Where to begin Ambience - it's as close to you can get to an Indian setting breaking all stereotypes about cleanliness as well as the overall tone of the place. It's spick & span with a lovely & soothing vibe. Service - we were a group of 4 people & we ordered a variety of items ranging from dosas to noodles & lassi & what not & each & every one of them was delivered under an impressive time & the restaurant staff , infact 5 of them were available to cater to our needs throughout our stay there. Food - it's one of the best if not the best restaurant out there when it comes to authenticity & the taste. Whatever we ordered, each dish was prepared up to such a perfection that it felt like being teleported back home just for a quick bite. We had a mutton dosa , vada , masala dosa , chilli cheese dosa , lassi , gulab jamun, tea & we had a lengthy & mind you it was an intense discussion among us regarding which one should be declared as the highlight of the evening (spoiler alert - everyone declared what they ordered as the best one) Here comes the actual highlight, we were visiting Montreal & are originally from Kingston & our esteemed driver Friend didn't want to drive during the night because of visibility issues & also because he is a nutcase. But yeah so we ordered some takeout for when we reach Kingston but we were in such a hurry to leave that carelessly enough we forgot to actually take it out with us & midway through our return journey the realization hit , soon enough a call was made to the restaurant & they confirmed that we did leave the parcel there. We asked for all the possible options & if at all a refund was on the cards , the staff on the other end just asked for a minute to consult with the manager & within two hours a refund for an amount of 40 CAD was processed via interac. So, thank you for the lovely food & the amazing service as well as the care, rest assured whenever we would be in Montreal we are bound to make a trip to dosa pointe.
Nice place, much authentic Indian cuisine & nicely maintained by the owners. Not much happy with the staff a female with tattoos around her hands, very irrespective & rudely asked us to wait outside their door without any courtesy.
Authentic south indian good! Would go back over & over again whenever im in Montreal 🤤🤤 i forgot our parcel on the way back hime but they were kind enough to refund it although it was my fault. Grateful for the service, appreciate it. ❤️
If you're craving a delightful mix of South Indian & Indo-Chinese cuisine, Dosa Pointe is the place to be. Their idlis are soft & fluffy, served with an array of chutneys that perfectly complement each bite. The dosas are crisp & golden, generously filled with your choice of savoury fillings. On the Hakka side, their noodles & fried rice are a treat, striking the right balance of flavours & spices. The ambiance is warm, & the service is prompt & friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a diverse & satisfying meal!
The food was absolutely amazing. Genuinely spicy & traditional by Indian standards. It's by no means watered down i.e. it is proper spicy. In Montreal, this tends to be a problem as the food is less spicy in order to cater to a medium level spicyness. Not here. Dosa Pointe is perfect. I loved the Chicken 65, the Chicken Dosa & the Chicken Hakka Noodles. The Idli was a good appetizer as well (nowhere near the previous 3). This is definitely a good place to eat out if you enjoy spicy Indian food.
Best Dosa in the whole city. Authentic Indian flavours. Everything on the menu is delicious.
Wow what a find. Came to Montreal on a visit when someone recommended. First thought it will be like others but honestly really a gem. Indians in Montreal & surrounding will never miss India for South Indian food. Only one word Excellent.
Never thought we will be getting such authentic still economical South Indian food in Canada. Tried so many places in Canada even in Toronto but never found a place like this. Hats off to the team
We have tried this place at Montreal. I have ordered my favourite Rasam🥰😍✌️❤️. Guys must try dish from their menu. I have literally replaced my regular sambhar from Rasam in my dosa plate. We ordered Maisoor dosa, ghee paneer masala dosa & Paneer Bhurji Dosa( must try dosa from their menu as well). We also ordered onion chilli uttapam - one of the best dish they have.🥰 soft & goes well with chutneys. They coconut chutney was outstanding🥰 Must try place if you have craving for South Indian foods. They do have non veg options & biryanis as well in their menu. Just I got struggle here is Parking. Because of downtown there is bit struggle to find parking space but taste has overpower this issue😅 Highly recommended👍
Great food & decent prices. One of the best places in Montréal for Indian style Hakka noodles!
My favorite south Indian restaurant in all of mtl. I love their Hakka Fried rice so much that i ordered in bulk for a recent party & it was worth every penny spent. The ordering process was so smooth - care was taken to understand our needs & the order was given so much care & attention. Their communication was on point & the pickup was a breeze. 10/10 would recommend .
Easily the best South Indian food around Ontario-Quebec, especially love their dosa & idly. They would also put a lot of good restaurants in India to shame. I keep coming 250km from ottawa at least once a month with my primary objective to have dinner here, along with takeout for my breakfast for next morning. The only issue is the location & trying to find parking around the restaurant. Takes at least 20 minutes of circling around every time.
I just loved the south Indian food here. We ordered Chettinad Masala Dosa & Mysore Dosa. The dosas were very delicious. Both the dosas were as good as the ones you get in India, if not better. I also ordered veg noodles. The noodles were perfectly cooked & tasted really good. I would have liked a little soy sauce & some chilli sauce on the side. Unfortunately they do not serve any sauces apart from the coconut & garlic chutney. Overall I enjoyed my food. I didn't mind waiting 10 minutes to get a table. I will definitely visit this place again to try their wonderful variety of dosas.
If you want to taste real South Indian food, you should go to this restaurant. They have yummy dosas, idlis, menu vadas, & more. It's really popular, so expect to wait about 30 minutes. But it's totally worth it if you love South Indian food!
Best south indian food in Montreal! Authentic food & good service! Cheap & affordable too!
Excellent place to get good authentic Indian food. Highly recommended. Noodles were spicy, exactly the way I like ❤️
Tha taste of dosas is authentic South Indian. 😋 no one can miss talking about the chutneys. Their coconut chutney offers an authentic South Indian dining experience. From crispy dosas, schezwan noodles, to mango lassi each dish is a flavor-packed journey. I highly recommend it for authentic South Indian food.
