Fondé à Montréal et la toute première sous-marque de Fuwa Fuwa, Café Noya offre une nouvelle approche sur la cuisine japonaise dans une place unique de café et bar. Il sert des plats réconfortants faits maison.
Les avis décrivent Café Noya comme un petit café japonais mignon et cosy près de McGill, avec une ambiance décontractée et une carte variée incluant des gyoza, des desserts et une belle sélection de boissons au matcha. Le bouillon et l'udon au boeuf sont salués pour leur chaleur et leur profondeur, les onigiris sont frais et savoureux, et le tiramisu matcha ainsi que d'autres desserts donnent envie, tandis que certaines portions restent petites par rapport au prix et quelques plats manquent parfois de notes de miso ou de champignons. Nice atmosphere, stopped here on a whim, did not check out reviews prior. The roof was great, both the beef udon & beef don were delicious, not over seasoned or salty like some places. The cocktails were also very good. I would recommend
The food portion is relatively small for the price, especially the udon was pretty small. The drinks are more reasonable, I would recommend the drinks more than the food. The rice had a lot of rice on the bottom but little topping.
On the plus side, there was plenty of seating available on a Saturday afternoon, & the staff were friendly & welcoming.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I was genuinely disappointed by my experience here. The drink I received was incorrect-I requested soy milk, but it appeared to be made with oat milk & was extremely sweet. I wasn't asking for a full remake, only for the drink to be adjusted to be less sweet, as sugar causes me stomach discomfort.
Unfortunately, the staff member at the counter was unhelpful & cold, even after I politely & calmly explained the situation. I rarely ever ask for changes or complain, so the refusal to make a simple adjustment to my matcha was especially upsetting. I was surprised by the lack of flexibility, particularly since my request was reasonable.
Overall, the interaction left a very poor impression, & I don't plan to return or recommend this location. (I will say the place is cute🥰)
Great place, we (2 kids, 2 adults) were doing a quick stop in Montreal before continuing our road trip. It was an amazing choice, everyone love the taste & we repeat three times. The service was great & so is the atmosphere. The Udon is super recommended, so is the onigiri & the gyoza. Oh & the flavour sodas. Just come & try everything =)
A little gem in downtown! One of the tastiest Udon beef soups i have eaten & a matcha cookie i ordered after was freshly baked & still warm 🤯 highly recommended 🤩
A nice spot for lunch. I really enjoyed the broth of the beef udon-it's rich in flavor & very comforting. The onigiri was another highlight, freshly made to order with soft, fluffy rice. Portions are on the smaller side for big eaters, & the wait for onigiri can be a little slow, but overall it's a pleasant place for a satisfying meal.
I don't recommend the beef rice, though-the meat portions weren't generous, & the accompanying salad came without any dressing, which made it feel a bit lacking.
The food is really good!! I enjoyed my dining experience! & the staff was really sweet & attentive! I recommend their chashu porc croissant but honestly the whole menu is great. ✨

Food looks good, but tastes bland. My friend & I each ordered cold noodles , gyozas & drinks + dessert. I personally got sesame cold noodles & vanilla matcha.
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel the need to be completely transparent here.
As for noodles, the taste was extremely bland. The texture of crispy flakes very quickly became soggy & off putting in the noodles but that might be a personal preference. The most flavourful part of the dish were shiitake mushrooms, which speaks for itself. Portion is underwhelming, just like the taste.
As for the matcha, it was very sweet & i could taste more syrup than matcha. Also, the vanilla syrup they use tasted very artificial to me which affected my rating.
Overall, the food mostly just *looked* good but didn't taste it. Service was alright, nothing much to say. Wouldn't return, wouldn't recommend 🤷?♀?
Really great service & amazing food. My friend & I got the miso mushroom udon & the beef udon & it was delicious! I would also recommend the Hojicha latte.
Je vous recommande les onigiris sont incroyable !!! Les Udons & les dons aussi vraiment tout est rapide & excellent ! & les mochis fondent en bouche ! Bravo à vous !
The matcha was super good, no clumps, & cold! They make a good strong matcha i definitely recommend it.
The unagi onigiri is solid as well with some cucumber & avocado inside, perfect for a quick bite
