udon(43) matcha(22) onigiri(19) drink(18) beef(15) recommend(11) miso(10) rice(8) cafe(8) cozy(7) quick(6) sweet(5)Food is extremely good & good location, that is why i go. However it has been not only one time but 3 time there is something wrong with my order experience. I believe either the staff are unexperienced or there is not enough staff. Indeed, the first time i went they gave me a cold drink when I clearly mentioned hot. The Second time, i ordered the same drink cuz it taste good but it was wayy to sweet. Good thing is i believe the employee knew she made a mistake & saw my face so she made me a new one. Third time i asked before ordering how long it would take as they were busy, employee told me 10-15minute. I waited 30 minute & asked the employee just to realize the food was ready & hidden behind the counter but they just didn't make my machine beep to go take it.
Restaurant très mignon, mais le curry goûtait bizarre & le poulet aussi.
ordered omurice & it unfortunately just made me miss japan. none of that gooey center, more like a badly cooked omelette on plain rice & watered down gravy.
yuzu matcha had too much yuzu, to the point that the matcha was barely palatable. the yuzu was nice, but it overwhelmed the drink.
otherwise, the atmosphere is very nice. the music is nice & calming, but too loud for my taste.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I was genuinely disappointed by my experience here. The drink I received was incorrect-I requested soy milk, but it appeared to be made with oat milk & was extremely sweet. I wasn't asking for a full remake, only for the drink to be adjusted to be less sweet, as sugar causes me stomach discomfort.
Unfortunately, the staff member at the counter was unhelpful & cold, even after I politely & calmly explained the situation. I rarely ever ask for changes or complain, so the refusal to make a simple adjustment to my matcha was especially upsetting. I was surprised by the lack of flexibility, particularly since my request was reasonable.
Overall, the interaction left a very poor impression, & I don't plan to return or recommend this location. (I will say the place is cute🥰)
I LOVE Café Noya. The food here is so satisfying: hearty, tasty & yet not too fatty. Perfect balance as Japanese food always achieves.
The chicken katsu onigiri is seriously addicting (I could eat A LOT of those). You also can't go wrong with the creamy miso udon. Honestly, everything they have tastes fantastic.
I ordered the chicken teriyaki with rice on uber eats. The food was bland, no teriyaki sauce to be found. The chicken wasn't fresh, the rice felt like it just came out of the microwave. Overall, this tasted like a 3 day old left over meal that was barely edible. I can't speak about the service or atmosphere but the quality of the food is terrible.
The food was bland & not enough protein for the price. Too expensive.
Had the unagi onigiri & it was really good! Friend had the beef udon which looked so good, I had to come back in the morning to get the same thing. Beef udon was incredible!
Delicious! But the portions are a bit small for the price. But I will still treat myself to this every now & then :)
Our family was visiting Montreal for first time & this place was right next to our hotel. The venue itself looked amazing & very friendly. Unfortunately, it was just just the opposite
Veggie curry udon tasted really bad with hardly any veggies in there & the beef dish barely had any beef . It was a total rip off
The dessert (brownie) was very dry , old & burnt-
Great place, we (2 kids, 2 adults) were doing a quick stop in Montreal before continuing our road trip. It was an amazing choice, everyone love the taste & we repeat three times. The service was great & so is the atmosphere. The Udon is super recommended, so is the onigiri & the gyoza. Oh & the flavour sodas. Just come & try everything =)
J'adore!
A little gem in downtown! One of the tastiest Udon beef soups i have eaten & a matcha cookie i ordered after was freshly baked & still warm 🤯 highly recommended 🤩
