The meats are great, definitely better than surrounding places. However that's pretty much all that's good. The fried rice was the worst I've ever had, super bland & greasy. The noodles were mid too. Would still return for the meat though, will just stick to white rice next time.
Love this place!! Low key, really good food & great prices! Took my girls there for my birthday & we all had a good time. Cute waitress gave us a great service 😊 highly recommended!!
Great people & food. Dimly lit ground floor & in a commercial building.
Lowkey & cute place in Chinatown. Lowmei with char siu & duck is my go too now
Aside from the cha siu pork, which was juicy & tender, I would not recommend this if you want authentic Cantonese cuisine. The soy sauce chicken was cold & the skin was slimy. The fried rice was small in size & its taste was reminiscent of Panda Express. Prices were reasonable.
I'm disappointed to post this review as I'd like to support this restaurant & gave it several opportunities to find a customer for life. First off, I would say I visited half a dozen times previously with mixed results including closed without notice, & out of bbq meat by 6pm. My most recent visit will likely be my last try. I rsvp'd (through Instagram & confirmed with the person running their Instagram) for a special dinner offered for Chinese new year. The menu sounded delicious & I invited friends & family to come along. When we arrive, we're informed that they are sold out of all the dishes that were part of the special menu & were not even aware of our reservation. The hostess was very apologetic & offered a slight discount on our meal. We should've walked out because the food that followed was not worth the hassle. More brown gravy than food, more rice than any other component, each dish was a disappointment. Worst example: We ordered eggplant & beef, a pretty traditional Chinese dish. We got 2 pieces of eggplant to share across 6 people, & probably a handful of pieces of beef. Add 2 cups of plain brown gravy & a bowl of rice for $20. I rarely leave bad reviews. But I wouldn't want others to be blindsided like we were.
C'était vraiment excellent. Le porc & le canard étaient savoureux. Le thé au lait chaud aussi. Une belle découverte. Même les enfants ont adoré.
We were downtown Montréal & my family wanted Chinese food. I really did not want food that I could eat at home But, I am so happy we went to Dobe & Andy Chinese restaurant. The food was amazing & our waitress ( Zoe) was incredible & very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were on point. The barbecue meats are so good. If you are in Montréal, don't miss this restaurant. Thank you, ~ Zoe
Excellent Cantonese chow Meir, salted 7up & service was on point. Great music too. Definitely the next gen of Chinatown.
Service super amical. J'ai hâte d'y retourner!
One of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. The roasted meats are all very good & the hk milk tea is delicious as well.
Changed owner or changed manage team, the food now are not as authenic, tasteless food, nack of service.
Great food at great prices. Serves beer by the pint which is nice. Friendly staff. Went on a busy Saturday night during lunar year year, things were hectic, staff was friendly & apologetic. Nice to see a legacy restaurant so crowded.
