A bit disappointing for such a highly rated place. It's really unacceptable that they bring olives & bread to the table without asking, & then charge $6 for it. That's not the kind of surprise you expect in a restaurant of this level, it feels like they're trying to squeeze extra money from customers.
The food was okay. I tried the bouillabaisse, & while it was fine, it wasn't anything special, certainly not worth the high prices.
Overall, nice atmosphere, but overpriced & not transparent with the charges.
We went for L'après 9 promotion & were absolutely satisfied with the food. Big portion & very tasty. Their signature bouillabaisse is a must-try. The duck confit risotto was also great.

We were looking for a late dinner in downtown Montreal & our hotel concierge snagged us reservations here. The food, service, & atmosphere at Ferreira Café is top-notch. The highly capable staff will not guide you astray. Every one of their recommendations were delicious!
Not enough praising for this gem!! I have not been wowed by a restaurant this way since April 2023. Service is absolutely top top notch, attentive to the slightest details. Wine list is impressive. Cocktails are also crafted quasi perfecto (I'm a big bartending aficionado & love my big ice cubes), that aside cocktails are excellent. Food... EVERYTHING is excellent. Went with a big foodie party & we love sharing, so got to try multiple things, the octopus both as appetizer & main, the sardines, the cod cake, the duck with risotto you name it! & the desserts!!!! Their pasteis de nata, the mouse etc etc are amazing, they have a great sharing dessert degustation plate highly recommended. Loved the open kitchen behind glass with everyone moving in full sync. Highly recommended!
Was an amazing food experience, seafood & desserts were all phenomenal. Our waitress Sara was very friendly & attentive, 10/10 experience. A highlight of my Montreal trip!
Ferreira undeniably offers the most elevated dining experience in Montreal when it comes to Portuguese cuisine. The elegance of the atmosphere & the culinary mastery are simply unmatched. Every dish is delectable & cooked to perfection with beautifully balanced flavours. They have an exquisite wine selection. The ambiance is upscale & comfortable, the servers are very attentive & the overall experience is simply remarkable.
I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic & delicious Portuguese cuisine.
Exceptionally very fresh seafood. Very attentive & welcoming staff despite the fact that it was busy. I would say you can't get wrong with anything in the menu, but I would highly recommend so sardine appetizer!
The food & atmosphere of this place is amazing!! I wanted to try everything on the menu so will be going back.
However what we decided to order was good but not excellent. The crab cake was mainly béchamel & onion. Good but not what we expected. Most things were slightly overcooked. For the price we expected perfection! The citrus earl grey sorbet crunch has such potential but has so much liquid it made the'crunch' soggy.
Ask to sit in the back if you're interested in haut cuisine- you have full access to see the kitchen! Very cool.
I think we came on an off night because the menu, service & atmosphere speak for themselves! One to come back to to try again 🤞🏻
I went for lunch with my friend we seat at there Terrace. Food is great 👍 I love everything. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice . I definitely recommend 👌
I wish I could give this place 6 stars! We went at 9 PM & had the prix fixe menu. The food was perfect & the service was outstanding. With the promotion after 9 PM, we got way more than what we paid for. The seafood was fresh & perfectly cooked. We tried both of Mr. Carlos Ferreira's wines, & they were excellent. We even ended up buying his olive oil to take home. Thank you to this restaurant for exceeding my expectations!
Tried this Portuguese restaurant after noticing the red Michelin sign at the entrance. Overall, a great surprise - creative dishes at very fair prices. With a bottle of wine & dessert, dinner for two was CAD 310, which felt reasonable for a Michelin place.
Ham 🌟🌟🌟🌟- tasty, rich fat, but tiny portion. Fun fact: menu says'the best ham in the world.' When I asked who decided that, the waiter said,'they did' lol
Black Tiger Prawns 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - grilled perfectly, with mild chili oil & scallions.
Scallop Crudo (Ceviche) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟- the highlight, fresh & sweet, with fruity dressing, strawberries, & crispy chips.
