Afficher toutfresh(66) sesame(66) cheese(62) cash(36) debit(30) viateur(29) shop(28) dozen(22) canadian(21) salmon(19) oven(18) garlic(17)Best bagel in the city! There often is a lineup during the day, it is worth the wait. My favourite is a warm, freshly made sesame bagel, but the onion bagel is also delicious!
Before I left Montreal, I needed to try these. When I got there, the line wasn’t as long & it moved pretty quickly. I went in & got a dozen bagels (blueberry, sesame, whole wheat & all dressed). I was also recommended the cream cheese (original) with the salmon spread. As I got to the airbnb, I gave it a try. It’s soft & thin - nothing compared to American bagels. When it’s toasted even better. I sliced each one & frozen them up. I have a good amount in my freezer.

I'm basing myself on the only 2 bagels we tried. The everything bagel & the garlic one. Honestly they were slightly hard & stale. I have the feeling they're not the ones they sell the most so not the freshest. The everything bagel tasted mainly of fennel which I hate & the other tasted like bitter burned garlic. Im sure the sesame bagel is amazing but for now St-Viateur is still my fave.
