We ordered a variety of apps, makis & nigiris. The curry maki is too over spiced & some of the nigiris were not made properly (too much wasabi in some) & just inconsistent. The cod for $28 is extremely small - enough for about 1 or 2 bites. Given the price point, it is not worth a visit.
Although a bit expensive, the portions & the quality of the food makes up for the price. Their omakase comes with 3 appetisers, 15 pieces of sushi & a dessert for around 120$. The pieces of sushi were quite big & the cut of fishes were quite generous. I especially liked their Funny Maki because there was a great contrast in the temperature which made it so unique & delicious. I was surprised because I usually don't like fried sushi that much. As for the appetisers, I feel like the first two dishes were a bit too sour which overwhelmed the flavours of the ingredients but their octopus appetiser had a great balance of sweetness & saltiness which made it so wonderful. The quality of the ingredients is amazing, each slices were really fresh & I especially enioyed the fresh scallop sushi which had a great seafood sweetness to it. The service was superb. The waiters & waitresses were all extremely patient & professional, taking the time to explain each dish while they were serving it to the table. Even though the place was quite fancy with the minimalistic interior decors, I feel like the semi casual atmosphere fits the place extremely well & it was pretty easy to talk at our table until later at night when the restaurant was more crowded, I felt like we had to shout a bit to be heard.

À mon avis, le restaurant japonais le plus raffiné de Montréal! Les sushis, makis, sashimis & autres sont frais, fins & extrêmement goûteux. Les textures sont incroyables. Le service est efficace & de bon conseil. C'est plus cher qu'ailleurs, mais ça en vaut largement la peine.
We had a delicious & fun mean at Jun I. We loved the service, & the fish was very fresh. It was billed as the best omakase in Montreal &, while great, it is not. The hot & cold dishes were ok, but stand out. The sushi & sashimi were great but the maki roll we got was ok. Recommend trying it & loving it when you have the right expectations.
Excellent sushi place. They have a small, but meaningful menu. The restaurant is very lively & inviting. We had dinner on a Wed, starting at open, & by 7 pm, all the tables were full. Three primary things on the menu: - "omakase" (in quotes because it is table-side, not traditional, bar-side, one-bite at a time). Includes 4 hot dishes, & 15 nigiri, maki, sashimi, - only the 15 raw-fish option, - a-la-carte. We opted for the 15 raw-fish option "omakase" with a couple of add-ons. The candied salmon trout was amazing. Sushi were fresh & tasty, albeit no premium pieces (CAD 75 for 15 pieces is quite generous, & hard to get premium pieces), Service was fantastic. Recommend.
Nous y sommes aller un samedi soir pour un anniversaire. Service impeccable, attentionné, belles recommandations de saké. Ambiance relax. Nous avons pris un Omakasé & un sushi moriawasé. Le rythme des plats était parfait. L'ensemble des plats était excellent. Nous avons raffolé de la truite confite (Masu Kinsey) & des pétoncles (Hotate kobujime), un peu moins du plat de pieuvre qui était très « gastrique »& qui, selon notre goût personnel, ne magnifiait pas la pieuvre grillée. Les sushi étaient tous, sans surprise, d'une fraîcheur idéale, le maki de pétoncle était sublime. Une excellente expérience culinaire.

The service was incredible, Eric is a great waiter. The atmosphere as well, but there is too much tempura in the b52 & dynamite. Although, the funny maki is amazing!
Le service est impeccable & on se sent très bien à l'intérieur du restaurant. Les serveurs & serveuses sont excellents & connaissent bien leur menu. Néanmoins, pour un restaraunt haut de gamme, je m'attendais à une qualité supérieure des sushis, ce que je n'ai pas eu lors de ma visite. La plupart des sushis étaient corrects. Ce qu'on a beaucoup aimé : le saumon (+++ ça fond en bouche), le hamachi épicé, le unagi dynamite & le lucky maki. Pour le prix payé (entre 10-16$ les 5 morceaux de maki & 10$ pour 2 sashimis), le rapport qualité/prix n'était pas à la hauteur de mes attentes. Peut-être une soirée manquée ? À suivre si je reviens pour essayer lors d'une prochaine occasion.
Très long comme service, pleins d'erreurs de la part du serveur (donne eau plat au lieu de pétillante / servir un verre de vin au lieu de bière/ il nous pas donner les serviettes humides pour les mains/ dépose deux assiettes de service par personne/ menu découvrir spécifiant qu'on préfère les makis ont nous a servi que des sashimis). Facture très élever pour ce que nous avons a l'habitude.
Ce restaurant est mon restaurant préféré, nous y sommes aller une bonne dizaine de fois & c'est le pire service que j'ai eu.
Got the omakase (tasting menu) here. While the food was generally good & the value is unbeatable, I feel like the flavours were not very balanced for some of the dishes. The flavour profile here leans heavily towards sour & zesty. There's a lot of citrus/yuzu & balsamic sauces used. It worked for the early salads & appetizers, but got exhausting towards the middle & I couldn't wait for the sushi for a palate reprieve. My favourite non-sushi dish was the wagyu, which really stood out for its umami & perfectly cooked rareness, although the thick bunch of carrots felt a bit excessive. When the sushi arrived, it did not disappoint. There was a variety of sashimi, rolls & traditional sushi. All were amazing & probably worth the price of the omakase on their own. My favourite was probably the pair of fried makis! Service was good & started quickly but slowed down A LOT the dinner crowd poured in after 7. Come early if you want prompt service & their full attention.
Everything was perfect ! I went there to celebrate my husband's award & it was an unforgettable dinner thanks to a wonderful surprise from the restaurant. Thank you very much ! & of course all the food was delicious especially Funny-maki is our favorite !
Fish is consistently top 3 in Montreal. Maki/nigiri/sashimi always solid. Ambiance & service have declined post pandemic. No sushi bar anymore significantly hurts the ambiance.

Les lucky maki semblent avoir beaucoup de riz ce qui rend le maki lourd & dilue le goût du centre. Autrement excellent !

Sushi moriawase was not fresh. The sashimi pieces were dry & unpalatable. Quite disappointed. I expected better for the price. The maki roll, however, was good.
Quel excellent repas!
Nous avions commandé l'Omakase; dorade en amuse-bouche fraîche dans sa sauce; calmars avec cumquat goûteux; magret de canard parfaitement assaisonné; truite avec un crumble fantastique; puis les nigiris, makis & sashimi, extraordinaires.
Le dessert à la crème & chocolat blanc (gâteau fromage déconstruit) délicieux mais aurait pu être un peu plus copieux.
Service totalement impeccable! Bravo !
On y retournera bien évidemment.
Les poissons sont extrêmement frais. L'omble chevalier, le bar rayé, l'oursin, le caviar de saumon: délicieux.
Nous aurions aimé qu'il soit spécifié quels makis sont cuits; on aime moins.
Le saké froid est très bon, & assez doux pour ceux qui aiment moins, le cocktail Paloma à base de tequila est surprenamment bon.
Le Mille crêpes est un choix sûr. La glace à l'oursin assorti d'un filet d'huile est audacieux mais... sans danger.
Le service est un peu long & il faut faire ses propres choix. L'«Assortiment du chef» est banal, mieux vaut se lancer.
Quel fabuleux festin!
L'omekase: pétoncles tendres, pieuvre un peu trop piquante, poisson blanc délicieux, palourdes tellement fraîches.
Les nigiris, sashimis & makis extraordinairement délicieux.
Nous aurions aimé un peu plus de dessert au chocolat blanc, tellement fantastique!
