Perché tout en haut de l'une des plus hautes tours de Montréal, un lieu se laisse deviner, presque timide: le Hiatus. Drapé de nuages, il surplombe la ville comme un secret bien gardé. En entrant, on a l'impression de monter au ciel ou d'être invité dans un nid d'aigle royal, prêt à savourer un bon cru, les yeux perdus dans l'horizon.
J'ai commencé ce moment suspendu avec un verre de vin rouge Languedoc parfait pour se laisser porter. En entrée, des gyozas aux champignons sont arrivés, délicatement suremontés d'une couronne fine en crêpe croustillante, nappés d'une sauce savoureuse. Un équilibre de textures & de goûts qui donnait déjà le ton.
Pour le plat principal, mon choix s'est porté sur: l'agneau, tendre à souhait, accompagné de pommes de terre fondantes, de légumes croquants, de fougères en rouleaux & d'une sauce au poivre rouge... Un pur régal! Le tout précédé d'un pain au lait parsemé de sésame & de fleur de sel, servi avec un petit beurre tout doux… un détail simple mais tellement maîtrisé qu'on le savoure comme une mise en bouche pleine de promesses.
Mon verdict: Un service attentionné, fluide, avec un personnel souriant & présent juste ce qu'il faut. Compliment sincère au chef! Tout était divinement soigné, équilibré & bon. Une expérience suspendue, un peu hors du temps.
Hiatus! Tu sais recevoir & mérite les 5 étoiles! & moi… je compte bien me laisser séduire encore. & encore.
Le cocktail Fluji Flyer, c' est extrêmement recommandé. L'ambiance est parfaite pour une soirée avec tes amies, une date ou juste un souper avec une merveilleuse vue.
Les serveurs sont super polis & très attentifs, tous sourient tout le temps & ils ont vraiment un très bon vibe.
Bref, j'ai adoré la fusion japonaise/française & je reviendrai.

Hostess wasn't helpful at all. I had booked a window side table but they put us in a different one & despite that we were only two & window side tables were free they didn't accommodate us & they weren't even nice about it .. we ended up leaving the restaurant without even having food …
It's a pity that staff aren't the best there , because the rooftop view is amazing … should be run more professionally….
Service was slow but servers were polite. I reserved a table for my birthday & I called many times to confirm about serving my own cake but no one responded & the didn't let me serve it.food portion is very small & of course expensive.

a real disappointment. menu is limited. mostly fish. I ordered the salmon which was under cooked for my taste arrived in a small bowl? My guest ordered the ribs that also arrived in a small bowl but were very dry & a little too spicy! she sent it back & they suggested the duck dumplings as a menu favorite. No luck she did not like the taste at all. they were nice enough not to charge us for both these disappointments but results is still a big disappointment food wise. Great Views of the City but food wise forget it.
Fantastic place! Great view. Great food. Great service. They staff pays attention you, but they are not constantly at your table bugging you. Also, the tables are space far enough apart that you are not eating on top of one another. Also, the music was not too loud. We love it.
Very nice experience. The food quality is excellent & did not disappoint. We were a party of 4 & no complaints were made, we all enjoyed our meals. The drinks, however did disappoint. First drink I asked for a Litchi Martini, they brought me a Litchi Martini with a cherry in it, the litchi really is the best part of the drink, my second drink, an Amaretto Sour, no sugar around the rim, detail is not at its finest with the bartender. The views are spectacular, unfortunately the design & decor is not. The seats & table are almost cafeteria like, a very minimalist design, not warm or inviting. I would go again for the food & to see the sunset from such a beautiful view.

Un moment parfait ! Les plats était excellent. Le service était tout aussi bien les serveurs était très aimable. Attentionné. Tout ce qu'il faut pour un bon service ! & l'endroit est juste magnifique. C'est un sans faute pour nous
Exceptionally beautiful scene of Montréal from the 45th floor. You are given plenty of time to indulge this scene because you are served with the speed of a raged snail. You can order exceptionally good food or inedible one depending on your luck, but you can eat everything because the portions are designed for a 5 years old.
