & consistent with the restaurant's reputation. The kitchen clearly delivers at a very high level.
That said, the pricing has gotten out of hand over the past 5 to 6 years. It feels like prices have nearly doubled, & it is getting hard to justify. Our last visit was around $500 for three people, without any drinks.
Being charged for bottled water at this price point also feels unnecessary. When you are already spending that much, it comes across as nickel & diming.
This used to be one of my favorite spots. The food is still great, but the value just is not there anymore.
Among the priciest Mediterranean Restaurants in Montreal, one is never disappointed when Great Quality Foods & A-1 Service are provided in a comfortable ambiance for many to dine at. Our Salads were sumptuous & the fried zucchini tower was a treat; mind you getting to the tzatziki center core proved to be interesting. The grilled octopus was delicious & enjoyed by all of us who just wanted a'taste'. The steaks that were ordered were grilled to perfection as were the lamb chops that were perfect. Our only issue was these dishes were served with fries instead of being accompanied by roasted potatoes or some other side. desserts were fresh & tasted homemade. The eight (8) of us we all said this was one of the best meals we have enjoyed this year.
Loved the food! The service was a little rugged but perhaps that is the style (IYKYK). They can offer the dinner menu at lunch which helps a lot. No kids menu unfortunately.

I've dined at Milos before & it was one of those overall experiences that stays with you the kind that makes you want to come back. So I did. Or at least, I tried to.
I called to move an existing Sunday reservation to Friday. What followed was one of the most unnecessarily frustrating phone calls I've had with a restaurant. I accidentally said Saturday instead of Sunday when referencing my reservation a slip of the tongue & instead of simply confirming the name & moving on, it became a whole ordeal. I gave my name, clarified the date, & asked if we could move it to Friday instead. The staff member told me she didn't understand what I was asking, even though the request was straightforward: can we come today instead of Sunday?
She offered two available time slots for Friday. I then asked to confirm that the reservation wouldn't be at the bar, since when we had looked online, the bar was the only option showing availability. Instead of reassuring me, she seemed thrown off by the question & circled back to ask what time I wanted as if we hadn't just gone through the options she gave me. I said 20h, meaning 20h30, & she immediately corrected me saying she never said 20h. I know I misspoke by 30 minutes. Again, a completely normal thing that could have been handled with a simple'did you mean 20h30?' Instead it felt like I was being talked down to.
She put me on hold. I hung up.
For a restaurant of Milos's caliber & price point, you expect a certain warmth & patience from every interaction, not just when you're sitting at the table. This call was the opposite of that.
I'm not sure what to make of it.
Oysters amazing. Crab cake could be top 10 I've ever had. Rid eye was terrible. Was hoping at the price point it would be a top 10 steak. Just tasted burnt & that's about it.

This was the first time my wife & I visited estiatorio Milos. We shopping in downtown not to far away to this restaurant. We searched on Google for nearby
a restaurant & decided to have dinner here.
Everything was excellent! The staff were also very nice.
We highly recommend this restaurant. For me, this was the first time I had ever tried such an amazing lobster pasta
Major pressure on this restaurant since it has such a huge reputation, it does live up to the expectations! Definitely best greek in the city, great experience. Some of the best octopus I have ever had. The fruits for dessert were phenomenal.
For the past week, after going to this delightful restaurant experience, I was lucky enough to be selected to take all the leftover Fagri home.
I had never had such a large amount of fish in my fridge before. Over the next couple days, I had many different friends come over to my house, some that were French, & some that were Lebanese, & they all said it was some of the best fish they had had in a really long time.
This has convinced me for sure to plan a fishing trip to that beautiful country soon enough. Maybe even visit the other Milos locations !
