Lovely atmosphere with lovely service. Went on a night where the menu was very limited but the sushi & tartare brioche were delicious. Would go again to try out other menu items!

My husband & I chose Hiatus for a date night, & it was an unforgettable experience. Located on the 46th floor, the restaurant offers a breathtaking view of Montreal, & we were lucky enough to catch a stunning sunset, which made the evening even more special.
From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The hostess was friendly, & our waitress was exceptional-she took the time to explain the menu & offer thoughtful recommendations. While the portions initially seemed small, they turned out to be perfectly satisfying. We left feeling content, without being overly full.
We shared two appetizers, enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine, & each ordered a main-the Filet & the Agneau. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, & beautifully presented. Dessert was just as impressive, a delightful way to end our meal.
Hiatus is undoubtedly on the pricier side, but given the quality of the food, service, & ambiance, it's well worth it. We will definitely return & look forward to bringing friends from abroad when they visit Montreal. Highly recommended for a special night out!
As someone visiting from Miami, I didn't expect to find this level of dining in Montreal-but Hiatus completely blew me away! From the moment I walked in, the service was impeccable-attentive, professional, & truly elevating the experience. The ambiance was modern yet inviting, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable meal.
The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish was executed to perfection, with flavors that were both bold & refined. The attention to detail in presentation & taste made it clear that this is a restaurant that takes pride in every aspect of the dining experience.
Montreal has surprised me with its culinary scene, & Hiatus stands out as a must-visit. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this place is an absolute gem. Highly recommend!

excellente soirée avec mon mari. L'endroit est magique pour nous puisque j'y ai eu ma demande en mariage, il y a 20 ans deja... (au 737 jadis) Nous y retournerons, a coup sur! Nourriture excellente
Came for lunch & had a great time in Hiatus! Sabayon au miso top, wagyu beef tartare with nicely balanced pallet & textures (& portion was appropriate for the main course), brownie with amazing raspberry coulis. The view is indeed stunning. Just be prepared that the menu may be different than presented on the website;)
Cadre magnifique avec une vue splendide, mais service extrêmement lent. Nous avons réservé à 20h30 & avons reçu notre plat à 22h30. La bouteille de vin commandée pour accompagner le cerf est arrivée avant le plat, & nous n'avons pas pu en profiter avec le repas à cause de l'attente. Les serveurs semblaient peu réactifs, il fallait constamment les solliciter. La nourriture était correcte, mais on paye surtout pour la vue, le service n'était vraiment pas à la hauteur.

Portions très petites pour le prix mais nourriture savoureuse, cocktails aussi petits mais très équilibrés, options végétariennes limitées (pas de plat principal végétarien). Vue effectivement imprenable. Service sympathique & suffisamment présent. Si vous n'êtes pas du coin, prévoyez d'être là en avance; lorsque nous l'avons finalement trouvée, l'entrée sur Place Ville-Marie était barrée, alors nous avons fait le tour du bâtiment avant de trouver la bonne entrée.

Incredible view, great decor, vibe & service. Very sleek. It is a bit pricey but the cocktail & dish I ordered were good. It would be great if there were more vegan options. The menu is very meat heavy.
