I ordered the philly steak while my friend had the veggie sandwich, & both were divine. It's so rare that I find a gluten-free option that truly satisfies my sandwich craving, & this did just that. A crispy yet airy wrap filled with well-seasoned, balanced goodness. The iced oat latte was also one of the best I've had. But what's even more worth noting is Chef Gordy's wonderful demeanour & genuine pride in his establishment. He made our first experience delightful; he was warm, welcoming, & so appreciative to all his patrons. Little details as well-such as the handwritten menu, the thoughtfully-designed sandwich wrapper, & the vast selection of gluten-free groceries (gluten-free tortellini & fun dips!!!)-genuinely made the experience. I would highly recommend anyone, gluten-free or not, to give this spot a try.
The food was amazing, & very easy for celiacs in Montreal to feel at home in an amazing breakfast/lunch spot. The crepe sandwiches were incredibly affordable & delicious. The staff & owner were also a treat to meet, & they really showed care for their customers. A must go experience in Montreal for gluten free people
What an amazing find! Always on the look out for gluten free places, & La Bolo a Lolo takes the cake. Sandwiches are absolutely amazing & made right there in front of you. 100% gluten free makes you feel extremely comfortable if you're celiac, but the taste & texture is so well done that non-gluten free people will be just as pleased. This place makes great strides to make gluten free food accessible & affordable!
Whether you're gluten intolerant or not, this spot is absolutely worth checking out. The food is not only 100% gluten-free but also incredibly fresh, flavorful, & made right in front of you. & the best part is that it's all offered at a very reasonable price.
The owner, Gordie, is a gem: genuinely kind, welcoming, & clearly passionate about what he does. Even though he runs the place solo, he handles it all like a pro & does his best to accommodate everyone.
This place is NOTHING BUT GOOD VIBES! Try it, you won't regret it.
I loved finding this gem. Has hot food, coffee, bakery items, snacks & a selection of gluten free foods to take & prepare at home. Perfect place for someone needing to get stuff for a gluten free guest or host.
Pricing was insanely cheap. I got a cafe, 2 cookies & 2 sandwiches for less than it would be in US for one sandwich.
Sandwiches are made with a gluten free wrap, which I'm usually not a fan of, but instead of detracting from meal like most GF'bread' products, it made it more enjoyable & easy to eat.
This shop took the ease out of traveling & searching for safe food to eat. Non-gluten eaters would be happy eating here. Lots of flavor.
Just went there with my girlfriend & her mom, the owner is super sweet! Everything is gluten free, Gordie explained he's a fellow celiac & gives the place/food careful attention. The prices are really affordable, & the food is delicious & super accessible for people with dietary restrictions & allergies!
Highly recommend this awesome gluten & nut free cafe! We enjoyed chatting with the owner & loved our fromage grille (grilled cheese), poulet parm (chicken parm), pastache sacoches (a crepe-like dessert with a perfect pistachio tasting cream filling), lolobrulee (ladyfinger with creme brûlée). The flour blend had no aftertaste & holds up very well to fillings. From watching our food be prepared to tasting it, it's clear he knows his stuff! Hope to return in the future! Thanks for a great meal.
The food here is SO good, if you're gluten free you must try! We got the Croque Madame Lo & Le Pizz (crepe hot sandwiches) & even my boyfriend who isn't gluten free loved his. We asked for a surprise dessert & he made us two ladyfingers - one pistachio & one crème brûlée. All of this plus one drink cost us $20.
Skip the tourist trap gf places & come here!!
Affordable, almost too much so, & delicious Gluten Free Food & such an amazing owner. Definitely check this out for wonderful food & shop.
This place deserves more attention! I'm neither celiac nor gluten intolerant, but the food is delicious, & I'm thankful that people with celiac disease have access to affordable & very tasty options in the neighborhood.
The sandwiches are delicious, & the grocery products are also gluten-free & just as tasty!
I will go again !
A fully gluten free supermarket & small kitchen, La Bolo a Lolo is an amazing gem. We got the opportunity to chat with the owner for a while & his mix of passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere & cooking up some delicious sandwiches makes this place a mark above the rest.
A gluten free store will always get me in the door. Great selection on pastas, cookies & cakes
Picked up some homemade gluten free gnocchi! Also a delicious chimichurry sauce. Can't wait to be back to try the Sandwiches after reading more reviews
& so so so affordable for gluten free!
Delicious & cheap. Super friendly owner. Hard to believe everything is gluten free, it's so good. Have lots of high quality sauces, sweets, & random other things like oat milk.
This place is 100% gluten free! I met Gordie the owner today who is a fellow celiac & he made myself (celiac) & my boyfriend some wraps. I ordered the mac & cheese & my boyfriend had the Mario one & it's almost like a panini. The wrap itself didn't fall apart, the taste was very delicious, the GF chocolate cookie was nice & gooey, the owner is pleasant. The prices you can't beat- mine was $6 & my bf's was $8 plus tax. He also had grocery items to make yourself which were decently priced as well. My boyfriend normally isn't fond of GF items but was impressed with this food. You have to go here & try it!
What a gem! Gordy was knowledgeable & awesome to chat with. The facility is 100% gluten free & nut free, which made me feel right at home. There's not only made-to-order sandwiches & snacks, but also a myriad of pastas, cookies, sauces, & drinks. Overall wonderful food, coffee, & conversation!
I have celiac & can here for lunch with some friends & we had a great time. We didn't wait long, the owner was welcoming, & the food was comforting & delicious. Part of the shop is also a 100% gluten free market with some great choices so that was also amazing as a celiac.
ce petit commerce de quartier est très chaleureux, grâce au propriétaire qui est dédié. Il offre des produits sans gluten ! Ça prend du courage & beaucoup de travail, bravo.
Delightful gluten free market & cafe. The carrot coconut soup & vegetarian sandwich were divine. Highly recommend. Thank you!
Hidden gem in Plateau for Italian goods, fresh made sandwiches, & excellent coffee. It has quickly become my go-to spot for breakfast - few spots in Montreal offer such welcoming service, affordable food, & great flavor. The owners have clearly put a lot of heart into this place - from the wide selection of gluten-free options to the homemade sauces & delicious desserts, it's one of my favorite places in the neighborhood.
