The food is just okay, but way overpriced. The service was poor & inattentive-our server kept pushing the most expensive dishes & urging us to order more.
The lounge wasn't nice either, & the drinks were terrible. I ordered two cocktails for $60, but only managed to drink a quarter of them because they tasted so bad I couldn't finish.
The DJ was also bad; the music was dull & lifeless. I will never be coming back.
I went to Marcus at the Four Seasons Montréal for Christmas dinner with my mom, & overall it was a wonderful experience. The food & drinks were absolutely amazing. Everything looked incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, & thoughtfully executed. I'm usually not a mushroom person at all, but the truffle pasta was genuinely otherworldly. One of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave.
The ambiance felt festive yet elegant, & it made for a really special Christmas night with my mom.
The only downside was at the very start. Despite having a reservation, we were asked to wait over 30 minutes for our table, while it seemed that someone familiar with the staff, possibly a hotel regular or friend, was seated ahead of us. I understand that this kind of thing can happen in hospitality, especially in high-end hotels, but it did take away a bit from the Christmas spirit & excitement we walked in with.
That said, once seated, everything else truly delivered. I wouldn't let one moment of awkward customer service overshadow how excellent the food, drinks, & overall experience were. If the opportunity comes, I would definitely give it a second chance & go again, & I would still highly recommend Marcus as a standout spot in Montréal. 🫶🏻
I have been coming to Marcus since it opened, & the service used to be consistently excellent. However, my last two visits have been very disappointing.
Last night, I came to celebrate my birthday & was extremely let down. We arrived at 9:00 p.m., & no waiter came to our table until around 9:30-9:35 p.m., not even to offer drinks. The only person who acknowledged us was Mathis, our busboy, who brought water at the beginning & was absolutely great.
After waiting about 30 minutes, we asked Mathis who our waiter was, & only then did the waiter finally come-after serving the table behind us, which had arrived after we did. It then took another 20 minutes to receive our drinks. Even after that, no one came back to take our food order.
We were originally supposed to be a party of six, but only four of us had arrived. No one asked whether the party would remain at four or if we were still waiting for others. It felt like service was delayed simply because the full party had not arrived, without any communication or acknowledgment.
We finally received our food around 10:15 p.m. We ordered the large seafood tower, caviar, & two filet mignons for two of us, while the rest of the table ordered their own entrées & main courses.
My water was not refilled even once throughout the meal.We left the dining room around 11:25 p.m. & were never offered dessert.
Afterward, we went to the lounge & sat there for about 40 minutes before anyone came to see us. By that point, it was around 12:15 a.m. I was exhausted & very disappointed .we had been there since 9:00 p.m.
Overall, it was a very poor experience, especially for a restaurant of this caliber, & particularly disappointing considering it was meant to be a birthday celebration.
It was almost $90 for one dish (chicken & waffle) & a drink…. The waffles were also so dry!
Music with DJ was too loud, too… I dont think I'd return, sorry! Disappointing as I'd heard good things.
Went to dinner on a long weekend. Very crowded night. Need to hold my bottom to squeeze to the corner table assigned. Amazing food, with limited service from the server. Took more than 4 hours to complete the meal. Wait time for drinks, for food, & for our server to drop by are very very long. If I knew where to place order & get water, I would do it myself.
At this cost the drinks gotta be good!
Didnt try the food but atmosphere was great there was a band & the singer's voice was lovely :) i had the passion fruit if recall correctly
The lounge is perfect to have some drinks. & while they're not your 14$ + tax drinks you'll find at a random bar, but they will be well mixed & definitely pack their alcohol punch.
The only thing nice about the place is the location. Their servers are very rude, their food smells bad & is inedible. I ordered the chicken, it smelled so bad I couldn't even eat. The table next to us also ordered the chicken & complained about it. The management did nothing. I wouldn't recommend going there for dinner, maybe for some drinks at the bar.

Beautiful restaurant inside the Four Seasons Hotel. The service was amazing & friendly. The drinks were good & change every few months. Food was very good, but i would almost consider some dishes to be fine dining dishes since portions are small but very fancy. To be full, you will definitely have to take an appetizer & dessert. Overall great experience. The waiter brings a platter of all the desserts available (about 6 options). The lounge late at night gets crowed, almost turning into a club. On the other side, the night lounge is perfect. Thank you
Went to the bar, ordered 2 tequila sodas…made it super clear, bartender made me pay before the drinks. I didnt mind spending the money so I just pay…made 3, I said I only ordered 2…a couple guys behind me said I heard you only order 2 after the bartender tried to argue with me & said I ordered 3 & there's nothing he can do…. Very disappointing, seems like the bartender was trying to boost his tip, won't be coming back
Good food & atmosphere (for others) but remarkably shitty service especially for an establishment like the Four Seasons. Went on a Friday for drinks around 8pm. Got seated in a section without people. Asked the hostess if we could have a table in the section with people. She said we could move to a section behind the bar (which we as patrons do not know that will be completely empty for hours). We had to flag people down for menus, drinks & food. When this said hostess came to ask how were we're doing, i said we were looking to be in the section with live bodies. She said we just needed to wait another 45 minutes...needless to say this was a very mediocre experience... i think you guys can seriously step up your service. Maybe tune down the attitude too. I think you loss sight of the mission of the Four Season of providing superior service.
☹️ Je n'ai pas vécu une bonne expérience. Pour commencer l'accueil était inexistant. Personne pour me diriger vers le restaurant. La serveuse me dit d'aller chercher ma table moi-même, pour rejoindre mes amies qui sont finalement à côté d'un autre ascenseur. J'ai commandé un 1er mocktail qui est supposé avoir de la fruit de la passion, mais finalement ça coûtait juste la cannelle & c'était chaud 🤢 La côtelette d'agneau était minuscule pour le prix, une chance que j'avais pas trop faim parce que franchement c'est le gros prix pour la plus minuscule assiette que possible. Il y avait un serveur qui n'était pas le nôtre qui vient me demander si tout est correct, quand je lui dis que j'aime pas mon drink & que je veux commander un dessert discrètement pour la fêtée, il commence à crier sur moi & il s'adresse à ma personne avec un ton condescendant 😒🗣️📢 J'ai quand même aimé les frites à la truffe. Le dessert était très médiocre aussi. Pour le prix je m'attendais à ce que mes papilles gustatives soient émerveillé. J'ai plutôt eu le droit à une crème glacée acidulée, bref dégueulasse 🤢
Always happy to be here , I love how careful are with gluten free options , food is delicious & we are always happy with the service , it is just such a staple now . Always a good choice to eat delicious & great drinks with good ambiance
