What a fantastic place!!! Our 1st time & by far the best Greek food I ever had. The staff is helpful, super friendly, & very professional. We were a family of 5, we choose the seabass, pork chops, vine leaves, calamari, roasted potatoes, grilled octopus, green beans. Everything was excellent, well seasoned, & cooked to perfection, so so delicious. We also had the ice cream & the custard. It was amazing! I highly recommend it.
Best food on the planet, it's as if you're eating on a summer evening in Greece. I recommend the grilled octopus & Greek salad as well as the pork chops!! Truly, it melts in your mouth & each bite is flavourful. This is one of the best Greek restaurants in Montreal, I don't think any other place can compare. The service was awesome, staff were very kind & always engaging with us making sure our service was good. This place deserves a 5 star rating, even higher if possible
Taverne Grecque Máti is a perfect spot for those who love Mediterranean cuisine. They serve traditional Greek flavors with an exceptional focus on freshness & quality. From appetizers to main courses, everything is in perfect harmony. I highly recommend the calamari & stuffed grape leaves. It's also a very satisfying place in terms of price-performance.
An amazing experience we had there !! From the atmosphere, food & service , everything was exceptional! The music wasn't too loud so you can talk, the decor is very cozy & tasteful & makes you feel your somewhere in Greece, the food was full of flavours, from the appetizers to the main dishes to the dessert & drinks ! We had some dips with fresh pita for starters, then had the grilled octopus , grilled shrimps to share, then had the grilled pork chops & kefta , all of it was just wow ! For cocktail you need to take Minos ! The service with charlotte & Adrian was on point even it added warmth to our first time there! I definitely recommend that restaurant & will come back there & try others items from the menu !! Montreal needs more restaurants like this one nowadays !!!

Merveilleux restaurant grec, dès la porte nous sommes plongés dans une ambiance méditerranéenne. Nous avons commandé le collier d'agneau braisé 24h ainsi que la pieuvre & les keftas grillés, & tout était exquis. Une cuisson parfaite, maîtrisé ainsi qu'un assaisonnement digne d'un étoilé. Je recommandent les yeux fermés, entre amis ou avec votre moitié !
Really enjoyed this lovely place. We came in the snowstorm & were greeted so kindly. We ate a fresh greek salad with a nice block of feta, perfectly cooked octopus, delicious grilled fennel, & a hearty greek sausage. Everything was outstanding. Highly recommended.
I would love to be able to recommend Mati - the food is fantastic & service is very good. But one aspect was so unpleasant that I need to mention: the loud music.
We went for an early dinner (6 pm, not party time), & music playing at that time was just on the verge of being too loud. It was was interesting music & no too intrusive at that point. Mid way through our dinner, they started playing loud, pulsing lounge music, inappropriate to the enjoyment of a good meal in good company. I eventually mentioned it to the staff & they turned it down 10 mins later.
My preference is for music that contributes to a good, warm, comfy atmosphere, so unfortunately, I don't plan to be back.

Lors de notre dernière visite, nous étions un groupe de sept personnes & nous avons été Séduit par la nourriture, servie par le restaurant. Aliments frais, nouvelle palette, découvertes, Des repas qui sont différents de la normale, nous avons réellement adoré l'endroit. De plus, nous avons eu un service exceptionnel & nous tenons à souligner le service de madame Emylina , Qui était constamment à nos petits soins, & qui s'assurait en tout temps que tous les personnes sur la table soient bel & bien servies, & qu'il y ait toujours de l'eau dans nos verres, ce qui est très rare de nos jours. En résumé un restaurant que nous recommandons fortement pour une soirée entre garçons avec un service exceptionnel & une nourriture fraîche & excellente.
Nous avons choisi ce restaurant pour célébrer ma fête avec mon copain, & nous avons adoré notre expérience. Le service offert par Xavier était impeccable : attentionné, chaleureux & de très bons conseils. Il nous a fait d'excellentes suggestions de plats à partager, que nous avons vraiment appréciées.
C'était notre première visite au restaurant, mais certainement pas la dernière. Une belle ambiance, un service exceptionnel & une expérience qui donne envie de revenir sans hésiter. Nous recommandons fortement !
Loved our meal here!! When we checked into the Uville Hotel they recommended it & we decided to go & dang that was an amazing meal. We were so glad we took her up on this recommendation. We got two dips (eggplant & tzatziki), two people in my group shared a large meat dish + green beans & I got the fried eggplant dish (incredible & I'm a vegetarian so it was nice they had good options). I also got a Greek salad that we all shared. It's a great menu for sharing. Highly recommend!!
A truly upscale Greek gastronomy experience. The food menu is designed with careful consideration for taste & variety. There were a lot of options for me as a vegetarian.
I chose the lentil soup, the insalata dip & the crispy eggplants. All were truly delicious & well portioned.
At the bar, the bartender Felix is exceptional in service & hospitality with great suggestions & perfectly mixed drinks.
I would highly recommend everyone to try this place out
Very excellent experience here! Food was seriously amazing, highly recommended the pork chops! They exceeded expectations! Atmosphere was very pleasant, although personally we felt like the music was a little too loud. But Sofia was an amazing server, very friendly, & accommodating! Would definitely come back here again! 🙏❤?
A warm & elegant restaurant, we had lunch here today, the food was authentic & delicious. The beet/pistachio salad was excellent & pretty. We also shared lemon roasted potatoes & one of Máti's special mains, a slow-braise lamb neck that was fork tender & fortifying. We will be back. Highly recommend.
Excellente expérience aujourd'hui (feuilles de vigne, agneau, légumes farcis, yogourt grec, flan pâtissier, crème glacée baklava, à partager entre deux adultes & deux jeunes enfants. Un sans faute. Le cadre du restaurant est très beau & très bien placé dans le Vieux Montréal. Nous recommandons!
