Deville Dinerbar offre une atmosphère moderne et conviviale, allant d'un brunch décontracté entre amis à des soirées plus animées, avec un cadre rétro‑moderne et une cuisine généreuse et soignée qui reçoit régulièrement des compliments sur la présentation et les saveurs. Les portions sont généreuses et les plats, quand ils fonctionnent, affichent une belle technicité avec des options variées allant des burgers et plats de viande à des sélections plus légères, et les desserts et cocktails sont souvent mis en valeur. Le service est généralement attentif et professionnel, mais la constance peut varier selon les soirées et les équipes, avec des retards possibles en période d'affluence et des remarques sur le niveau sonore parfois élevé. Le rapport qualité‑prix est parfois pointé du doigt, même si l'ambiance et l'expérience globale restent positives. Au final, c’est une adresse recommandée pour une sortie entre amis ou en couple, où l’esthétique, la carte diversifiée et l’énergie du lieu créent une expérience agréable et mémorable.
Way overhyped for what it actually is. Food'quality' is good - good quality meats & vegetables. Flavors are not good (I know that's subjective), plating is not good - way too large for the tables, no room on the table. Very large, yet pretty bare, plates.
Service was mediocre (& I'm being kind here). The restaurant was empty - barely 4 tables. We were all seated/crammed one next to the other. We couldn't get a booth'just in case a big group came over' - although we had reserved. Waitress was not friendly & didn't check on us regularly. Manager was arguing with another table. You are not allowed substitutions... Basically, everything was'no','no','no'.
If you are to spend >100$ per person (without drinks) take your money elsewhere for better tasting food & way better service.
Très déçue du service. On nous informe à la dernière minute qu'il faut payer des frais supplémentaires pour le serveur, soi-disant à cause d'une nouvelle loi… alors qu'on avait déjà laissé un pourboire. Apparemment, ce n'était pas assez. Vraiment pas professionnel.

We reserved at this restaurant because of the name, we honestly chose it for that BUT so glad we did. What a GEM! The food was amazing, we actually can't stop thinking about the app we ordered (Mac & Cheese wontons) & the ribeye I ordered melted in your mouth. I do have to say the time to get our drinks was absolutely absurd but they were slammed so I'll still give a 5 star because the service was nice & the food is worth the 2 hour drive. We will definitely be returning to try other dishes but in the meantime we highly recommend the Short Rib Mac & Cheese, the ribeye steak & the Mac & Cheese wontons!
Returned to this restaurant & again, it was fabulous. The food was delicious, the apps were amazing & the service & atmosphere were even better then the last time! Added photos of this round of food as well! Highly recommend!!

Been here several times before & has always been great. This particular
Monday night I guess the chef had an off night. Everyone's food was subpar except for 2 salads. Burgers & fries were cold & tasteless, the prime rib au jus came with a bland cold gravy, not the au jus that was on the menu. The waiter offered to change the fries & we took him up on it. Very surprising for this place as otherwise is usually very good.
We were on a trip from Maine & had a whole list of restaurants we were excited to try! After enjoying dinner on November 14th, we couldn't resist coming back the next night-& later that same night, we swung by again to grab some monkey bread to go! Haha!
Honestly, this place blew me away! The food, the drinks, & the service were all absolutely fantastic. I'm so glad I'm a bit far away from that tempting monkey bread, but I'm counting down the days until I can come back!

As we are downtown, English service is predominant. But no trouble getting service in French. Food was good, service was good. I went for lunch on a Sunday so it was not too busy.
Sam on the mezzanine Saturday night was amazing ! Beautiful smile, super polite & attentive, even after I miscalculated his tip & gave him less then he deserved, he kept smiling & wish us a great night. Food & cocktail were awesome. We will be back to make the gratuity right ! Sorry Sam xx you were the best !!
Absolutely loved this place, staff was stellar, the chef came out & chatted a bit. The fork & knife Caesar salad was incredible, I've come back home & it's the main thing that stuck out to me. No idea how a salad struck me so well, but it was amazing.
I had a steak sandwich too, just to try, wasn't my favorite, but I don't think I like steak sandwiches, I was just trying something new. The bread was amazing though & freshly made. The drinks were also very good, & the bar tender was very friendly.
Unlike much of Montreal the music wasn't exploding my eardrums & it was a nice comfy spot. Does close a little early, but highlight recommend if you're looking for a bite!

Loved all aspects of this restaurant - food was delicious with hefty portions; our server was friendly & helpful; & the atmosphere was a chic diner vibe.
Really wanted to have local oysters again so we decided to go to this place for brunch. Ordered half a dozen of oysters, a lobster Benny & beef ribs. All tastes amazing especially the lobster Benny (49$) & beef ribs. You can tell they put a lot of effort in making them tasty & beautiful. This puts a beautiful full stop to our trip.

J'ai beaucoup aimé l'ambiance du lieu : c'est vivant, agréable & le décor a un côté rétro-moderne très réussi. Le service était sympathique & rapide. Les plats étaient bons, bien présentés & savoureux, mais honnêtement, le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas tout à fait au niveau.
En revanche, les cocktails sont excellents. On sent qu'ils y mettent du savoir-faire : les recettes sont originales, bien équilibrées & très bien servies. Si vous aimez les bons cocktails, ça vaut clairement le détour juste pour ça.
En résumé, c'est une belle adresse pour prendre un verre & profiter de l'ambiance, mais peut-être pas le meilleur choix si vous venez surtout pour bien manger sans trop dépenser.

Trendy atmosphere with excellent food & table service that was not only fast but the waiter who accompanied us during the evening was really kind & ready to give excellent advice! All accompanied by good music! I recommend it
