Originally from Sichuan, China, in 1994, Haidilao Hot Pot is the largest direct-managed Chinese hot pot brand in China and a globally recognized Chinese restaurant chain, with the total number of customer visits now exceeding 1 billion.
Reviews describe Haidilao as an exceptional, lively hot pot experience with fresh ingredients, flavorful broths, and a wide sauce bar, set in a fun atmosphere with noodle dances and birthday moments. The service is consistently praised for attentiveness, friendliness, and going above and beyond to help guests, creating a welcoming, engaging vibe. Reservations are often recommended due to crowds, and some visits note brief delays or cold seating during peak times, but most reviewers feel the value and generosity of portions justify the price, and many say they would return with family or friends for another memorable meal.
Amazing hot pot place! I didnt expected a place to give us such a treat! So well equiped in everything, if you need something to clean your hands, extra something, they provide, also super kind staff & the food really good! I would say that you expect to have something like a buffet but! The quantity & the prices are not bad at all & they have discounts depending at what time you go, so in the end the price its really worth it & sometimes you pay less & get so much nice food for less than a buffet.

I had an amazing dining experience at Haidilao, & a huge part of it was thanks to our server, Lion. From the moment we sat down, Lion made us feel so welcome & attended to all our needs with a warm & friendly attitude. The service was incredibly attentive, & Lion went above & beyond to make sure our meal was perfect. The food was, of course, delicious, but it was Lion's exceptional service that truly made the evening unforgettable. Thank you for making our experience so special - we can't wait to return!"
The food was fine but can become very expensive if you come alone by yourself. If you are alone, try to come when the combo or the fixed price selection is available which I didn't have the option at the time I went. Otherwise, it's not worth it. I am from San Francisco Bay Area
Amazing restaurant. Best quality of food. Everything is fresh. The restaurant even add a nice touch if you go there to celebrate birthdays (it was not expected). Our server Alvin is friendly, patient & has great sense of humour. He explains the menu very clearly & detailed. We will definitely go back again & again even we are from the West Island.
A total experience. From the taste & variety of the menu to the restaurant setting, we dis not feel like we were in Montreal. We adored the experience, it was really one of a kind

It was my friends birthday & the employees were so nice to us. Service was amazing & took care of everyone on the table. Will definitely come back again!
Our waiter Lion gave us an AMAZING service! We came for my parents birthday month & he made sure they feel special. He sang happy birthday with enthousiasm litting up the room! Lion is really attentive to details making sure we don't miss anything. The restaurant is clean, has a good selection of food that we can order on a tablet (English French & Chinese available). It's an "à la carte" hot pot (not all you can eat) so it could become pricey. But aside of the price, it's worth it for the amenities & the A+ service.
The food was very good, interesting flavours. Cool concept where you can choose 4 different flavours of soup base for the hotpot & then choose the meats, noodles, vegetables etc you want to cook in the hotpot. The waiters were all very helpful, courteous & very accommodating.Overall, great experience once you understand how the menu works. I loved that they thought of every little details to make the experience great for their customers like the little hair tie they give to clients so that their hair doesn't get in the way while they're cooking & eating. Very well thought. I would try it again.
Overall great Hotpot experience! The moment you walk in, you are greeted by a hostesse who will assign you a srat based on the number of your party. Each seat has a pull up storage where you can put your belongings while you enjoy the food. The sauce making & fruit section is self-served which allows your creativity to kick in to make the dipping sauce you like. The ingredients (meat & vegetables) were fresh & served in a timely manner. You should expect $50+ per person on a normal day. After 9pm, the meat price drops significantly so you can take advantage of hotpot at a more reasonable price. This restaurant is very clean & the servers are very attentive to your needs. Washroom is also equipped with extra items such as hand cream, mouth wash & floss.

Tried a delicious Chinese hotpot recently! The broth was flavorful, especially the spicy tallow beef & even tom yum. The ingredients were fresh - tender, seafood, sides ordered were nice,. I loved customizing my dipping sauce with chili oil & sesame paste. The staff were attentive, & the cozy ambiance made it even better. Perfect for a fun meal with friends or datenight ! Received a cute goodie bag at the end which was the highlight !
Service was good throughout the meal. The pork bone broth we chose was delicious. The signature marinated beef was a bit of a miss for us. Didn't taste like much. For anyone who's planning on going, please review carefully your receipts before paying as there could be mistakes or extra charges for nothing. After coming back home, we looked at our receipt carefully & realized they had charged us for the sauce "bar" although we did not ask for it nor did we take any. We were a party of 4 so we basically paid a total of 16$ + tx for sauces we didn't even use. I guess it was our fault partly for not reviewing carefully the receipt at the restaurant. Also, one of the managers (I think he was a manager) gave us his words that he would be giving us a 12% discount if we managed to finish our meal within 90 minutes. Which we did... but we ended up having only a 6% discount. I don't know if they were just honest mistakes from their part or if it was deliberately done...but hopefully its the former! So pls be careful before paying!! We learned our lesson & not sure we want to come back agin because of this...
