Went for a business dinner, sat in the high tables by the bar, had to wait 20 mins before drinks arrived, waited another 20-30 minutes before bartender came back to take food order, we were ready to leave at this point. We ordered our food which arrived fairly fast & was good, bartender came asked if I wanted another drink, said yes then received nothing, she came back when I was almost done my meal asking if we needed anything, said a beer & she had totally forgotten about the order previously. Service was horrible & I will not bring people back to this restaurant. Worst experience i have had in Montreal at a resturant, I travel all over & usually really enjoy my time eating in Montreals great resturants but this is definately not one of them based on the service we received. I understand a hockey game brings allot of business but one person looking to sit down & have a beer especially from out of town & you offer a chair & I mean just a chair beside your pop corn machine that's rude.
There was plenty of room at the bar or even empty tables to put me at. I was treated like an after thought no effort in making me feel welcome more like make me feel like an out cast. I'll say this first impression is a big thing & I won't come back but if people ask I'll be sure to say don't waste your time. The only staff that smiled was the hostess.

Don't normally do a 4 star review, but here's why.
First visit to Canada, really wanted to try poutine. For the Brits here it's cheesy chips & gravy. Unfortunately the local kebab house has better options, even with bisto being used. Chef tried to use fresh potatoes but didn't remove starch, not a great finish.
Ribs were a good portion, slightly tough. I know it's not a smoke house, but neither is Harvester in the UK. Our Canadian friends have a lot to learn from the south!
Service is exceptional, hence the 4 not 3 stars.
Beer is questionable, glasses from 2022 in service resulting in no head.
Overall yeah, if your stopping here for a flight it's not too bad.
Really disappointed. They didn't send half my order (2 beers / salad) which with door dash is expensive. The beers & salad were ridiculous expensive. So door dash refunded it but that wasn't the point - it's their job at a bar to put the drinks in the bag, I waited an hour & then it was too late to even go out myself to get others. The bar takes no responsibility for ruining my order & my night. The girl on the phone at cage said someone would call today to give me a discount for what happened.. ok that's art least an effort but the person (some guy) called back to say he wasn't doing that. Top notch service cage. Super disappointing.
Good vibe during the hockey game. Wings were half-price & very good. When I got in, I asked for a beer, in French, & the waitress looked at me confused, & said'Whaatttt?' like I just spoke Chinese (I don't have anything against Chinese). In the province of Quebec, that's unacceptable. I was sitting at the bar, the only spot left, & when I arrived, I asked the welcome clerk to be relocated when a table would get free. She never came back, & I noticed a lot of places available when I left. Otherwise friendly staff. Still recommended.
The French fries were overcooked, but the chicken wings were excellent. Service was average, & the dining area was uncomfortably cold. On the bright side, the beer was great, & the free popcorn was a nice touch.

-Service was meh , had to ask for everything. Orders, refills, napkins water etc...
-food & drinks were terribly over priced & sub par, beer 11.50/pint for domestic
-nachos were $25 dollars & pretty much a plate of chips with veggies thrown over them .
- better off going to McDonald's across the street, best part was the popcorn they gave us when we sat down
- had chicken tenders that were more like soggy chewy chicken strips.
- $6 extra for sweet potatoe fries
Great place, fun atmosphere. Loved the beer le trou du Diable comes with popcorn. Ordered fried cauliflower & fish tacos, both delicious 😋🤩 great service 🤠😁
I recently visited La Cage, & despite the packed crowd & wait time for a table, I had an amazing experience! The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, & the staff were incredibly friendly. The beers were served ice-cold, & the restaurant was beautifully decorated. The washrooms were spotlessly clean, & there were plenty of huge TVs to enjoy. The ambient music added to the fantastic atmosphere. Overall, a highly recommended spot for a great time!
