🍙 Onigiris
Tuna spicy mayo - 10/10, a little bit lemony which makes it really good
Unagi - 7/10
Smoked Salmon - 6/10
Beef Udon - 9/10, really good broth
Sésame dango - 6/10, okay but is a bit stale as it's been sitting in the fridge
Sparkling orange yuzu soda - 5/10, you don't really taste the yuzu at all
Next time I come I'll probably give the cream udons a try with beef add-ons!
🍜 The beef udon was SO GOOD - LOVED the broth -well-balanced broth that complemented the noodles. The noodles were also cooked perfectly (not under cooked nor over cooked). The freshly baked matcha cookies were soft, fresh, & not too sweet.
The people who work & serve there are also super nice -adding to the welcoming café vibes.

An absolute gem in downtown Montreal! You won't find another place like it for amazing matcha, udon, onigiri, & Japanese desserts. Not to mention the warm & dedicated service from the whole team, but especially the manager Mai. A must visit for tourists & Montreal locals alike!
UDON À LA CRÈME MISO CHAMPIGNONS: 8/10
Creamy & flavourful, very light! 100% recommend 😙 good for two people
MATCHA YUZU: 7/10
It was good. The yuzu overpowered the matcha but still very good!
HOJICHA SÉSAME (cold): 8,5/10
Delicious, onctueux!
Had the curry udon & chicken teriyaki. It was quite bland. The music was loud & it was only trashy female rap songs. Terrace outside is nice though
I LOVE Café Noya. As you can tell by my pictures, I come here quite often & I've eaten a lot of items here & love all of it. The food here is so satisfying: hearty, tasty & yet not too fatty. Perfect balance as Japanese food always achieves.
The chicken katsu onigiri is seriously addicting (I could eat A LOT of those). You also can't go wrong with the creamy miso udon. Honestly, everything they have tastes fantastic. My go-to, though? Spicy chicken rice with extra beef. I could eat that every day (& I almost do lol).
The location is also very convenient if you take public transportation as it's right next to Peel metro.
I'm telling ya'll, Café Noya is a gem. I love the food, I love the staff. It's my favourite place to eat at after work.
