We came on a very busy night , UFC/World cup games. It was packed & it seemed like we wouldn't have a table to sit at. Jackie however, gave us a true unmatched & amazing service by getting us a table not once but twice in the same day. At first , I thought he was the manager because of how he was handling the restaurant but then I came to find out he wasn't. In my opinion his attention to customers & the job will take him far in any domain he works in. Keep it up Jackie.

What a great restaurant/bar/ family restaurant! My husband raved about this place after a work trip so we went as a family when we were all in Montreal. The service was great, despite us showing up in the middle of a World Cup game & they were very busy. We were attended to, our food came out in a timely manner, & staff were very friendly! The popcorn was a real hit with the kids, & the variety of awesome drinks on the kid's menu was wonderful. Food quality & quantity was great as well. Both kids could not finish their kid's meals. The ambience was appealing & the place was quite clean, even with all the popcorn that gets distributed!!!!
The Salmon Tataki Bowl (pictured below) was simply amazing! The salmon was done perfectly with the perfect amount of flavour over all the veggies & rice. Highly recommend La Cage & will definitely be going back when in QC.
Fun atmosphere, good finger food & more. The tartare was good. I asked for extra hot sauce on the side which made it perfect. Good place to watch sports & enjoy some food. They make it fun during games. Offering shots during playoff for free of the number on your table matches the player. They have napkins from the opposing team to wipe your face with it which was great! Well done Cage!
We came as a group of 10 people with children for lunch. We arrived at 12:10pm & didn't have a reservation but they were nice & accommodating at the front to set us up a table. Once seated, nobody explained to us that there's a QR code for the menu, so we waited a little until we noticed the one QR code, which was not obvious, on a promotions menu. We got our orders taken but it then took an hour to receive our food. From the time we arrived at 12:10pm, to being seated & ordering, we received our food at around 1:40pm. Worst part is the children's' food came last & other people who we noticed arrived after we did got their food before. Nobody came to proactively apologize about the long wait due to being short staffed & very busy, until we flagged the server to ask as it had been a while & our children were very hungry. In the meantime they brought us a small plate of fries to share. In hindsight we should've realized it was a mistake to come during a busy game like the Champions League, but for a popular sports restaurant you'd think it wouldn't be an issue. The ambiance for the game was nice. Despite speaking with the staff, we didn't get any compensation for the long wait except the bowl of fries. The food is very overpriced-one basic nachos with added chicken is $35+tax, if you want to add guacamole it's an extra $5.75 so you're looking at over $40 for a nachos which is outrageous.
I've now been to Cage Aux Sports for 4 games, & every single time the experience has been outstanding. The service is consistently impeccable, the staff is attentive & friendly, & the food has been excellent every visit.
The atmosphere during the games is exactly what you want as a sports fan - energetic, fun, & welcoming. It's become my go to spot to watch sports, & honestly, I wouldn't watch a game anywhere else.
Huge compliments to the entire team for delivering such a consistently great experience.
I understand a hockey game brings allot of business but one person looking to sit down & have a beer especially from out of town & you offer a chair & I mean just a chair beside your pop corn machine that's rude.
There was plenty of room at the bar or even empty tables to put me at. I was treated like an after thought no effort in making me feel welcome more like make me feel like an out cast. I'll say this first impression is a big thing & I won't come back but if people ask I'll be sure to say don't waste your time. The only staff that smiled was the hostess.
Food was average, service was good. Wings were small, burger was not very juicy, quite dry. For what seems like fresh cut fries, they tasted dry & stale. Poutine sauce was mostly just congealed. Calamari pieces were super tiny, no substance to it. Dj played music over the Habs game, would've been nice to hear the game commentary.
