Decor looks very cheap, service is extremely bad. Don't understand why they're still in business.
The worst place I ever visited in Montreal. People are waiting outside while there are free places inside. When we finally came inside they told us that kitchen is closed & we need to order at the cashier. In 15 min it seems they changed their mind & open the kitchen cause they came to take an order of the neighbour table. Cheap interior. Hot chocolate & canele weren't tasty at all. If you don't know how to run a cafe it's better to learn how to make it before opening. You're loosing not only customers, you're loosing your profit as well. Regret of wasting my time & 30$
Very cute Christmas vibes!
Food & drink wise not the best, however. I would recommend to avoid the gingerbread drink, it tastes exactly like a ginger shot & was not drinkable for me.
The hot chocolate was good, not too chocolatey & the marshmallow was perfect.
The only reason this place is busy is because everyone wants to see the decorations!
Food is not good whatsoever & crazy overpriced for a powder hot chocolate.
We paid 50 dollars for two hot chocolate & 2 sandwiches that were cold!
& not to mention the uninterested & dismissive staff when they charged me for an extra item that I didnt want & wanted a refund!
Busy cafe, long line, feel festive inside. Hot chocolate is good, not overly sweet.
Aesthetic Appealing for the holiday cheer. Service was pleasant but it was slow considering the amount of staff. The long wait in the cold for expensive hot chocolate wasn't worth it. Overall if you want nice pictures & good music it's definitely a nice feel good place.
honestly the service was so rude, the hot chocolate was literally cold, & it took 20+ min to get it
We wanted to go there because of the hype on the social media. We waited 30 min to go inside. Yes, the place is really beautiful, we gotta give them that. The staff was friendly, but there's no table service, its just a counter, so it was long before we got our drinks. The hot chocolate (that costed me 9$!) tasted water, & the drinks (18$) were really basic. I don't understand the other reviews that says it was great. Not worth the hype...
Worth itttt!! Such a nostalgic feel! You should definitely get the hot chocolate
Really disappointed with my visit. I ordered two hot chocolates & waited over an hour, even though the café wasn't busy. I kept asking politely if my order had been forgotten & was ignored or answered rudely. After countless asks, someone finally realized the order had never been put in. I got my drinks almost twenty minutes later, paid full price, & the hot chocolate wasn't even good. Definitely not the Christmas spirit this place claims to have.
Ambiente mágico para quem gosta de Natal! Parece que você entrou em um cenário de filme de Natal dos anos 80. Pedi um chocolate quente que estava delicioso. Um pouco caro mas vale a visita.
We went there for the festive hot choco & it didn't disappoint. We got the dark chocolate version & it was still a bit sweet but it tasted delicious nonetheless.
The cafe was decorated with Christmas trimmings & it really gets you into the spirit of the season. It was a bit crowded & the line was long but it was not chaotic. The staff managed it very well.
Went for the experience & I think it was totally worth it! Yes it's an insanely long wait & yes the food is average etc, but sitting in that atmosphere, all cozy - so worth it. We got the special hot chocolate with the roasted marshmallow & it was so delicious. Wait time on a Saturday at 3pm was around 1h30m but the line built up fast after that.
Very charming atmosphere. The decorations are cute & staff are courteous. However, the 45 minute wait for 2 MEDIOCRE HOT CHOCOLATES was not worth the wait. It's almost like they put all their budget on their marketing & not the food itself. Walk in for the pictures, but you should leave & get your coffee elsewhere.
We've been looking forward to visiting with the kids but unfortunately won't be returning. The place is beautifully decorated & really gives you that cozy Christmas vibe. We expected & understood the long wait but the food & drinks were super disappointing. The sweets tasted stale, dessert wasn't fresh, the hot chocolates really didn't taste good. Our waitress forgot half of our order. Really not what we were hoping for!
We came here after a hockey game the night before & stood in line for almost an hour. A woman came out & spoke in French & told us they would close the shop within the hour. We decide to stop by at a different time the following day. The next day was a rainy one, it was a 5 minute wait. The full menu was not yet available that time of day. Baked goods, hot bevys & cocktail only in the afternoon. I enjoyed the Le Grinch drink (it was like a big shot). Hubs had a hot chocolate & some kind of cookie. Festive decorations everywhere. The restroom needs some attention. It did not have paper towels & almost noTP. I did alert them of that. If we travel to Montreal again I would like to try the pizza. It smelled so delish the night before when we didn't get in.
Instagrammable Christmas atmosphere? Yes. Worth the 1 hour wait? Absolutely not. Our hot chocolates weren't particularly hot, most of the food was sold out (1pm), & beyond the decor it was super underwhelming. I had high expectations for the drinks, but tasted like a powdered package you buy at the grocery store. Service okay (understaffed). Still want to go for cute pictures? Go early!!
I went on a Monday night but the wait time was around an hour. The waiter was really kind but they are severely understaffed. We tried a couple of items on the menu, the raspberry hot chocolate was really watery & underwhelming. We also tried the alcohol free eggnog- that one was acceptable but nothing exceptional. The pizzas were really bad we threw them away we got the Mtl fume & the la douceur des champs. The pudding chômeur was dry & inedible. The ambience is nice tho, worth a visit maybe with less crowd but I would not come again. It was really expensive for the quality of the food/drinks
A delightful pop-up café fully immersed in the Christmas spirit! The menu is beautifully crafted with festive inspiration, offering unique treats that truly capture the holiday vibe. Special shoutout to the "Choco Mauve" hot chocolate-it's an absolute must-try & a hit with both adults & kids! I visited with my child, & we were enchanted by the cozy, magical ambiance. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit, better to go in the morning to avoid the line up.
Yes cute place, but that's it .. the raspberry hot chocolate was terrible , & we ordered two of those , the one with coconut was ok I mean better than the other one but still not great , spending more than 50$ for our visit was definitely not worth it .. the service was terrible as well, asking for water to a guy at the counter & he seemed annoyed by me asking. Never again !
