Dosa is perfect. Veg noodles, chicken 65, Gobi Manchurian are all delicious options too. Idli & vada are absolutely the best at dosa point--chutneys & sambar are so tasty. The staff are very very friendly & warm. I love you dosa Pointe.
Good Food, But Consistently Poor Service
I have visited Dosa Pointe multiple times, & unfortunately, this experience was disappointing again.I had to leave a review
We ordered one achari masala dosa, one veg noodles, & two rose lassis. The lassi arrived first, followed by the dosa-but the veg noodles never came at all. We were two people dining together, & only one of us got their meal while the other kept waiting.
We didn't follow up immediately because this has happened 3-4 times before, & we've always tried to be understanding since restaurants can get busy. However, this time it wasn't even crowded, & still there was no check-in from the staff or acknowledgment of the missing order.
One thing I've consistently noticed is that this issue seems to happen whenever we order Indo-Chinese items. If that section of the menu cannot be managed properly, it might be better not to take those orders instead of leaving customers waiting indefinitely.
The food we did receive was good, but the service really needs improvement. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.
Wow had been here yesterday with my family. Never had this good Andhra chicken curry & parotta even when I worked in Andhra. Hakka cuisine is to die for. Starters to noodles to Veg Manchurian everything is top notch. Will sure make this restaurant my family's go to place
Visited again on 3 Feb, & had a plate of Vada … this time sambhar was really tasty & chutney were nice. Vada was not fresh, but decent.
Chilli garlic noodles was spicy & tasted nice, but it was a little more oily.
Their Indo-Chinese dishes are a must try.
Overall ***.5

Old review
Trio fried rice with manchurian was really very tasty, i did request for spicy & it was to the mark… awesome & i will try their other Indo-Chinese dishes.
As for the mysore masala dosa, it lacked the authentic taste, just had the podi chutney :( i didn't like the sambhar either, chutney were fine. For this price, this would be 1.5-2**
Staff is very friendly & listens carefully
Dosa Pointe on Jean-Talon is a solid spot when you're craving bold, comforting flavors. The menu delivers generous portions at a very good price, making it excellent value for money. The real standout for us was the spicy garlic noodles-fragrant, punchy, & perfectly cooked with just the right heat. Overall, it's a great place for flavorful, affordable food, & we definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
This ks by far the best dosa place in Montreal, maybe even all of Canada. I would even challenge someone to find something this good even in India. The masala mix is really good, better than any I've ever had, & their Chettinad chicken keema dosa is fantastic & so filling (my favourite). The sambar is extraordinary & full of flavours. The vada is crisp, the idli is soft & melts in your mouth. The chutneys go perfectly with the dishes. They even do spicy garlic noodles which make even me sweat (I love it). This is a hidden gem of Montreal. My happy place. The staff is kind, the owners wonderful. I just love Dosa Pointe.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! We ordered the lacha paratha with butter paneer, & it was absolutely delicious. The paratha was flaky & perfectly layered, & the butter paneer was rich, creamy, & full of flavor - just the right amount of spice & sweetness.
We also tried their noodles, & they were a pleasant surprise! Perfectly cooked, nicely seasoned, & had that classic Indo-Chinese kick we love. It's great to find a place that excels in both North Indian & Indo-Chinese dishes.
The staff was friendly & attentive, & the overall atmosphere was clean & welcoming. A must-visit if you're craving comforting Indian food with a side of flavorful Chinese dishes. Highly recommend!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
An absolute gem for both South Indian & Indo-Chinese cuisine! The dosas here are some of the best I've ever had - perfectly crispy, generously filled, & served with flavorful chutneys & piping hot sambar. We tried the masala dosa & Mysore dosa, & both were outstanding.
What really surprised us was how good their Chinese food was too! The chilli paneer & hakka noodles were bursting with flavor - just the right amount of spice & perfectly cooked. It's rare to find a place that does both cuisines so well.
The service was friendly, the portions generous, & the restaurant was clean & comfortable. Whether you're in the mood for traditional South Indian or spicy Indo-Chinese, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!
So far the best dosa in montreal. You can also try the chinease. Veg hakka noodles were so well prepared. The food is always fresh. Must visit.
Gongora Dosa & chutney were awesome.. we ordered noodles for kids & told them not to make too spicy & they served as we told them..kids were happy
I ordered 3 dosas, Manchurian & veg noodles. The food every time is really delicious & worth. This time we found hairs in noodles. It's really disappointing. I'll just wnna say to be more careful about the hygiene the most important thing. It's not expected but it happened.
Best food 💯 We tried Masala Dosa veg Noodles & munchoorian was little extra fried balls but fine. Service person was really not have good behaviour hope u guys can improve that. good luck .
I recently visited Dosa Pointe, & I must say, it was an incredible dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, from their crispy, flavorful dosas to the noodles & other amazing dishes we tried. Each item on the menu was prepared with great attention to taste & presentation. The desserts were also a perfect way to end the meal, with just the right amount of sweetness. What made the experience even better was the hospitality & service. The staff were extremely polite, attentive, & made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. It's clear they care about their customers, & it added a warm, personal touch to our dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Dosa Pointe to anyone looking for tasty food & top-notch service. Will definitely be coming back!
Great food. We tried paper ghee masala dosa, veg manchurian & veg hakka noodles. Food was tasty. Happy to find a great place serving indo chinese & hakka. Usually places with south indian do not have great hakka food but this place did a great job with both. Decent pricing, tasty food & good service.
We are from GTA & have been in many places in Canada & tasted indian food. We can unequivocally vouch this restaurant serves best tasting south indian food. Even all chutneys that they serve on side are of highest quality & taste that one will never find anywhere in North America. We ordered Dosa, Idli (super soft & tasty), Chilli garlic chicken noodles (awesome taste) , coffee (delicious), mango lassi, gulab jamun (yum). Everything we ordered had the genuine taste of flavours that the food deserves. The servers are well mannered & we loved them. The owner is so genuine & down to earth that we felt humbled to talk to him. We strongly recommend everyone who visit Montreal to dine in here at least once & rest assured you will leave with a happy tummy & smile. Thanks to everyone at this restaurant. Chef, we love you!
Where to begin Ambience - it's as close to you can get to an Indian setting breaking all stereotypes about cleanliness as well as the overall tone of the place. It's spick & span with a lovely & soothing vibe. Service - we were a group of 4 people & we ordered a variety of items ranging from dosas to noodles & lassi & what not & each & every one of them was delivered under an impressive time & the restaurant staff , infact 5 of them were available to cater to our needs throughout our stay there. Food - it's one of the best if not the best restaurant out there when it comes to authenticity & the taste. Whatever we ordered, each dish was prepared up to such a perfection that it felt like being teleported back home just for a quick bite. We had a mutton dosa , vada , masala dosa , chilli cheese dosa , lassi , gulab jamun, tea & we had a lengthy & mind you it was an intense discussion among us regarding which one should be declared as the highlight of the evening (spoiler alert - everyone declared what they ordered as the best one) Here comes the actual highlight, we were visiting Montreal & are originally from Kingston & our esteemed driver Friend didn't want to drive during the night because of visibility issues & also because he is a nutcase. But yeah so we ordered some takeout for when we reach Kingston but we were in such a hurry to leave that carelessly enough we forgot to actually take it out with us & midway through our return journey the realization hit , soon enough a call was made to the restaurant & they confirmed that we did leave the parcel there. We asked for all the possible options & if at all a refund was on the cards , the staff on the other end just asked for a minute to consult with the manager & within two hours a refund for an amount of 40 CAD was processed via interac. So, thank you for the lovely food & the amazing service as well as the care, rest assured whenever we would be in Montreal we are bound to make a trip to dosa pointe.
If you're craving a delightful mix of South Indian & Indo-Chinese cuisine, Dosa Pointe is the place to be. Their idlis are soft & fluffy, served with an array of chutneys that perfectly complement each bite. The dosas are crisp & golden, generously filled with your choice of savoury fillings. On the Hakka side, their noodles & fried rice are a treat, striking the right balance of flavours & spices. The ambiance is warm, & the service is prompt & friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a diverse & satisfying meal!
The food was absolutely amazing. Genuinely spicy & traditional by Indian standards. It's by no means watered down i.e. it is proper spicy. In Montreal, this tends to be a problem as the food is less spicy in order to cater to a medium level spicyness. Not here. Dosa Pointe is perfect. I loved the Chicken 65, the Chicken Dosa & the Chicken Hakka Noodles. The Idli was a good appetizer as well (nowhere near the previous 3). This is definitely a good place to eat out if you enjoy spicy Indian food.
Last night we were a group of six friends all from India but from different states. We had Indo Chinese fusion food called Hakka, for the Soup where you will get Chicken soup in Canada for $4.50 & it was so delicious. We tried Chicken Manchurian, Egg noodles, Gobhi 65, Garlic fried rice etc. so good for the price. We all found it same or better as we get back in our country. No compromise on flavours & spice. Will definitely visit again. Full worth of your money
Great food & decent prices. One of the best places in Montréal for Indian style Hakka noodles!
