Review Summary

Kobo Ramen earns praise for its ramen variety and authentic flavors, with many reviews praising the tonkotsu broth for being creamy and well seasoned, the pork flank that is tender inside and crispy outside, and bowls that feel satisfying. Takoyaki, kimchi, and other sides are highlighted as tasty additions, while the staff and the warm, modern ambience are repeatedly noted. Yet opinions on value and portions vary, with some diners finding prices high or portions small, and a few criticizing the broth for being too salty or the noodles for being overcooked or not handmade. The vegan ramen option gets mixed reactions, being described as the least satisfying by some. Service and pacing are inconsistent for a few tables, with reports of slow starts and occasional delays, though many guests say the staff are friendly and attentive. Overall Kobo Ramen remains a solid choice for ramen lovers seeking a convivial scene and menu variety, even as expectations about consistency and price differ.

One of the tastiest bowls of Tonkatsu Ramen I have ever had. A delicate broth, & the seared porc fell apart perfectly. Egg? Flavourful & just the right texture. Noodles were perfectly done & the little side of hot sauce had more than just heat going for it. THANK YOU!

Some may enjoy it but I did not. Fresh, nutritious ingredients. As per other comments, not very authentic taste & very thick broth like gravy. I had the vegan. Would not return, sorry.

Ambience is nice. Shoyo ramen is good, had a choice of pork belly that is tender & tasty so that complimented the broth.

Noodles, pork great. Broth is too salty for shoyu & tonkotsu ramen. Slow service bescause the place was packed for supper. It's ok. I won't go back.

The tonkotsu ramen broth tasted like bath water. It had a nice color so I was excited but it was bland & the little flavor there was wasn't right. The bao buns were dry. It has so much potential. We need japanese food in sherbrooke. The meats were all good the eggs were done very well but the broth was unacceptable for a ramen place. The sauce on the bao was also too sweet & salty like a cheap store bought hoising sauce with salt added. The head chef needs to take a trip to Toronto or even MTL to try some good ramen places & understand the flavors they need to achieve. You guys can take this place to next level without too much effort or investment & truly become a sherbrooke staple. I'll go back to try the chicken broth because I desperately want japanese food but I'm dissapointed & have low hopes.
