I've been to this restaurant twice: once for drinks & once for a meal.
The ambiance is really nice, especially upstairs, & the wall paintings give it a nice touch.
We tried the Devil Burger, which was okay, & the staff were friendly & welcoming.
The music was really my style,
& I feel the value for money could be a bit better.

Been here several times before & has always been great. This particular
Monday night I guess the chef had an off night. Everyone's food was subpar except for 2 salads. Burgers & fries were cold & tasteless, the prime rib au jus came with a bland cold gravy, not the au jus that was on the menu. The waiter offered to change the fries & we took him up on it. Very surprising for this place as otherwise is usually very good.

We went to Deville Dinerbar on a Sunday night after a long drive from Ottawa, & it turned out to be an absolute surprise. The food was outstanding, full of flavor, & clearly made with care. They have an absolutely great beef program that truly stands out.

We ordered the short ribs, cheeseburger, Caesar salad, tuna tacos, & fries. Every single dish was perfect. The burger was to die for, & the ribs were some of the best I've had anywhere in Canada. The presentation, taste, & overall quality were excellent.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, vibrant, stylish, & full of energy. Another highlight was the service. When we arrived without a reservation, we asked for a booth, but the host mentioned they were all taken. One of the managers, who happened to be working at a booth at the back, overheard us & immediately offered us his own table. That thoughtful gesture made a great impression & really showed the professionalism & hospitality of the team.

Deville Dinerbar definitely earned a new loyal customer that night. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montreal

I got the take out of the Au Cheval burger. From the description, it sounds like it's to mimic the Au Cheval burger in Chicago......but the patties were too dry. Egg yolk was not running. Thick cut bacon were pretty good. Overall, not worth $36......

Very nice place ,
Price is a bit expensive for the food but the quality is very good. Definitely recommend for people trying to have a good experience & pay the price for it
I tried the chicken burgers & they were 10/10

Location is good at the middle Downtown. The burger & French dessert were so amazing & good quality. The red wine & Prosecco were nice. Just the service was slow, it was not busy Friday but we waited for our waiter too long

We were two couples there with our kids. The place doesn't offer any kids menu, but you can still find something for the kids to eat, like pasta for example.... The portions are very generous that a 5 years old kid won't be able to finish half of the plate, so take this into consideration, one plate could be enough for two kids! I have tried the Burrata Heirloom Toast (I recommend it) & Au Cheval burger (fair enough).

This place bills itself as an American Diner. It's not. The food is far too good to call this a diner. No disrespect to diners: I love a good corned beef hash. The burgers on this menu are so next level, they're orbiting the earth. I had the Paris No. 7. It was served on a wholly unnecessary brioche bun. The dish was swimming in a beefy, winey sauce that... well, let me rescind what I said above. You will want the bread so you can soak up every drop. I had a house side salad which is so good, they should just force everyone to get it by dropping fries from their menu. Cocktails were also pure perfection. Totally unexpected & wholly enjoyable dinner.

They were nice to allow my dog on the patio. The service was great from our waitress. Friendly & accommodating.

The fries were fantastic. Thin & crispy. Overall the food was delicious from the burgers to the pastas & cocktails.

Highly recommend!

Tried their burger & it was pretty solid although it is also priced somewhat high. 2 medium thick beef patties, good juicyness, good sauce although a little too liquid. The fries are fine but nothing too crazy. The place looks good if you're into that kind of aesthetic. All in all, good spot if you're willing to spend a bit, I'd recommend.

Sind auf der Suche nach einem guten Burger im Deville gelandet. Scheint ein Inn Lokal zu sein. Wir hatten keine Reservierung, bekamen doch einen Tisch alle sehr freundlich, unser Kellner war sehr professionell, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Speisen waren sehr gut.

I was searching for a place for a light meal near our hotel. This diner bar popped up on my radar. Didn't expect this place to be suitable for kids. They even have a kids menu (not a physical one but a verbal one).

When we arrived, we felt under dressed since there were patrons in smart casual attire. We were immediately guided upstairs where there were casually dressed people like us. We notice a few tables with families with kids. Our kids ordered mac & cheese unfortunately did not taste good & the burger wasn't the best. They ordered an orange juice but got apple. Kids didn't even have the appetite for dessert.

The music was too loud to even communicate properly which led to a miscommunication - mix up of an order. Thankfully they rectified it.

Overall this place wasn't for us, but I guess others might say otherwise.

We had a fun & tasty experience. It has a lively & trendy decor & music. We sat at a comfortable booth. We tried the tuna tacos which were light & delicious. We loved the wasabi mayo. The squid was crunchy & delish. Then we enjoyed the burgers & fries.
The salads looked amazing so I want to return to try one.

Je dois être complètement à côté de la plaque quand je lis les autres avis dithyrambiques.

J'ai clairement un problème à payer une addition de 150 CAD pour trois burgers & deux sodas.

Ok le service est sympa & l'ambiance cool. Mais c'est CHER en maudit pour des portions pas si généreuses que ça & une nourriture bonne, mais sans être extraordinaire.

La prochaine fois je ferai des burgers premiums à la maison. Aussi bon, pas long a faire & 10 fois moins cher !

si vous aimez dépenser de façon extravagante, cet endroit est pour vous.

Birthday at this restaurant was unexpectedly very costly. Came in with a birthday cake that was not allowed & the manager didn't even say hello first & kicked me out with the cake. The prices have skyrocketed since the last time I came 2 years ago & even just a sandwich can cost you over 40$. Nobody warns you if you're a group bigger than 8 they impose an 18% tip on all the bills. From the food I payed for, the Sandwiches/burgers are pretty good but not worth the prices, the filet mignon was not good because it was overcooked & the ribs are well cooked but not seasoned enough. On the other hand, the waiter was a nice guy & the restaurant's decor was nice.

Food was amazing 10/10 best chicken burger I've had, the service not so much. The waitress didn't check on us once, our drinks never got refilled, & when we mentioned it she said she had other things to do. With the price we paid, I'd like the service to match it.

Deville is one of my FAVOURITE spots to go dine at in Montreal. The aesthetic of the restaurant is beautiful, their service & staff are extremely friendly & their food is INCREDIBLE. My favourite item on the menu is their homemade donuts. Their burgers are also fantastic as well as their appetizers. There is so much I haven't tried there so I would like to visit again for sure! 100% recommend!!
