The concept of the restaurant & the experience it provides was incredible from start to finish. It was truly an amazing dinner. There were a few things that our group of 5 would have enjoyed:
The tour of the gardens & explanations of their mission & how they operate was a very nice touch to help understand the culinary experience, but we would have preferred to have a bit more detail of the gardening techniques, storage (past just showing the fridge) & how they are able to operate a seasonal menu all year round.
The service was professional & courteous, but past explaining the dishes there was little interaction at all. It was have been nice to able to converse more about the food, but I understand in a busy restaurant that isn't always a possiblity. As soon as the dish was explained, the staff member would immediately walk away.
Our waitress Jeanne did an amazing job. Our group of 5 had lactose, vegan & vegetarian restrictions & they were all accommodated without a problem or error. That was very impressive & appreciated.
The last point our group felt was the portion size. Having taken the 6 courses (spread out on almost 3 hours), I would have hoped to be full after the meal. Taking nothing away from the food, it was incredible. 750$ for 5 people, you would expect to be full. As someone with a background in the restaurant industry, it could be communicated that it is more a culinary discovery/small bites than a full dinner.
We all felt we would definitely come back to try another seasonal menu, but maybe on a less busy day to be able to interact more & be learn more about their techniques & methods if the menu is at that price point.Voir plus

An Absolute Hidden Gem!
I can't say enough good things about Espace Old Mill. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely transported! It's rare to find a place that feels so rich in history yet so beautifully cared for. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, with the river running by & the stunning old stone buildings all around. You can feel the soul of the place.
The venue itself is impeccably maintained & thoughtfully designed, balancing rustic charm with modern comfort. Every little detail felt intentional, from the layout of the spaces to the beautiful lighting at night. It's the perfect spot for an intimate gathering, a wedding, or simply a day to reconnect with nature & history.
The staff was also incredible: warm, professional, & genuinely passionate about the place. They made sure every part of our experience felt special & easy.
Espace Old Mill is truly one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. We can't wait to go back. A real treasure tucked away in Stanbridge East!Voir plus

L'équipe est vraiment très sympathique & généreux tout est bien expliquer au client & ils sont très attentionné.

The food was a delicious & varied exploration of various root vegetables, worth every penny & second. The only thing holding me back from a full 5 stars for the food is the visual similarity between the two first services & the two last services both being iced cream

Everything was excellent here. Unique & local at a level with the much lauded Noma in Copenhagen. The staff spoke excellent English. Two recommendations: 1) Go in the winter when it is fairly easy to get a table & 2) don't arrive starving, it's not that kind of place. Merci Beaucoup!Voir plus

On a adoré l'expérience. Je recommande prendre l'accord vin qui sont un match parfait & dormir sur place au Cecil House. La visite de la serre avant le souper donne tout un sens à la démarche manger local & nous fait encore plus apprécier les plats.Voir plus
Expérience créative & savoureuse. Une façon originale de découvrir les légumes de chez nous que nous n'avons pas l'habitude de consommer. Portions adéquates, on se sent bien en sortant (pas bourré & pas besoin de doggy bag pour éviter le gaspillage aliementaire). Plusieurs services, ne soyez pas pressé.Voir plus
