We came here on a whim for NYE. Excellent service, food & atmosphere. Restaurant was able to provide a fully vegan meal without advanced notice. Everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Un immense coup de coeur pour le service. Notre serveuse, Zoé, était incroyablement attentionnée & connaissait le menu sur le bout des doigts. Le sommelier, Nicolas, s'est montré avenant & généreux de son temps. Mention spéciale à toute l'équipe, efficace, chaleureuse & parfaitement synchronisée.
Nous sommes arrivés sans attentes, mais l'équipe nous a fait sentir comme si nous faisions partie de la famille, un véritable lieu de rassemblement. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter :)

TLDR: Cozy & delicious, but not really for celebrations.
It's a cozy bar/resto combo with great food. Maybe I've been spoiled in Dubai but the value wasn't quite there for me here unfortunately. Nearly 500$ for 4, split appetizers & desserts, 1 main 1 drink each.
Some context: I left a special note to them in advance for my dads 45y retirement celebration; we got an underwhelming sprinkler candle at the end that was over before we could even record, so I had to somewhat awkwardly ask for another. No quick celebration music, no singing, no complimentary drink or treat, just 15 seconds of small sparkles 🤷🏼?♂?
I take responsibility, but I fear the experience may not be very memorable for my dad.
Also not the venues fault, but note the road is trashed in front until it eventually gets fixed you'll have to park further & walk on icy/slushy sidewalks for blocks.
Nonetheless thank you to the friendly staff & delicious food, we enjoyed it 🙏🏼

Easily the best value culinary experience in Montreal. The miso-gratin oysters are to die for & the service is nothing less than extraordinary. Already been a few times now & will definitely be returning more especially as their menu is always changing & never fails to wow me.

Nous y étions hier soir pour l'anniversaire de mon chum.
Super ambiance & service.
Nous avons commandé les 6 huitres en entrée & celle au Miso etait parfaite: gratinee à souhait. Celle au jalapeno/erable etait delicieuse, mais nous avions pas l'impression de manger une huitre, le gout de celle-ci etait masquee.
La texture de la salade/ wonton décomposé était super. Le poisson était servi avec huile de sésame. C'était simple, mais bon.
Le ceviche lait coco/mousse de coriandre était gouteux, mais des saveurs que nous avons déjà goute auparavant. la mousse de coriandre était fade, nous n'avons pas ete epate par le melange de saveurs.
Les linguinis a l'encre de seiche étaient cuites à perfection. Un petit gout épicé venait masquer le goût des fruits de mers & la bisque de homard.
Le plat de canard a été servi tiède. La bouchée avec l'agrume était bonne & relevait le gout. La sauce sucrée style à l'orange etait bonne - la purée de celeri-rave etait un peu liquide.
D'emblée c'était bien, mais il manquait de saveurs & de complexité aux plats. Nous nous attendions à une meilleure créativité culinaire.
Je ne crois pas que nous reviendrons, mais avons quand même apprécie notre soirée. 🙂

J'ai souvent des commentaires mitigés à propos des restaurants gastronomiques montréalais (trop chers, surfaits, voire prétentieux), mais là je dois dire que j'ai été sous le charme. Un cadre sympa, des chaises confortables, une cuisine inventive époustouflante de justesse, avec des mets de qualité, très bien présentés, vraiment délicieux, les vins bien équilibrés & agréables, & un service vraiment professionnel. Bref, le top, pour un plaisir maximum & un prix raisonnable!

I booked the table last night to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. Tbh, i did not expect much because we are from Asia & I've been to many fine dining in Montreal & the service & food we received is not as good as we get back home. However, last night, Le fillet gave us a beyond Montreal standard. They really put their effort into their work. The food is good, i would definitely go back again to try more dish but the service there oh my, its amazing. Comparing to the price & vibe, its valuable for your money. I really recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good dining place to celebrate special occasion or just having a good time. I give 10 stars to my server last night as well. Thank you!!

Le Filet est situé tout près du Mont-Royal. L'ambiance est charmeur & le personnel est très attentionné. Nous avons pris le tempura au nori & la pieuvre grillé comme entrée. Tous les deux était bien préparé & cuit à point. La pieuvre était tendre & savoureuse. Comme plat principal nous avons pris la bavette de boeuf & la longe d'agneau. Comme un entre les deux nous avons pris les rondelles d'oignon, qui sont cuit au four & non frites. & en finale nous avons pris la tarte chocolat au lait. Tout était fantastique!

Wow, this place hits it out of the park! Even the price is reasonable. One of the most enjoyable dining & drinking experiences of my life. I & a friend both had the beet & raw fish salad, I believe it was jack fish? My friend THOUGHT she hated beets, not anymore! I also had the Negroni made with rye. Excellent! We lucked out & arrived when they weren't busy.

Yesterday I went with my husband to Le filet, The atmosphere is much simpler than we expected. & there's no wall between the kitchen & the bathroom entrances. Is this okay with the health department? The Octopus with Crispy Quinoa was divine.

I have usually a small appetite & all my friends & team worker knows that but this time I couldn't hold myself of eating from each meal everything really everything was extremely tasty ❤?❤?❤? & the service was excellent!! Le Filet is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Montreal. The service was attentive & thoughtful from start to finish, & the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale & inviting.
If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must. Every dish we tried was incredibly well-executed - light, delicate, & bursting with flavor. You can really taste the care & creativity in each bite.
Pro tip: come hungry, aim for the fish, & definitely leave room for dessert. Trust me - it's worth it.
Highly recommended for a special night out or anyone looking to truly savor the best of what Montreal's culinary scene has to offer.
