Great service, music & atmosphere. We came as two for a weeknight dinner & we loved it. We were recommended the duck, the chirashi sushi, the albacore tuna tataki & the grilled vegetable root salad & they were all absolutely fantastic. Our standout goes out to the duck which was really incredible. Big thank you to all the team & definitely coming back!!
Fraîcheur des aliments, présentation originale des plats & service attentionné. Ambiance assez bruyante. Le poulet Nanban est un incontournable ! Nous n'avons malheureusement pas apprécié la surprise du plat combiné de sashimis, on ne nous a pas clairement expliqué que nous devions faire nous-mêmes nos sushis...
Interesting sushi / Japanese. Very hipster vibe. Worth a visit. We opted for preset menu (not quite omakase) . Lots of good things like chutoro, perfect egg, chirashi, & one carrot appetizer with some unchewable greens.
A fancy little gem with a great vibe. The staff was very kind & explained each dish as it came out. I ordered a few dishes but the two clear standouts were the nanban fried chicken & the chirashi. First off, the fried chicken was a pleasant surprise, because it was INSANE -the best fried chicken I've ever had. The exterior was a perfectly satisfying crisp imbued with the best flavor. It kind of reminded me of Cantonese pan fried chicken but refined to a peak it never thought it could reach. The chirashi was as beautiful as it was delicious. The fish was super high quality & each piece practically melted in my mouth. It was definitely top shelf omakase grade sushi. This place was such a nice treat. Treat yo self.
Very unique japanese reataurant. There were some sushi & sashimis on the menu, but I opted to go with items I didn't usually see on typical Japanese menus. First off, I went through the wrong door, the side door instead of the front door. Not sure how I missed it. I saw the chinese words over the main door & didn't think that it was the right restaurant. The waitstaff was nice enough not to make me go through the front door again. My waitress was so warm & friendly. Went through some recommendations. I ended up getting the recommended grilled miso aged duck. I got the marinated veggies, & chicken karage. I topped it all of with creme caramel au matcha. The duck was so well executed. Perfectly charred with a thin black layer on the fat side of the duck. You can taste the smokiness from the char. The chef timestakingly grilling each duck in front of the bar crowd. The chicken karage was delicious. Juicy & full of flavor. The white dipping sauce was a good compliment. The highlight of the night had to be the dessert. I was very full after my 3 small plates & a drink, but was able to finish this pudding like dessert with ease. It was light & not too sweet. The match flavor did come through but did not overpower. The sweetened strawberries complemented the dessert well. Service was great my water was never empty for more than 10 seconds. I'd like to try their sashimi next time. Or tuna tataki. The chefs really take their time dressing each dish. Really enjoyed the experience & the food.
This place was an incredible dinner spot on my recent trip to Montreal. The open kitchen made for a great time watching the sushi chef at work, the staff was friendly/attentive, & the food was delicious. I had the agedashi tofu & lamb ramen, both of which were outstanding.
Nice sushi restaurant 🍣 a little over priced in my opinion. It was so very hyped that I was expecting something over the top. I must say that I was a little disappointed. Not to say that the food or overall experience was not good as it was good just not exceptional. If you are in the area it's definitely a nice spot to check out but I would say the place will make my top 10 or anything, I am a huge sushi snob do so unless you are like me you might not notice but for the price I have had better sushi & Japanese food 🍡. I didn't get a drink my friends did & found them ok but nothing to write home about so good but a bit too pricey for what it offers in our opinion 🍹 🍻 🍷. It's a relatively nice tapas menu with generous portions so pretty happy about that. The parking in this area is also not easy so I suggest going by metro as it's literally across the street.
Fleurs & Cadeaux was on my hit list for a while & I finally got to try it. The atmosphere was cozy & the place was quite popping for a Wednesday night. I can be a little picky with my wine & I can honestly say that out waiter went above & beyond to make sure I got the perfect wine for my palate. He brought over quite a number of bottles that fit my criteria for me to sample & pick from. We got the tasting menu & I loved how they curated it specially for us. We started with shrimp chips & a sea urchin aioli, then had an albacore tataki & a braised duck in white miso sauce , which were outstanding. After that, we got a fried chicken dish, & a dish with grilled vegetables, but the star dish was certainly the sushi style platter. There's a cute speak easy beneath the restaurant with good & reasonably cocktails, I especially liked the ones with Japanese whiskey, it was just the perfect way to end the evening.
The food is fresh & tasty. We had the chicken & duck which were perfectly cooked & grilled. The fish platter is also super fresh. Note that this is not traditional sushi; the rice is different & you build the sushi yourself. However, the soy sauce was imported directly from Japan & the dish tasted amazing. It is on the pricier side for sure.
10/10 spot in Montreal for incredible Japanese. The way the restaurant is set up is fantastic as most seating is "bar" seating, authentically Japanese, so you can watch the staff prepare certain dishes (we got lucky & were sat right in front of the sushi counter). Excellent ambiance from the second you walk in & great music. As for the food, I have no words. The chirashi sushi was phenomenal - the fish was so fresh & tender with impeccable taste. Was so nice to see the wasabi be freshly prepared to order for each dish which impressed us. The aged duck was absolutely mouthwatering & would highly recommend. However, surprisingly to us, the star of the night was the fried chicken. I don't even know where to begin in describing the dish so all I will say is it is a *must* order. Plus we were pleasantly surprised by the portion size! We love fried chicken & this was hands down the best fried chicken either of us had ever tried. We'll be going back just for the chicken. Can't praise it enough. Service was good but a bit slow, although I think this is intentional from the restaurant so you can get a full experience. There was a bit of a hiccup where we didn't get one of our dishes but our server was a pro & took care of it immediately & made sure the issue was rectified & comped which we felt was super nice. Overall a truly hidden gem in Montreal that merits all of the 5 star reviews it has amassed. Cannot wait to go back asap & also check out Sans Soleil in the basement.
Beautiful little gem hidden in Chinatown. One of the top 3 best sushi places in Montreal. The fish is so fresh & the waiters always have amazing sake recommendation. You can never go wrong at Fleurs & Cadeaux. P.S. Do try the Sans Soleil speakeasy downstairs. You're welcome

Vibes immaculate. Sushi ridiculously fresh. Ramen insane. Fish & chips sublime. Ngl the steak was slightly salty. Will come back for life. 4 LIFE

Such good quality sushi, & a great experience sitting at the bar directly in front of the chef!

A place like no one in town. Great food, a beautiful saké list & a vibe. Chirashi sushi & duck are a most.

Nous avons dû commander plusieurs plats car ce sont là des petites portions. Ils étaient tous délicieux & franchement différents des sushis habituels. Ces plats se démarquaient vraiment. Très bon service & nous avons vraiment beaucoup aimé notre expérience.

We took the plater sushi (84$) & we were a little bit sad of the taste. The fish was good & fresh, but we felt like it was missing something (sauce, toppings). The experience of doing it urself was fun. But like i said, something was missing to enhense our taste buds, also the rice had a too dominate taste that took away the amazing taste of the fish. Service was amazing.

Endroit funky avec du sushi présenté de facon très original & d'une fraîcheur impeccable. Le torro à essayer, quel délice!

5 étoiles comme toujours.
Par contre, je suggère de ramener les sushis pressés au restaurant & non au bar uniquement.
Merci!

Delicious sushi, & other Japanese specialities. Great recommendations on the saké selection as well.
Will definitely be back again!
