Stumbled in here after walking around old Montreal & so glad we did! The food was delicious, the vibes are immaculate, but the best part was our server, Steve. He was so attentive & kind & helped us find coffee we desperately needed afterwords. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful spot, great food, the octopus was tender & cooked perfectly. The formula has several plates to share. Everything we tried was great. Attentive service. The restaurant itself has a minimal vibe. Would easily return.
WOW!! J'ai fêté mon anniversaire au Mati & let me tell you it was amazing! On était un groupe de 18 personnes, service incroyable du début jusqu'à la fin, dès que j'ai appelé pour réserver on m'a super bien accommodé, très réceptifs aux courriels, le staff est tellement gentil & bien évidemment le resto est magnifique. La nourriture était excellente, menu de groupe top! Vraiment wow comme expérience merci pour tout!
Can you imagine how amazing a five-star restaurant would be? A world-class chef, outstanding service… You have to try the octopus - wow, it's so delicious. Definitely five stars!
WONDERFUL dining experience! My husband & I had dinner here on a Thursday evening. We were given a warm welcome from Theo (mgr/owner?) & brought to a lovely table in the corner by the large windows looking out onto St Paul. Our waitress greeted us promptly & was sweet, personable, & added to a great experience. We decided on tapas style & order a bunch of apps bc all sounded delicious & they all were. Each dish came out perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, & simply divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening & look forward to our return.
One of the best greek food. You will never forget it, I bet. The cook must be one of the best in the world. The lamb neck is something to die for. Cannot wait to return. Hats off!!!!
Our experience at Mati Greek restaurant was phenomenal! We went for a date night & were blown away by the delicious food & warm atmosphere. The shared dishes concept is perfect. We started with the Kopanisti -a rich, creamy dip paired with warm pita-followed by a savory Greek-style lamb neck with grilled shishito peppers & perfectly roasted Greek potatoes. The wine selection was excellent, & the service was impeccable. It was the best meal we had during our weekend in Montreal. Highly recommend!
Went with a group of 8 people. The whole experience was amazing! Food was even better we almost tried everything since it's a big Sharing menu. Service & atmosphere matched the quality of the food.. felt very welcomed. & would recommend for anyone looking for a quality resto in the old port
Bon restaurant grec avec une carte limitée (peut-être trop, manque de spécialités variées). Un peu de mal avec l'approche'plats à partager'. C'est bien d'avoir la possibilité de partager quand on vient nombreux mais à deux ça limite grandement les possibilités lorsqu'on veut gouter plusieurs plats. La décoration est soignée & le service attentionné. Je mets 4 étoiles pour les raisons mentionnées précédemment. Pas dans mon top des restaurants grecs à Montréal malheureusement.
Wow!!! I really loved everything about Mati! My friend & I recently celebrated our 50th birthday here , & the food, drinks & hospitality were impeccable! The braised lamb neck was so tender & wonderfully flavoured, & the grilled octopus was so delicious that we ate it all before I even thought to take a photo, but it was so good I really wanted to order another. I would have if I wasn't so full! Also, shout out to the green beans, roasted potatoes & tzatziki. They were all delicious as well.
The Prometheus cocktail was an absolute showstopper with the flaming garnish, & the entire cocktail menu was really thoughtful & interesting.
