Stopped by LOV McGill during a recent trip to Montréal & was pleasantly surprised. I had the house-made vegan burger-not your typical Impossible or Beyond patty, which was a nice change. Flavorful, satisfying, & held together well. Definitely a solid choice if you're looking for a good plant-based burger.
Highly recommend going with the sweet potato fries over the regular ones-they're crispier & have way more flavor.
We liked it enough to come back a second time. I tried the fish taco (also vegan), & it was actually really good-great texture & seasoning, one of the standouts on the menu.
Overall, a great spot for anyone looking for a vegetarian or vegan-friendly meal in a stylish, casual setting. Worth a visit even if you're not strictly plant-based.
😘😘 health, veg/vegan food spot. The mushroom toast was delish. Fries were yummy too. Smoothie was good! Large portion sizes
Pretty empty / easy to get table sat @11am
Au top si vous êtes végétarien ou vegan, options sans gluten dispo
Serveur vigilant sur ce point (confirmation intolérance ou coeliaque avant commande)
Definitely not a good meal unfortunately. Nice staff, nice atmosphere but the food was very sub par. Did not feel Local, Organic & not all vegan. Burgers were just plain beyond meat etc & the California bowl was so so salty with some rotten lettuce included :/. Was excited to try this but would encourage more fresh vegetables etc. & less pre packaged ingredients.
Great service with a smile, & with quick food delivery. Excellent vegan options
My girlfriend & I were in Montreal for a quick visit, & wanted a bite to eat after the Archeology museum right down the road. My girlfriend is plant based, & I pretty much follow suit at this point, so we were delighted to find a place that catered to only vegetarian foods. We shared the crostini, very delicious, followed by the French onion soup-yum. I had the carbonara & she had the fish tacos- she couldn't believe that it had a fishy taste & was vegan! The ambience & the setting were a delight, & our server was very pleasant. Highly recommend!
For starters, this has to be one of the best Vegan/Vegetarian restaurants in Montréal. Great service & amazing food, I highly recommend the mushroom crostini & tofu benedict.
Great experience at LOV .
The ambiance is cozy & chic, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. They specialize in plant-based cuisine, offering a wide variety of creative vegan & vegetarian dishes that are as flavorful as they are beautiful. From their signature bowls to the mouthwatering entrees, every bite was delightful. They also have a unique selection of drinks, including healthy, refreshing options & creative cocktails. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or just looking for delicious, wholesome food, LOV is a must-visit spot in Montreal!
My husband & I went to LOV on a date night. My husband is a carnivore & I am a vegetarian. He is pretty reluctant to eat vegetarian food, however, he absolutely loved the food here.
We both really enjoyed the atmosphere & the food was divine. My husband got an old fashioned & was really impressed.
We both had the French onion soup as our appetizer. We shared the mozzarella as well as the arancini for our mains. I would recommend all three of these dishes.
I highly recommend this restaurant for vegans, vegetarians, & carnivores alike!
Used to be the best tasting vegan pancackes downtown... Very disappointed by the new brunch menu (February 1st, 2025) not only having no vegan sugary option, but having almost no vegan option at all but two, if you take the option without egg. Eventhough the food was very good, I felt I could have gone to any non-vegan brunch & have the same vegan option, of not more... Definitely not coming back until the vegan pancakes are back! Side note: Our waitress was very nice & understanding, thanks to her we still had a good time & didn't leave after looking at the menu
Thanks for enhancing my taste buds. Being a meat lover I tried a vegan classic cheese burger which tasted amazingly like og cheese burger. Hates off guys. At last I would like to give thanks to the server (forgot her name but she is tall & wear black specs) who gave good suggestions to try from the menu item & took care of each small detail of our requirements. Thank you so much. keep it up!!! Highly recommended for All Vegans. Good food & ambience. Must try dumplings, classic cheese burger, salmon tart.
Even if you're not vegan this place is spectacular & delicious! We did dinner here years ago & the quality hasn't gone down one bit. We did breakfast & it was tasty & filling - plus the mocktails were also delicious to the point where we felt like we were getting drunk still. 10/10
This place is a vegan gem! The menu is creative & diverse, with something for everyone-even non-vegans would love it. I tried caramari fries, buffalo cauliflower wings & the mushroom risotto & were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, & the staff are knowledgeable & welcoming. Whether you're vegan or just curious, this is a must-visit spot. I can't wait to come back & try more dishes
A great vegan restaurant. They understood allergies well & brought over a binder over to review the ingredients on each dish. The staff was very friendly & professional. Highly recommend.
Décevant que le menu soit passé de végane à végé mais nous avons eu une super soirée, notre serveur, Félix, était exceptionnel, sympathique & il a rendu notre soirée mémorable!
I brought my partner here for a date night. I wasn't sure if it was going to be intimate enough, but I've been to LOV before & love their menu. It turned out to be a lovely evening & exactly what we needed. The server was attentive, gave recommendations, & I was overjoyed to see some of my favourite item still on the menu as well as many new items that were creative & absolutely delicious. We were full, but still ordered dessert & had absolutely no regrets. LOV has been a favourite of mine because of it's vegan menu, & every non-vegan friend I've brought to this place has always absolutely loved it. This time was no exception; my partner raved about the food. A bonus is that the McGill location borders Old Montreal, so we had a nice romantic walk in the old Port afterwards to digest all the food we ate. Lovely evening.
I wanna give more than 5 stars to this phenomenal hip-chic vegan restaurant because I feel it deserves more than just a 4.4 average. Everything about this restaurant was absolutely fantastic-from the aesthetics to the service to the food. If you come for lunch, you basically get an appetizer for free! (1100-1430) I came here for the mushroom risotto & it did not disappoint. How can this be vegan? That's what I kept asking myself. Find out for yourself & come on over!
Great atmosphere, service & drinks but mediocre/bad food. If I could I'd round up to 2.5 stars for the great atmosphere, staff & drinks, but the food is poorly thought out & expensive - & the texture of everything was somewhere between perplexing & offensive. Sauces, textures, temperatures & flavours were all mismatched. There were some interesting components in the tofu Benedict, but wow what a miss structurally (when it's easier to eat a bene with your bare hands, it's clear they missed the brief). The LOX bagel was terrible on so many levels, honestly we should have returned it. The waffles were almost fine I guess, but again texture & flavour balance weren't there. There are clever components on the plate, but I think trying to emulate non veg options is a real mistake. PS: There are real Montreal style bagels from actual Montreal bagel shops that are vegan - there is no reason to use the utterly trash American style bagels they've chosen. Inconceivable.
Great vegetarian/vegan restaurant in downtown Montreal. Several of their dishes have both vegan & vegetarian versions. The space is very cute & the noise level isn't bad for a romantic dinner. My wife got the vegetarian truffle mushroom risotto which was excellent. I had the coconut curry with butternut squash on rice with cashews & cilantro which I enjoyed immensely. The brownie dessert could have been better hence the one star reduction. It was over cooked & hard in spots. But overall I'll definitely return next time I'm the city.
