Afficher toutbrunch(39) dessert(34) recommend(29) drink(29) lounge(27) prix(25) season(24) beautiful(20) bar(16) salad(15) cocktail(15) vibe(14)Great food & even better hospitality, particularly thanks to Richard & head sommelier Alex. The wine list was immaculately cultivated. Their sashimi was better than anything I had in Japan. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.
HONEST take 😕 Over the last 3 years, I've been to this place more than 10 times; Sometimes alone, sometimes on a date, & often to celebrate with family. First, it's a great place, but I wouldn't bother recommend it if you're looking for the best experience in town. While the food feels like it's done with love, it can get quite pricey. The portions are relatively small, & while I understand it's gastronomy, the reduction in size over the past year is notable. The salad tastes quite basic, more like something a cow would eat. I also suggest skipping the focaccia plate in the lounge, as it's essentially the same as the complimentary bread they give free if you ask. Service can be hit or miss. We had some servers who were thoughtful & patient, while others seemed to force their smiles, making it awkward. don't feel compelled to give the 15% tip for service that doesn't meet expectations, especially in places where the staff may overestimate their service. Additionally, there seems to be a consistent issue with getting water... Yes you read it right. Each time I've dined in the lounge, I end up playing a game of eye contact to request water. The only time we received water without asking was when we were CHARGED 24$ for 2 bottles, quite a surprise! We didn't finish it, & they didn't offer to let us take it with us. Waste water... Ultimately, I wouldn't choose this restaurant for an ordinary outing. However, I do recommend it if it's for a time, a moment to share with someone but OCCASIONALLY. Personally i probably won't but I do enjoy the lounge because it's more comfortable, warm, & feels private "less serious". They could definitely improve their service & the variety of food & desserts there but well. While the dishes still taste good & the restaurant is beautifully designed, don't be swayed too heavily by either 1 star or 5 stars reviews. Each experience is pretty unique, & while it's a decent place, it's not the greatest in the area. With some improvements, it could be a no-brainer really exceptional place.
Excellent service, food, quality, location, music & ambience. The waiter was very nice & attentive. The desserts were great too! Highly recommended.
Amazing experience great food & drinks thank you to our waitress Erin, truly recommended :)
Don't let the cocktails menu stop you. They'll make almost whatever you want, although the Aperol Spritz was maybe a little too sweet... The ambiance on the lounge with sunset was so great that we decided to order a Seafood Tower (sufficient for 5 & delicious) with wine & drinks instead of waiting for our table in the restaurant. I highly recommend!
Jasmine nous a servi & she was so friendly. Je recommande à 100%
I really like the experience the egg & salmon was really good I recommend the experience
Friendly, attentive service & luxurious yet surprisingly kid-friendly! We dined around 6:30 pm with our 5 year old & were reassured to see they had an extensive kids' menu. The adults enjoyed expertly prepared cocktails, fresh seafood & wonderful appetizers (recommend the salmon tartare & roasted whole cauliflower), & even the 5 year old was happy with the fresh pasta & chocolate ice cream for dessert. The service was truly wonderful, making us feel like everyone was included (even kiddo). Try to get a seat in the open air section, great on a warm evening!
Had a beautiful meal here while staying at the hotel. We sat in a circle booth & I highly recommend them- so comfy. One of my favorite touches to the restaurant is the extensive noise reduction they did. It was packed on a Friday night, service was extremely prompt & we could all hear each other no problem. We got the seafood tower, fish entrees, the waygu & the cauliflower. All the dishes were to die for & don't sleep on dessert!
We celebrated our marriage here for dinner. Amazing French style foods, very friendly staff & very romantic atmosphere. Definitely recommend for those who want to celebrate their big days.
Highly recommend the tuna tartare & the grilled octopus. The oysters were a solid 7/10 Good cocktails & wine
Excellence restaurant located in the heart of the city. Foods are well prepared & presented. Very welcoming & friendly staffs. highly recommend
We were recommended to go there, so we went for lunch. The place is very nice, with good views, decor, & light. We had 2 burgers, fries ,& drinks. For what we paid & what we expected I was disappointed. I feel like the food needed elevation for the class of restaurant it is. A Wagyu burger shouldn't have lettuce tomato & cheddar cheese. Should have had a more elegant cheese, home pickled tomato, & maybe arugula/mizuna instead. Also spicy mayo (marble sauce) isn't really a good thing anymore, it's everywhere & on par with sriracha. I would have preferred a homemade spicy miso dressing going with the Wagyu theme. & to put the burger over the top serve open with a fried quail egg on top with some crunchy tempura for texture.
Booked for Montreal en lumière brunch for 10am & was told on arriving that brunch would start at 11am for the special service. Our server told us the same thing happened the day before to other guests. We debated leaving but decided to sit & wait for the full hour. The first course was meat, eggs, potatoes, & toast. The quality was fine, but the potatoes were cold. The next few courses were raw veggies with olive oil, anchovy & onion toast, & & beignets. Dessert was frozen nougat rolled in pistachios. This was the most disappointing Montreal en lumière meal we have ever had, none of the dishes justified the $95 per person price tag. Our server was well meaning, but inattentive. We had to ask for more water, & at no point were we asked if we enjoyed the food, even though several things were sent back. Overall, a very disappointing experience, will not be back or recommend.
This is a must go to spot while you're in Montreal. Rather it's dinner, late night drinks or brunch. Lobster omelette was incredible. This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been too. It's so open, with lots of greenery & modern. Management, servers & bartenders were all top notch. Would highly recommend going here.
While visiting Montreal for the weekend to celebrate my mother's birthday, we decided to try the Marcus restaurant, recommended by a friend. Despite being fully booked, I was told when I called that they were accepting walk-ins. The ambiance didn't match the elegance I expected from a Four Seasons property. Upon arrival, the initial interaction with the hostess left much to be desired. She was dismissive, stating that the bar was full, empty tables were for hotel guests, & the kitchen was closing soon, implying we should leave. Despite the unwelcoming atmosphere & loud music, we opted to wait, as we had no other immediate options nearby. The hostess, who indicated she would let us know when a table became available, ignored us while we waited in the lounge. Eventually, I discovered the restaurant's host on the other side & was promptly seated. The food was excellent, salvaging our experience. However, the party-like atmosphere within a Four Seasons hotel seemed odd. A note to the hostess: exclusivity shouldn't equate to rudeness. You could have politely directed us to the restaurant instead of making us feel unwelcome, especially considering it was my older mother's birthday. To management: Instead of a customary apology, take actionable steps to train your staff for better hospitality. This review aims to inform others about the experience to expect. Actions speak louder than apologies.
