I've eaten at Enigma in Barcelone, La Tannière in Vieux Québec, & the Hiatus ranks amongst them. Innovative menu, surprising & delectable combinations, excellent wine pairings. I highly recommend the 5 course'off menu' menu. You will not be disappointed. The sommelier is excellent & the wine pairings thoughtful.
Everything was excellent. After reading some of the reviews & hearing comments about the pace of the service, I would simply say that Hiatus is not somewhere you go with the intention of rushing in & rushing out. It is an experience meant to be enjoyed.
That being said, better coordination when it comes to taking the initial drink order would be one area for improvement.
Otherwise, this was a true five-star experience. The food was exceptional, the service was attentive, & the view is simply spectacular. Hiatus delivers the kind of dining experience that feels special from beginning to end. I will absolutely return.

Une très belle expérience ! La qualité des plats & l'accueuil est au rendez vous. La seul ombre au tableau est de proposer par default des tips de 18% & plus. Arretez ce genre de pratique insupportable (payer mieux vos serveurs ou augmenter vos prix mais stop forced tipping)
Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant. À 150 $ par personne, il n'en vaut tout simplement pas le prix.
L'expérience a été décevante & beaucoup trop chère pour ce qui est offert. C'est davantage une expérience esthétique que gastronomique : la vue est agréable pour ceux & celles qui aiment voir Montréal en hauteur, mais les plats sont corrects, sans plus, & surtout servis en quantités beaucoup trop petites.
À ce prix, on reste sur sa faim & on risque même d'avoir besoin d'aller manger ailleurs avant de rentrer chez soi.
Nous n'avons d'ailleurs pas pu prendre de dessert, puisque la serveuse nous a informés que nous devions quitter la table : notre temps de service était terminé.
Bref, on paie surtout pour la vue & l'ambiance, mais certainement pas pour la qualité ou la quantité de nourriture. Je m'attendais à une expérience beaucoup plus satisfaisante pour ce prix.
The view is incredible, & the food & service really do not disappoint. They forgot the pain au lait, which arrived very late, but offered us the desserts which were delicious. Their pavlova is one the best ive ever had. Highly recommend.
L'endroit est magnifique & la vue est vraiment incroyable ✨ La décoration est très réussie & la nourriture est bonne. Les prix sont assez élevés & les portions malheureusement très petites, même si le cadre & l'expérience peuvent en partie expliquer les tarifs.
Le gros point négatif reste le service : le personnel n'étaient vraiment pas aimables, ce qui a gâché l'expérience. Dommage, car l'endroit a énormément de potentiel.
