Went here this weekend & it was amazing! We got the fried rice with wanton soup & both were absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come back & try more dishes here

From a Chinese person's perspective, the restaurant is disappointing given the overall ratings. Limited menu, long wait for food (although they may have forgotten about our order & comped us an iced tea). Didn't mind the atmosphere as it would be what's expected in Chinatown.

The wonton noodles weren't great. The chow mein was fried a bit too much & noodles were used were too thin to be fried so much. The best part of the meal was the iced lemon tea.

This time around, we actually sat & took the time to dine.

Their noodles is something else & this time it was different.

Located inside a building, not hard to find. I'm usually in for these type of food for the price & quality. This place, the quality was not there. Ordered the roasted pork/BBQ pork combo. Roasted pork had more fat than meat, the skin was chewy. BBQ pork is usually moist but it was on the dry side, sauce should've been added but zero was added. Young Chow Fried Rice was the only decent part of the experience.

Our waitress was incredible. Despite us being a little late on our reservation, she was extremely warm towards our group & super enthusiastic. She saw that we were foodies & wanted to taste everything so she took the time to strategize how we would go about our order to maximize the amount of items we could taste.

The food was delicious. We got the 4 meat platter, shrimp & duck fried rice, chilli wonton noodles, duck chow main, veg of the day & soup. Everything was delicious.

I highly recommend this place & serious kudos to our waitress for being such a rockstar & providing authentically warm & enthusiastic service to our table.

Disclaimer: I went to this restaurant at the end of the day, about an hour & a half before closing on a Monday. So I'm not going to judge too harshly. I really enjoyed the vibe. I kept thinking I was in a movie in the 80s. Which is great. The service was great. I'd like to try another dish before I make a final judgment. Because the chicken fried rice & dumplings were super good. My BBQ beef was a little "bony." What can I say? I'd still recommend it, though. Also, it wasn't super expensive for what you got!

The place has been around since the 80s & I get why. The pork BBQ was my favorite, over the egg fried rice. No frills, hole in the wall, full of character. I thought the duck was a lot of bones & not a lot of meat, that would be the only thing I wouldn't order next time. Quick walk from the metro, fun to take in China Town too

One of my fave Chinese food spots in Montreal. Love the roasted pork, chow mein, & fried rice.

15$ for a plate of fried rice!! Would expect a bigger portion like other places. Very expensive for what I got. Disappointed ! Seems they turned into high end

Food was amazing! Everything we ordered was a hit! Roast meats platter, hk pork chop over rice, yang chow fried rice, chow mein (crispy noodles), Chinese broccoli, etc. Will definitely come again when in town, wontons, etc.!

The meats are great, definitely better than surrounding places. However that's pretty much all that's good. The fried rice was the worst I've ever had, super bland & greasy. The noodles were mid too. Would still return for the meat though, will just stick to white rice next time.

Aside from the cha siu pork, which was juicy & tender, I would not recommend this if you want authentic Cantonese cuisine. The soy sauce chicken was cold & the skin was slimy. The fried rice was small in size & its taste was reminiscent of Panda Express. Prices were reasonable.

Very nice & simple restaurant, serving traditionnal & modern hong kong style food. Fast & amazing service too! Highlights : - Char Siu Pork - Crispy roast pork belly - Well Seasoned fried chicken! They kept to same retro style as the old restaurant (it was a chinese noodle before) & it brings out some childhood memories ♥️

We went there on a Friday night, around 7h00 pm. I was expecting a big crowd, but it was pleasantly calm to see we didn't have to wait long (less 5 min) to get a table. The waitress was friendly & welcoming. Compared to other asian restaurants in Chinatown, the staff speaks excellent french/english. Decor has pretty cool vibe, mostly inspired from Bruce Lee & other movies/videogames from the 90's. Restaurant was ok in term of cleanliness, I have seen much worse in Chinatown. The menu is not extensive, but has enough items to please most crowds. We were a party of two, & we decide to take a speciality combo : Fried rice + combination of 3 meats (roasted pork, char Siu, & duck). The rice was very tasty, had that charred flavor that only a wok under gas grill can accomplish. A bit greasy (watch out diet followers), but that is to be expected. - Char Siu : very good, the meat was juicy & delicious. Maybe I would have liked a bit more browned/cooked on the exterior, but overall very good. - Roasted pork : the crispy skin is umamic! Meat was juicy, not dried at all. Maybe the best meat of all 3. Wished we had a bit more of this one! - Duck : less crispy skin than the roasted pork but still very good. The meat was slightly dried, but the taste was there. There was also green onion sauce with ginger, & pickled vegetables on the side, which were appreciated. It costs us 20$ + tip, & we have enough food for 2. Probably one of the best value for money in Chinatown. The only downside (& major upside) is that it's located inside a building. Not on Viger street. So you gotta know where to go. Takeout is also possible. Overall, the food was better than most of Chinatown restaurants where I've been, & it has an exceptional value for money. Will certainly go back. Perfect to bring a date, while showing your foodie personality!

Decent Chinese food. The wok hei on the stir fried bok choy was pretty good but the noodles were cold & not as firm as I would have liked. The duck was good but the char siu was rather dry. Friendly staff.

Duck fried rice was good & the garlic dumplings were amazing. I have to admit the decor is a little funky & just not my thing but it does not detract from our experience.
